Definition of Priest~ess for Today's Times.
Priest~esses honor the cycles and seasons of nature, and of life. They learn from, and work, with the natural rhythms of the Earth, Sun, Moon, and stars. They observe and value the relationships between Earth and Sky, nature and humanity.
In families and communities, priestesses bring awareness to the way change affects life by creating time and space to honor life passages. They create and often officiate ceremonies that recognize the transitions of birth, puberty, a new job, the loss of a job, marriage, divorce, menopause, elderhood, and death.
Priestesses may counsel and support others in times of crises, transition, healing, and creation. They may assist through their prayers, meditation, deep listening, or simply being present and bringing awareness and attentive witnessing to a situation.
A priestess brings the sacred into form by connecting to Divine energy in her creative pursuits such as dance, art, writing, music, theatre, ceremonies, rituals, and celebrations.
Deeply connected to her spirituality from the inside out, a priestess may also be a member of any religion or have connection to none. She may connect to the Divine in nature just as well as in any home, church, synagogue, or temple.

Daily Celestial Timings
Sep 01, Tuesday. The Aquarius Moon is visible approaching retrograde Jupiter (19 Aquarius 50) expanding and amplifying the experimental nature of this archetype that continually looks for new, cutting edge, unique and novel ways to grow and evolve. This year Aquarian themes have been playing out in the Celestial World (Neptune), the Middle World (Jupiter) and the Under World (Chiron). In The Shamanic Astrology Handbook Aquarius begins with a quote from Val Valerian speaking to the essential brilliance of this freedom oriented energy.
All life forms should have the right and the opportunity to have an existence, which is endowed with the freedom to produce the maximum amount of probable lines of reality, in an evolving direction by choice, without repression of awareness, or manipulation of physical, mental, or spiritual aspects.
This reminds us we have the right and responsibility to freely choose our own unique evolutionary path. The reality of our cultural set up, along with numerous limiting belief systems, seemingly restricts or even prohibits this right. The key is to not only realize we have the right but also the responsibility to express this freedom in healthy ways. Often drastic and unexpected events are necessary to shift our awareness and the assemblage point that organizes our life experience.
Sep 02, Wednesday. The Moon conjuncts retrograde Jupiter (19Aquarius 43) at 12:26 pm Pacific Time passing 2.9 degrees NNW of Jupiter about 159 degrees from the Sun in the evening sky. The Moon also passes by retrograde Chiron (22 Aquarius) around 6:30 pm and retrograde Neptune (24 Aquarius) at 10:26 pm Pacific Time. If you have planets or angles from 21 to 29 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Scorpio or Taurus you are on the leading edge of the intent of these energies. The center point of the conjunctions and retrograde stations of all these planets are near 27 degrees of Aquarius.
There are three exact conjunctions of Neptune and Jupiter this year. Two have already occurred. The first one was on May 27 (26 Aquarius), the second was July 9 (again at 26 Aquarius) and the third is near the Winter Solstice on Dec 21 (at 24 Aquarius). The May 27, 2009 Jupiter/Neptune Conjunction featured Chiron within a quarter degree. The second Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in July featured Chiron within a half a degree and the December Jupiter/Neptune conjunction features Chiron within 2 degrees. (See April 29.) Each month when the Moon comes by to activate these three there is an amplification of these energies being transmitted to Earth.
This triple alignment is recalibrating our relationship to the multi-dimensional aspects of time. This is being accomplished through the initiatory energies of the underworld planet Chiron assisting in healing the wounds of the past and accessing the visions of the future guided by the celestial world planet Neptune with the expansive energy of the middle world planet Jupiter bringing it altogether in the present. It is a process of collapsing past and future into the now similar to what Terrence McKenna described as the Timewave Zero theory.
This theory suggests that Time returns to a zero point, collapsing all the multiple possibilities into a singular moment or an Event Horizon where something beyond our ability to comprehend with a finite mind is possible. It seems that this triple alignment is helping to prepare humanity for a radical reality altering event. This is all part of the divine unfolding that is beyond anything we have previously known. Sep 03, Thursday. The fullest rise of the Moon is tonight after it moves into Pisces and Mercury (5 Libra) squares Mars (5 Cancer) just two days before Mercury stations retrograde on Sep 6. The Moon is rising about 30 minutes before the Sun sets. Tomorrow the Sun sets about 2 minutes after the Moon rises in Arizona. The rise and set times vary depending on your location and horizon line.
The Pisces nearly Full Moon transmits the qualities of compassion and a mystic connection with the divine. The transformational messenger Mercury (6 Libra) has the fiery heroic Mars (5 Cancer) energy to activate the messages of conscious equal partnership and healthy nurturing family within the light of the Full Moon of Pisces whose main question is, “How can I help and heal?” (See Sep 6, 7, 19, 20, 29)

The view in Shamanic Astrology is similar in that each archetypal energy is of equal value and validity. No one archetype is more or less important than any other. These energies are not the same but they are equal in value.
Sep 04, Friday. The Pisces Full Moon (12 Pisces15) is exact at 9:03 am Pacific Time rising just slightly south of due east very close to the time the Sun (in Virgo) is setting just slightly north of due west. When this might occur in your Time Zone depends upon your eastern and western horizon line and location on the planet. In Tucson, AZ the time for Moon rise is approximately 6:37 pm and for Sun set is approximately 6:39 pm.
Spending ceremonial time, in some intentional way, with the rising Full Moon and the setting Sun is an experience beyond description that connects us to the greater reality we often forget about in our daily lives. The Pisces Full Moon reminds us of the gift of compassion for ourselves and others. This kind of compassion doesn’t try to fix or change what IS but is simply holding safe, loving, accepting space so that whatever is ready to shift can do so without interference from judgment or resistance.
Sep 05, Saturday. The Moon conjuncts retrograde Uranus (25 Pisces) and then moves into Aries indicating an excellent time for exploring and experiencing new territory as the old forms are breaking down to create a break through to new forms that support the evolving progressive expressions of freedom within the overall cosmic order.
Sep 06, Sunday. Today my mother Merilyn Helen Judd Massey would have turned 76. She died a conscious ceremonial death in August of 1998. 11 years later I am still getting feedback that her story is inspiring.
Today Mercury (6 Libra 13) stations Retrograde at 9:45 pm Pacific Time focusing the 
incoming messages on the theme of conscious equal partnership. Conscious equal relationships with others are possible when we have a conscious equal relationship with all the parts of ourselves first. It is interesting to note that partnership implies parts. We are multi-faceted beings and if we aren’t conscious of all our parts we are not fully present to be in a conscious, equal relationship with others. If your outer relationships are not satisfying, look at your inner relationship with yourself. This is an especially potent time to do so as Mercury retraces its steps across the sky for the next 23 days until it stations direct on Sep 29 not returning to this station point until Oct 14.
These next few weeks are excellent for asking yourself what you are hoping or expecting to get from your external relationships? Expectations are tricky because we may not even be aware that we have them. Most of us are looking to our external relationships as a source for fulfillment and happiness unless we have done the inner work that shifts our focus to the source within us. And even then it is amazing how expectations can sneak back in when we aren’t paying attention. You are the only one who can access the source within you to ultimately give yourself what you desire including love, acceptance, forgiveness, acknowledgment and understanding. When you are coming from this understanding then your external relationships will reflect that to you. Sep 07, Monday. Happy Labor Day. Mercury Retrograde is a fascinating time. This is a highly artistic time and often challenging time for accomplishing left brain tasks. Mercury symbolizes the alchemical magic of the mind, how we process information, how we perceive our reality and how we communicate or creatively express who we are in the world. Mercury has left brain and right brain ways of operating and when it goes retrograde we find Mercury acts in a predominantly right brain fashion, opposite of our left brain consensus reality. It helps to take extra time in communicating with others as what we think we are saying is often not what the other person is hearing. It can be helpful to do reflective listening by repeating what you think you heard and asking the other person to repeat back to you what they heard, taking time to ensure communication is clear. It is also helpful to be clear on what you intend to communicate. If your intention is clear, your communication will reflect that clarity.
P.S. If you haven’t backed up your computer now is the time. I hear stories in almost every Mercury retrograde time about computer crashes and irretrievable files. Obviously this doesn’t happen to every one every time but it is still a good precaution especially if you don’t already do that on a regular basis. (See Sep 3, 6, 19, 20, 29)
Sep 08, Tuesday. The Moon moves into Taurus and the archetypal energy of enjoying and savoring the pleasure of the moment. This is rooted in patience and acceptance. Brian Weiss speaks of this in his book, Through Time into Healing;
Patience and timing…everything comes when it must come. A life cannot be rushed, cannot be worked on a schedule, as so many people want it to be. We must accept what comes to us at a given time, and not ask for more. But life is endless, so we never die; we were never really born. We just pass through different phases. There is no end. Humans have many dimensions. But time is not as we see time, but rather in lessons that are learned.
Sep 09, Wednesday. 09/09/09. Today we are passing through the last 999 time gate 
within the old paradigm reality of the Earth as explained by Simeon Chiron Nartoomid of Spirit Heart Sanctuary.
...Each 999 time gate is a centennial event occurring only once every 100 years. The sequence of 999 time gates was originally activated as a harmonic series by the Illumined 
Ones in 12391 B.C. using our current calendar as a reference. As of September 9th, 2009 we will have thus passed through 144 of these 999 time gates since their inception spanning 14,400 years of Earth time.
The 999 time gates are micro-bursts of higher dimensional cosmic energy that have that have been slowly but surely preparing us for total inversion of the 666 harmonics into the 999 harmonics as a collective consciousness. Read More
August 21, 2009 the nodes entered 29 degrees of Capricorn and Cancer as they return to this area of the sky every 18.6 years. The nodes will be in these signs for about 18 months until March 4, 2011, energizing the past and future destiny of humanity in the areas of home, family, and community. This means the South Node has been hanging out at the July 21/22 Total Solar Eclipse degree since August 21 and today moves back to 28 degrees hanging out within a degree of the eclipse for most of the rest of this month. The nodal transit through Capricorn and Cancer continues to inspire the question of how we will move forward in caring for and healing the Earth in ways that benefit the next several generations to follow?
The following table is for those who have North Node in Capricorn (South Node in Cancer). That means if your date of birth is located in one of the time frames on the table below you will begin your Nodal return sometime between August 21, 2009 and March 04, 2011 and it will last until you reach your Sun/Moon return. The Sun/Moon return occurs on the 19th, 38th, 57th, 66th, 75th or 84th birthday. For example, if you are 18 and beginning your Nodal Return it will last until your 19th birthday, if you are 55 and the Nodes have returned, this window lasts until your 57th birthday.
The Nodal Return is one of the most important Timings that occur on the Timeline of life as this is where magic can happen if we are aligned with our life purpose. Sep 10, Thursday. The Moon moves into Gemini expressing the mysteries of playful spontaneity and imagination. This energy reminds us of Peter Pan, the youthful genius that never wanted to grow up, or lose his sense of magic. The next two and half days are great for socializing, having fun and allowing our imaginations the freedom to run wild. After all our imagination is a primary tool for creating our reality!
Venus (18 Leo) opposes Jupiter (18 Aquarius) very near the fixed star Alterf marking the mouth of the Lion. This alignment is exact in the early morning hours tomorrow. As stated in the July Timings the translation of Alterf, according to Richard Hinkley Allen in Star Names, Their Lore and Meaning, is “’glance’ i.e. of the lion’s eye”. Modern star maps show this star in the Lion’s mouth. Venus near this star is gathering a deeper understanding about how to merge what she sees with what she says in ways that are genuine and heart centered.
Being willing to shine the light of love on everything we say and do is very much the essence of Leo. Alterf is in the sign of Leo and the constellation of the Lion drawing our attention to lion symbol. The Lion in the sky connects to the Lion like Sphinx in the Great Below considered to be the guardian of the Hall of Records. Lions are regarded as symbolic guardians of the doorways, or portals, to the treasures of knowledge and understanding that have been kept hidden. What is interesting to note is that the hidden Hall of Records is inside of us. It is inside our DNA. This means we have direct access to a greater knowing, also known as the Great Mystery, when we are willing to go within and listen.
Sep 11, Friday. The Gemini Last Quarter Moon (19 Gemini 18) is a time for synthesizing the current cycle and in Gemini it is a time to practice having fun through creative forms of play. There are no special rules about how to do this. It is a process of discovering what is most fun and inspiring for you and that may change from day to day.
It is interesting to note that on the 10th of June, 2002 there was a New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse at 19 Gemini 54. Now seven years later we revisit this degree at the last quarter Moon representing an integration of the energies that were initiated then. Something further to ponder is that on the 10th of December, 2011 there will be a Gemini Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse at 18 Gemini 11. The Full Moon eclipse in 2011 represents a further acceleration of the energies that were initiated back in 2002 and is occurring at the reverse node. In 2002 the North Node was at 17Gemini51 and in 2011 the South Node is at 14Gemini18 or half through its 18.6 year cycle. Noting the energies now and remembering what was occurring for you in 2002 are ways to track how these energies are manifesting for you. Are you having fun? If not what changes can you make that create more fun in your life?
Pluto stations direct at the Galactic Cross having deepened the investigation around the mysteries of death and rebirth, resurrection and renewal over these past few months. This direct station creates a pause to integrate the deepening of the past few months ultimately for the purpose of facilitating greater empowerment through the Shamanic Journey that calls us to face the fears that disempower us. When a planet stations (either direct or retrograde) there is often a feeling of chaos and confusion as the focus of energy shifts directions. Plus, we are still in the energy of the Mercury station retrograde so this is a time to be gentle and aware. The Scorpio/Pluto mysteries call us to surrender to divine will, aligning our personal will with divine will for the purpose of mastering the art of magic and manifestation in ways that benefit all life. Pluto requires surrender by whatever means necessary. The more willing we are to surrender the easier it is. P.S. Pluto brings our fears to our attention as evidenced in recent events around the world. In the United States the battle over health care reform is bringing up huge fear and misinformation. This is being fueled by the Insurance Companies and Drug Companies who are spending millions of dollars to promote fear in an effort to defeat any changes that might interfere with their profits.
This debate is forcing us to look at how we have given away our right to determine our own path of health and vitality. The reality is these decisions have long been in the hands of the these companies who are profiting off the ill-health of others. Being willing to look at these shadowed aspects and take responsibility for our choices will prove to be ultimately empowering even though right now it looks like a chaotic mess. The old system must die for a new healthier system to take its place.
Here is a crazy idea that comes from the old Chinese system that only paid doctors for healthy patients. Maybe it is time to think outside the box and move beyond the old model of healing the sick to a new model that rewards those in the health care industry for assisting people in being vital and healthy. This may not be practical in today's world but it is an intriguing thought...
Sep 12, Saturday. At 1:20 pm Pacific Time the waning last quarter out-of bounds Moon (nearly 26 degrees North declination) moves into Cancer crossing the Galactic Cross near the Galactic Edge reaching for new ways to do home and family that nurture and nourish the divine child within everyone.
Plus we are approaching the Saturn Uranus opposition both now at 24 degrees. Saturn (24 Virgo 50) and retrograde Uranus (24 Pisces 50) will be at opposition for the third time on Sept 15 (24 Pisces/Virgo 42). The first two oppositions were on Nov 4, 2008 election day in the USA and the second was February 5, 2009. This opposition breaks down the old matrix or form and sets into motion the fulfillment of the New Earth template through novel events that take us outside the box of ordinary reality. The more resistant to the changes we are the more dramatic and intense the process is. The more open and accepting we are the more liberating and freeing the process feels.
Note: There will be two more Saturn Uranus oppositions next year. The first one is April 27 at 28 Virgo/Pisces 46 and the second one is July 26, 2010 at 00 Aries/Libra 25. (See Sep 15)
Sep 13, Sunday. The Moon occults Mars in the Elder Wisdom phase of the current Mars cycle. This is accelerating the integration process of the current cycle including discovering how to actively self-nurture through self-care as the foundation that supports genuine nurturing and caring for others. This may also be an opportunity to further heal any unhealthy expressions of the masculine as it expresses through “Father”, including the absent, abusive, controlling, and/or angry Father. The imbalanced divine masculine has placed more
importance on domination, power, and control than on serving the needs of others with love and compassion. This is now shifting as we realize “the power of love is greater than the love of power.”
Forgiveness of Father and of ourselves facilitates deeper healing. Ultimately there is nothing that can be done to change what has already occurred. We cannot un-ring the bell once it has been rung. This is similar to the idea that an important aspect of forgiveness is to release all hope for a better past, for a better childhood, for a better outcome than what we got.
At the beginning of this Mars cycle in 2007 I suggested we had 26 months to work with this forgiveness principle. There are about four months left in this cycle before Mars begins a new cycle in Leo where the focus shifts to self-love. There is still time to purge any feelings of anger, hate, rage, frustration, fear, grief, regret, etc. through acceptance and awareness. Our awareness without judgment, or our awareness with acceptance, helps to dissolve these feelings naturally and this is a vital step in experiencing genuine forgiveness. Otherwise, we can “say” we have forgiven someone, but our bodies still hold the trauma. Self-forgiveness as well as forgiving others is an important key to self-love.
Sep 14, Monday. The Moon moves into Leo transmitting the mysteries of our radiant and shining divine essence also expressed as self-love, self-approval, self-confidence, and self-
acceptance. It is time to remember we are all aspects of the divine in physical form and in this remembrance we will once again experience a Golden Age. No one part of the creation can be any less than its creator. The only reason we experience it otherwise is because we have forgotten our oneness and come to believe we are separate.
Golden ages past are remembered through myths and stories in nearly every culture on our planet. We are now being called to again remember our divinity and yearn for a new Golden Age with peace and plenty for all. This is why we are here. This is what we have come to co-create at this Turning of the Ages through our willingness to envision it and feel it as our emerging reality.
Sep 15, Tuesday. Saturn is exactly opposite Uranus today. (See Sep 12) This is the time to reconnect with strong feelings of hope and inspiration. Much of the world experienced these feelings at the first Saturn Uranus opposition on November 4, 2008 when Barack Obama was elected. Everything not in alignment with the wave of inspired energy that spread across the planet then is up to be transformed now and those changes are meeting the resistance of the old forms represented by Saturn.
It is well known that Saturn is slow to change and that Uranus loves change, often acting as if change is not happening fast enough. So when Saturn and Uranus face off it is certain changes are coming, but it takes time in the world of form for those changes to be evident especially while the old forms are disintegrating. Uranus breaks up the crystallization of the old forms so that new evolutionary growth can occur. Wisely Saturn does not operate through rash and sudden change but rather takes time to gestate. A new matrix was set last November and is in the gestation process so it can birth into a lasting sustainable form that benefits the Earth and all that live here. (See Sep 12 and 17)
Venus (25 Leo) is opposite retrograde Neptune (25 Aquarius) energizing experiences producing great magic and feelings of great love. Romance writer Nora Roberts says, “Love and magic have a great deal in common. They enrich the soul, delight the heart. And they both take practice.”
Venus is often considered the Goddess of Love. Neptune is the ocean of love and the merging or mystical union with the divine beloved as described by the Sufi poet Rumi.

Sep 16, Wednesday. The Moon conjuncts Venus (25 Leo) and then moves into Virgo. In the early morning hours of the 15th of September, 2001 Venus moved through this exact Venus gate at (23 Leo). Eight years later Venus has returned to the same position in the sky with the Sun and Moon. This marks the passage of Venus through the sixth gate into the
underworld connected to the second chakra. In some versions of the Sumerian telling or story of Inanna this is where she surrenders her jeweled anklets symbolizing her ego as she passes through the Gate of Creativity. The second chakra (or sacral chakra) is also known as the sex and money chakra relating to life force, self- worth and taking care of ourselves.
This Venus gate is about surrendering all the ways the divine feminine no longer values herself, all the ways she doesn’t take care of herself, all the ways she has forgotten to receive the blessings and abundance that life has to offer, and all the ways she judges herself and others. Releasing these distortions frees up any restricted flow of life force (including sexual energy). When sensual life force energy is free to move it helps connect us with our emotions, desires, intimacy, and pleasure. When this energy moves freely through us everything we need is attracted to our healthy flow of energy.
Physically the 2nd chakra is located below the navel and is associated with lower back, sacrum, circulation, sexual organs, and all related processes that have to do with the flow of fluids through the body. This is the chakra connected to the feeling realms and our willingness to feel what we feel in the entire range of feelings from grief and pain to ecstasy and delight. This is most easily accomplished when we release our resistance to whatever is happening within our life. Grieving losses, embracing hurts along with whatever fury may be associated with those hurts, and giving our bodies the opportunity to rage (kicking and screaming in a safe way) or wail and cry into pillow if necessary helps to move these feeling through the body. Movement, exercise, dance, and yoga are other ways to assist in moving not only the grief, but many other forms of pain as well, freeing us to connect with greater joy.
This is a time for noting and releasing any lingering control issues, any forms of self-denial, self-rejection, self-judgment and self-deprivation that are holding you back from experiencing healthy forms of pleasure, spontaneity, sexuality, intimacy, and joy. Working with the color orange including orange stones such as carnelian and orange calcite, fire opal, and orange jasper, as well as orange clothes, orange food, orange plants and essential oils can assist in releasing the distortion around this chakra.
One way to feed your second chakra is to get some raw honey (you might have to go to a Health Food Store if you don’t have a local source) and combine that with cinnamon. You can put it in tea, spread it on toast or dip apple slices into it. There has been information floating around on email for some time claiming that this combination is a cure all. I don’t know about that claim, but I do know it is a sweet treat and that both cinnamon and raw honey when taken with ceremonial intent can add to the power of the ceremony.

Sep 17, Thursday. The Sun is opposite retrograde Uranus (25 Pisces) and the Sun and Saturn (25 Virgo) are conjunct illuminating the Saturn Uranus opposition. This further infuses the new matrix or form of Saturn with the light of Uranian changes inspired from the Celestial Realms of the cosmic visionary. This is not a time to continue with business as usual but rather to note what is shifting and evolving and requiring us to show up in new innovative and creative ways. (See Sep 12 and 15)
Retrograde Mercury squares Pluto (0 Capricorn 40) for the second time as Mercury returns to Virgo. (See Sep 29) Pluto is the transformer, the alchemist and the God of Wealth. Mercury is bringing us messages about the hidden treasures or talents and abilities we may have forgotten or are afraid to use. This is a time to note if you have any resistance to discovering these buried treasures, or talents, and expressing them. If so then the question is how can you release the fear, trauma, and doubt that prevents these abilities from expressing in healthy ways?
The Moon conjuncts Saturn (15 Virgo) visible beyond Saturn tonight. Saturn is the master architect of this world of form administering to the past, present and future codes or seeds of what has been, what is, and what is becoming. Saturn in Virgo is now being illuminated and amplified by the Moon reminding us of the importance of the pattern of life as it weaves from the past into the present becoming the weaving that inspires and creates our future (See Sep 18).
Saturn was known as Chronos (Father Time) to the Greeks who were highly interested in the 
mysteries of Time and in particular the mysteries of Eternity. Saturn in Virgo also then applies to the pattern of time and our current experience of how Time is accelerating with each passing day as we approach the “Timewave Zero” or “Zero Point” of Time that Terrence McKenna felt would culminate with the heliacal rise of the Nuclear Bulge/Galactic Center on the December Solstice 2012. The Virgo New Moon (26 Virgo) with Saturn (25 Virgo) and retrograde Mercury (28 Virgo) is especially energized for bringing in new messages and new forms of the sacred patterning of life. This is powerful invocation that comes from Mary keeper of the Hovenweep Medicine Wheel as described in Drunvalo Melchizedek’s book Serpent of Light Beyond 2012 The Movement of the Earth’s Kundalini and the Rise of the Female Light, 1949 to 2013. For those who feel resonance with this invocation this New Moon is a great time to speak it with intention.

Sep 19, Saturday. The waxing crescent Moon moved into Libra late last night or early this morning still carrying the Virgo seeding energy of the New Moon. This brings to our awareness the new patterns of conscious, equal relationships that we are co-creating. This means the co-creation does NOT come from trying to control or manipulate the other into conforming to our way or how we think they should behave in relationship. When co-creating an equal partnership there is mutual respect and trust that each person is acting in ways that are supportive to the creation of a mutually beneficial and supportive relationship experience. Sep 20, Sunday. The Moon is passing 3 degrees SSW of Spica (marking the hand of the Virgin Priestess) visible near the western horizon after sunset. Spica is one of four stars located closest to the ecliptic and is therefore eclipsed or occulted in a cyclical pattern by the Moon. The Moon is currently passing to the south of Spica, although some resources say the last Spica occultation took place on January 11 and February 8 in 2007. Based on the path of the Moon in its 19-year cycle, the next series of monthly Spica occultations will begin on July 25, 2012, and end on December 27, 2013. The Sun conjuncts Mercury (27 Virgo) and Venus moves into Virgo and trines Pluto (0Capricorn41) emphasizing the importance of working with the patterning of life and the new messages coming in now. All life expresses through uniquely individual encoded patterns that fit into, or are integrated into, the overall pattern. Everything is linked with a pattern. There are the patterns of the seasons, the phases of the Moon, of birth, of growth, of death, and the individual pattern we each carry. There are times when our journey is about honoring our own special pattern and how it is a part of the larger pattern. When we acknowledge our place in the web of life with genuine heart-felt gratitude, the evolving pattern is strengthened in greater wholeness. One way to acknowledge how we are a part of the weaving of a new pattern is through the New Moon invocation of Sept 18. Sep 21, Monday. The Moon moved into Scorpio late last night as we enter the Equinox window and is transmitting the mysteries of passionate aliveness through the willingness to live on the edges and beyond. These past months have been stretching our known edges into new territory helping to facilitate ongoing radical transformation from the inside out. This is a literal transformational process where we are required to die to our old selves in the same way the caterpillar is transformed into the butterfly.
Sep 22, Tuesday. The exact Equinox is at 2:19 pm Pacific Time. The Equinoxes are the seasonal time of balance and harmony when the days and nights are equal in length. During the Equinoxes, the Earth’s auric or magnetic field is affected by the Sun’s alignment with the Earth’s equator. Twice each year, at the Equinoxes, the Sun rises and sets precisely over the equator, tracking exactly due east and due west, no matter where you are on the Planet. 
Doorways or thresholds into the mysteries are more easily accessed during Equinoxes, especially when we consciously engage this Timing. Equinoxes are a powerful time for doing ceremonial activations at sacred sites or anywhere you happen to be. (Chichen Itza image)
The Zero Libra point marking the Autumnal Equinox is currently aligned with the North Galactic Pole. The North Galactic Pole lies 90 degrees north of the Galactic Plane in the constellation of Coma Berenices. It is only one time period in 26,000 years (for about 144 years) that the Sun rises in this area of the sky at the September Equinox.
Astronomers consider the North Galactic Pole to be one of the best for studying other galaxies, because the conditions here are favorable for seeing beyond our galaxy. When the Solar Gates (in this case Equinoxes) align with the galactic poles an intergalactic doorway is opened. This Timing allows for easier access to the intergalactic energy codes coming in through this doorway via the Sun. Retrograde Mercury conjuncts Saturn (25 Virgo) for the second time since last month. The first conjunction happened on August 17 and the last pass will happen on October 7. Mercury moves fast often speeding through a sign in as little as 15 days however because Mercury is retrograde it is staying in the same area of the sky for almost three months. Saturn on the other takes to two to two and half years to pass through a sign.
Saturn represents matter and Mercury represents the mind. Under Saturn’s guidance it takes time to create and build things that are sustainable in the world of form. For example human babies require nine months to gestate and many years to reach a level of maturity where they can take care of themselves. In the world or form we encounter growth through limitations and boundaries and the time it takes to mature.
The mind, our thought processes are not subject to the same limits. We can instantly envision ourselves in other locations like sitting on the Moon. So our mind as represented by Mercury can instantly envision a New World or Golden Age and Saturn helps to bring it into form though Saturn requires certain actions be performed for the results to be visible and lasting in this world. With Saturn and Mercury conjunct each other near the Sun (or source of life) it is time to vision the new forms as they are being sourced into this reality through the life giving energy of the Sun.
Sep 23, Wednesday. The Moon moves into Sagittarius transmitting the mysteries of the ever expanding quest for truth and meaning. Our quest evolves and expands as we evolve and expand and the truth as we know it evolves as well expanding into new experiences of the truth that define a new reality and a new sense of meaning. With Mercury also opposite Uranus unexpected and unusual messages are possible that inspire our understanding of the sacred nature of life and evolution.
Still within the potency of the Equinox that was exact yesterday the Sun is reaching its last quarter square to Pluto (O Capricorn 42) indicating that Pluto is gaining momentum in its forward movement. This suggests that whatever has been seeded for the New Earth is rising like a Phoenix out of the ashes of the old structure. This may take many more years to come to fruition depending upon how resistant collective humanity is to the changes needed to move forward into the New Earth reality.
Today marks another Occultation of the Moon over Antares. As noted in previous months this year - 2009 – the Moon has already occulted Antares on Jan 21, Feb 17, Mar 17, Apr 13, May 10, June 7, July 4, July 31, and Aug 27. There are three Moon Occultations over Antares left this year after today. They are on Oct 21, Nov 17, and Dec 15. This means 2009 has 13 occultations of the Moon over Antares. This is due to the southern declination of the Moon near 26 degrees almost three degrees beyond the 23.5 degree boundary of the southern declination of the Sun. Sep 24, Thursday. The Moon is in late degrees Sagittarius visible tonight above the tail of the Scorpion and about to pass over the Galactic Center. Tomorrow the Moon enters Capricorn crossing the Winter Solstice marker and reaching its first quarter at 9:50 pm PDT tomorrow night. Noting where the Moon is tonight and tomorrow night helps us to visually tune into this area of the sky where the seeding energies from the Great Above for the New Cycle are pouring in from the great Galactic Gateway.
Sep 25, Friday. The First Quarter Moon (3 Capricorn) conjuncts Pluto accelerating the energy of this monthly transmission further illuminating the incoming vibrational energies from this central galactic portal. There are three days each month when the Moon is transmitting directly from the Galactic Core providing us with easier access to the Codes and Energies beaming in from this area of the sky. Consciously engaging the accelerating energy of the first quarter Moon further opens and activates our ability to be conduits in anchoring these energies in the Earth plane. It is possible that this three-day window (yesterday, today and tomorrow) is intensifying any lingering issues we may still be in the process of releasing. Sep 27, Sunday. This entire month Neptune has been hanging out at 24 Aquarius moving back to 23 degrees next month. This means Neptune is located in the area of the sky connected to the fixed star Deneb Algeidi in the tale of the Goatfish also referred to as Capricorn (remember the constellations and the signs are not the same thing.) The Goat Fish or Sea Goat is a magical mystical imagery creature linked with Ea the chief god of the Mesopotamian city of Eridu*. Ea was god of the waters, with great oracular powers and consulted by the gods as Lord of the Sacred Eye. [A scanned copy can be viewed on this webpage]
Ea was often depicted as a Goat with a fish tail. The tail of the fish symbolizes balanced movement and the ability to be in the flow or current of life. Neptune of course symbolizes the vast oceans and watery realms where we connect with our visions and dreams. The visionary intuitive abilities of Neptune are now contacting the oracular power of this star for all of September and October. Sep 28, Monday. The Moon moves into Aquarius transmitting the mysteries of multi-dimensional realities beyond the limits of this 3rd-dimensional space/time experience. The pure essence of the Aquarian mysteries are best experienced in a state of pure awareness. This is a place beyond the dimensions of time and space, a place of Timelessness where thoughts become an instant reality. It has been called the 5th dimension or the dimension beyond time. Time is the dimension Einstein referred to as the 4th dimension. When we learn to use telepathic abilities it moves us beyond the confines of Time as thought travels instantly through the dimensions. As we develop greater telepathic ability our relationship to Time will change and eventually cease to exist as the entire Earth and all who live here will find their conscious reality is elevated to a new dimension beyond time.
In that sense the Mayan’s may have been onto something with their calendars ending
sometime in the near future. The Mayan Elders have said they do not know when the calendar actually ends because so many of their sacred documents were burned by the Spanish. So the Mayan elders do not necessarily support the end of their calendar coinciding with the December Solstice 2012 end of time. However, we do know that the way we experience our time and place here on this Earth is rapidly changing. Perhaps what is really happening is the planet Earth is moving to a new dimension that exists beyond Time. Therefore, in that sense the calendars of Time as we know them do end, because they will no longer apply.
Sep 29, Tuesday. Mercury (21 Virgo 37) stations direct at 6:24 am Pacific Time. Mercury remains within the degrees of the retrograde until October 14 when it passes 6 Libra 13 the degree of its retrograde station on Sep 6. The Mercury station is a magical portal (still 
point) where the transformational messenger bridges this world with non-ordinary worlds. This is an infinity point where sacred knowledge is more easily accessed through intention for the next few days. Mercury remains in Virgo until October 10 accessing these mysteries held in safe keeping and passed down through the ages by the hierophants, who are the keepers of sacred knowledge and wisdom.
The Heirophants are the keepers of the hierophanies or the manifestations and revelations of the sacred world including constructed sacred sites with astronomical alignments. Something worth noting as you tune into this Mercury station is that Mercury is also known as Thoth/Hermes Trismegistus the progenitor of the Emerald Tablets and connected with the Hall of Records. Trismegistus means thrice blessed, or thrice great, or thrice wise. It also refers to the triple hero and to the power of three as described

Also today the Moon passes 2.8 degrees NNW of retrograde Jupiter about 130 degrees from the Sun in the evening sky. This is the second conjunction of the Moon with Jupiter this month. (see Sep 2 and 30)
Sep 30, Wednesday. The Moon conjuncts Chiron (21 Aquarius) and Neptune (24 Aquarius) in the early morning hours after having passed by Jupiter yesterday. Once again the Moon is amplifying these planetary energies from the initiatory realms of the Upper or Celestial World and the Lower or Under World furthering our opportunities to heal the wounds of the past (Chiron) so we can more fully live the ideal visions (Neptune) of Heaven on Earth (Jupiter).
This calls to our attention the blessings of the celestial that come through Grace meaning this is not something we can earn or win by what we do. The ways of Grace are unfathomable in the middle world and transcend what we know of as the laws of karma. The middle world looks at karma as either the limiting patterns we repeat over and over with similar results or “as you sow so shall you reap.” Grace transcends all of that and restores us to our divine birth right. It is possible to be so limited and stuck in our world view we can miss the blessings of grace that are being bestowed upon us. We are not forced to accept the gift of grace, we always have a choice. Acceptance is natural when we practice daily gratitude.

- Sun reaches the Equinox on September 22 at 2:19 pm Pacific Time.
- Mercury stations retrograde on Sep 6 and stations direct Sep 29.
- Venus rose before the Sun on April 3 and began a new 584 day cycle. This is important for anyone born in an 8 year (8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 72. 80, 88, 94, 102 etc) between April 3, 2009 and Nov 4, 2010 as this marks your personal 8 year Venus return. Venus rises nearly 3 hours before the Sun as the month begins and about 2 hours before the Sun by the end of Sep. - Mars is still visible in the morning sky and is joined by the Moon on Sep 13.
Jupiter moved into Aquarius on January 5 and reached opposition to the Sun on August 14 so is still visible most of the night. - Jupiter (retrograde stationing direct Oct 12/13 depending on your time zone) is still magnificently bright in the evening sky as it is moving beyond opposition to the Sun that occurred on August 14.
- Saturn conjuncts the Sun on Sep 20. Saturn stationed direct on May 16 about 15 degrees away from Regulus in the constellation of the Lion. Saturn will cross the Sep Equinox point next month visible near the tail of the Lion and the head of the Virgin Priestess.
- Moon begins this month in Aquarius moving through all the signs and ending the month in Pisces. See the Daily Timings for more Moon occurrences this month including the visible and non-visible conjunctions with other planets and the occultations over the Pleiades and Antares.

Night Sky (Images for Summer Triangle)
Still prominent in the sky is the Summer Triangle formed by Deneb (the tail of the Cygnus the Swan or Northern Cross) and Altair (the eye of the Eagle known as Aquila) and Vega (in the constellation of Lyra and the pole star 13,000 years ago). Cygnus the Swan has a long body with wings outstretched appearing much like a swan in flight, flying toward the Milky Way. Sometimes this constellation is referred to as the Northern Cross and looks very much like a cross in the sky. Aquila, the Eagle is flying toward Cygnus though slightly to the side so they do not look like they will bump into each other but pass by one another. Delphinus the Dolphin is just above and to the East of Altair looking south and further east of there is the Great Square of Pegasus.
Looking below the summer Triangle and slightly east is Jupiter in the tail of the Goatfish. To see this constellation you need a dark sky. The Goatfish is a triangular V that looks a lot like a boomerang. The Moon lights up this area of the sky on Sep 2, 3, 29, and 30.
