October 2006 Celestial Timings
by Cayelin K Castell

Love is a powerful force. If we do not now how to handle its power, we slip very quickly into its powerfully painful distortions, such as conflict and co-dependence. But know this: It is resistance to love that causes the problems. There is nothing wrong with love. Love is a force that focuses its light on the deepest shadowy parts of ourselves that we desperately try to keep hidden. When these parts of ourselves emerge we often retreat, blaming love and those who have loved us…

…We hope that you will use your relationships to fulfill undreamed-of potential in yourself. It will help if you commit yourself completely to this process now at the beginning. The most creative and evolved people we know are those who use every situation as an opportunity to learn about themselves. Openness to learning is a hallmark of evolution. It makes learning and acknowledging even the most soul-shaking facts about yourself easier and more fun. With a strong commitment to inquiring into yourself, the universe does not have to use catastrophes to wake you up.

~ Conscious Loving The Journey to Co-commitment by Gay and Kathleen Hendricks. http://www.hendricks.com/default.asp

This month features the sacred union of Mars and Venus joining together within less than10 degrees this entire month, and making their exact conjunction on Oct 24. This joining of Venus and Mars is also occurring near the Sun. Sun and Mars are exactly conjunct on Oct 22 and Sun and Venus are exactly conjunct on Oct 27. In this case the Sun is illuminating the shadow or denied aspects of our inner feminine and inner masculine sacred relationship often noticeably reflected in our external relationships.

A primary theme this month is centered around how to fully engage conscious loving equal partnership and relationship with ourselves and with each other. This involves being willing to engage what we have denied in ourselves, noting what is being reflected or mirrored to us in our outer world. If we have judgment towards self or others, if we are working to control outcomes, or repressing feelings, or a myriad of other things that diminishes our ability to love ourselves and to love life, then it is time to make a commitment to truly loving ourselves and to genuine personal growth and well-being. One way to begin is by asking what we need to release and what we need to embrace to create a more loving, fun, joyful life experience? It might also help to read the book listed in the opening quote on Conscious Loving.

Oct 1, Sunday. This month begins with the waxing Moon moving into revolutionary Aquarius assisting us in thinking outside the box of conventional reality. October also begins with four planets in Libra including transformational messenger Mercury (29 Libra) sacred masculine Mars (16 Libra) illuminator Sun (9 Libra) and sacred feminine Venus (0 Libra) all calling our attention to the mysteries of conscious, loving, co-committed relationship with ourselves and each other. Archetypally, healthy Libra is committed to expressing a balance of peace and harmony in all relationships beginning with the most important relationship – the one we have with our self.

Although it is often challenging to remember or even grasp, every single person or situation we encounter provides us with a reflection or mirror of how well we are relating to our self and to our life. If we truly understood this, then wars would end because we would know that the war outside of us is reflecting the war inside us. This means that until we know peace within ourselves we won’t experience peace outside ourselves.

Healthy relationship with our selves occurs when we can genuinely accept what IS and stop trying to force others to be the way we think they should be. If we have felt wronged or hurt by another the solution or resolution is not outside of us. This is tricky because it is so much easier to see what is outside as the cause or what is to blame. Whenever we are in the space of blame or feeling wronged we have an opportunity to heal something within ourselves through radical compassion and forgiveness beginning with first ourselves and then the situation and all those involved. This shifts our experience bringing the ability and responsibility to change our experience back to our willingness to forgive ourselves and each other - trusting that by doing so we will then attract experiences into our life that reflect the healing power of self-forgiveness, self-love, forgiveness of others and the situations that have wounded or harmed us or those we love.

This theme is active this month especially as we approach the Libra New Moon on October 21 providing us with a powerful time for seeding whole new ways of engaging partnership and relationship with each other and ourselves through radical compassion and forgiveness.

Oct 2, Monday. Late last night or early this morning (depending on your time zone) Mercury entered Scorpio where it remains until Dec 7 due to the Mercury retrograde beginning Oct 28 when Mercury retrogrades at 25 Scorpio in close conjunction with Jupiter (Jupiter and Mercury are exactly conjunct on Oct 22 and again on October 30). Mercury is the messenger and in Scorpio the messages are revealed through passionate powerful transformative experiences. Jupiter expands this suggesting that we are now more than ever ready to walk the edges of a whole new reality where we are expressing the power of who we are. This is NOT power over others but to fully and passionately live our essential essence connecting to the source of infinite power that is within us all.

Oct 3, Tuesday. The waxing Aquarius Moon conjuncts Neptune before moving into Pisces and over the next few days Mars (17 Libra) trines retrograde Neptune (17 Aquarius) exact tomorrow. Neptune connects to the infinite source of all possibilities before creation comes into manifest form and is most easily accessed through our imagination. The Moon is a transmitter while Mars activates suggesting this is a time to actively connect with this source through our imagination with the intent to draw into form all that is needed to fulfill our soul’s purpose.

The Law Of Pure Potentiality
The source of all creation is pure consciousness…
pure potentiality seeking expression
from the unmanifest to the manifest.

And when we realize that our true Self
is one of pure potentiality, we align with the power
that manifests everything in the universe.

When we actively connect and vibrate in harmony with this power we begin to consciously attract into our life the people, places and things that align with the manifestation of our soul’s purpose. Focusing our thoughts and feelings on lack brings more lack, focusing our thoughts and feelings on gratitude, for all the abundance and gifts we already have, attracts more to us even if we can only do this for a few minutes each day. As suggested in recent Celestial Timings it is helpful to create a gratitude list when you are really feeling gratitude and to keep adding to that list as you notice more and more things to be grateful for each day. It also helps to include things you are grateful for that you haven’t received yet. Then even when you are having trouble feeling gratitude if you take time to read the list it can help remind you of what you are already grateful for and what you are imaging you are grateful for as well. This simple practice helps to keep our vibration and imagination focused on what we are desiring to manifest in our lives and is a powerful tool for manifesting experiences in greater alignment with what we are consciously choosing. It helps to remember that whatever is not in alignment with what we are choosing will come up for clearing and that often means we find ourselves either choosing or being forced to let go of people, places and things that no longer serve our soul’s purpose.

Oct 4, Wednesday. The Moon is occulting Uranus (11 Pisces) visible with binoculars and telescope in most of Australia and part of New Guinea. This accelerates the incoming energies of radical compassion as demonstrated by the archetypal energy of the Divine Mother. One of her more well known incarnations is Kwan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion. She reminds us to be aware of our thoughts and emotions, and how we are creating our reality with them. Kwan Yin does not interfere with what we are choosing to create however she does hold the place of radical compassion by maintaining a loving space for us to choose to remember the strength and power of our true divine essence. It is up to us to choose to receive this love and compassion that is always there for us when we are ready to accept it.

Oct 5, Thursday. The waxing Moon moves into Aries (where it remains until late on Oct 7 or early on Oct 8 depending on your time zone) opening the Aries Full Moon Window. This energy is encouraging us to take inspired decisive action to live our passion and commitment to our soul’s purpose. If you don’t know what your passion or purpose is then committing to action that will help you find your purpose is your next step. One way to start is by exploring what interests you and seeing where that leads.

Oct 6, Friday. The Aries Full Moon (14 Aries) has the potential to bring to fruition some element of what we are committed to manifesting in our lives especially when we are taking responsibility for our actions and are conscious of what motivates them. If we are motivated by an addiction to perform and produce heroic results by cultural standards then our actions may not be in alignment with our true life purpose. Based on the current myths and stories portrayed in fairy tales, movies and television we are being strongly programmed with a vision of the Hero who has it all together all the time and can save the world from disaster. Releasing the need to be the hero doesn’t mean we stop accomplishing amazing things in the world. What it means is we refocus our energy - letting go of the addicted hero role and allowing ourselves to live in greater alignment with our soul’s intent. This Recovering Hero Proclamation was first introduced in the Celestial Timings in January of 2004 and remains a favorite for all who are choosing to reprogram any addicted Hero tendencies.

The Recovering Hero Proclamation
I have no need to save others.
I have no need to rescue others.
I have no need to outshine anyone.
I have no need to out-think, out-perform, out-produce anyone – including myself.
I do not need to know anything.
I do not need to be an expert.
I do not need to fix anyone, or change anything.
I do not need to dazzle, impress or inspire anyone.
I do not need to be the hero of my own story.
In truth, I am organic, evolving, and fallible.
I allow things to unfold naturally, and I trust the flow.
I joyfully accept and experience my humanity.
I need nothing.
All already is.
Blessed be.
Aaliyah Livingwell a.k.a. Gina Gavaris www.GeneratingSolutions.org.

Oct 7, Saturday. Still within the Aries Full Moon window of radically inspired and decisive action this is a good day to do something for no other reason than it is fun to do. Aries is inspired by action especially when it is fun!

Oct 8, Sunday. Moon moved into Taurus either late last night or early this morning depending on your time zone. Taurus focuses on the mysteries of sensuality, beauty, intimacy, the art of receivership and the mysteries of sacred pleasure as a creative, orgasmic, artistic expression. This is a great time to relax, slow down, and remember the art of receiving, savoring and enjoying each moment with gratitude for all the abundant gifts and beauty life has to offer even in these intense times of transformation. Breathe, relax, enjoy and give thanks for all the gifts you already have, starting with the gift of life.

Oct 9, Monday. Tonight the waxing Moon is crossing into the Sacred Hoop traveling through this region of the sky until late evening Friday the 13th. The Moon will pass by the Pleiades one of the most noted star groups in the night sky. Richard Allen’s book, Star Names Their Lore and Meaning references the Pleiades connection to the great Egyptian Goddess Neith, known to the Greeks as Athene, and to the Romans as Minerva. Many ancient temples in Egypt and Greece were oriented to their rising including the Parthenon and Hecatompedon or their setting including Bacchus in Athens and Ascelpieion at Epidaurus.

The Mayans built the great pyramid Kukulkan at Chichen Itza to track the cycle of the Pleiades as it relates to the Sun signaling when the Pleiadian stargate would begin opening. Due to its latitude, Kulkulkan twice each year experiences the Sun reaching the zenith or a position directly over the pyramid (something that can only happen at that latitude), meaning no shadows are cast at that time. This happens around May 19-21 and Nov 19-21. The Mayans knew that approximately every 26,000 years the Pleiades (a.k.a.Tzab or rattle of the snake) would be again aligned with the Sun when it reached its Zenith. The Sun conjunct the Pleiades at the zenith happens in May. In November the Sun reaches the zenith but the Pleiades are opposite the Sun, meaning the Pleiades reaches their culmination at the zenith near mid-night. In both cases this places the rattle of the snake, or the Pleiades, directly over the pyramid symbolizing a star gate opening and a 26,000-year turning of the ages. That time is now.

Observing the Moon near the Pleiades can assist us in getting our own download of information about what this means to us personally. Noting feelings and insights can help with your personal investigation to what the Pleiades (or any other stars or constellations you are tuning in to) are activating for you now.

Oct 10, Tuesday. Sun (17 Libra) trines retrograde Neptune (17 Aquarius), Mercury (11 Scorpio) trines retrograde Uranus (11 Pisces) suggesting this is a powerful time for focused meditation in receiving radical insights and visions on what is seeking change in our reality and how we can then assist that change through our choices and actions. Whenever an outer planet trines the Sun it means the planet has either just gone retrograde or is just about to go direct and is nearly stopped in the sky and it just so happens Neptune stations direct on October 29. This means we are in the Still Point window of the Neptune cycle suggesting the importance of following our intuitive guidance over our logic and reason if they differ at this time. Neptune operates in the Celestial Realms beyond the ordinary experience of logical and rational reality, where true miracles and magic occur when we let go and really trust our inner guidance no matter how illogical it may seem.

Oct 11, Wednesday. Tonight marks the most northern rising and setting extreme of the waning Gemini Moon for Northern Hemisphere and southern rising and setting extreme for Southern Hemisphere happening today in this Lunar Standstill window. Mercury sets about an hour after the Sun and Jupiter sets about 90 minutes after the Sun tonight. The Moon rises about three hours after Sunset at its Northern Extreme.

Once each month for all of 2006 and 2007 the ‘out of bounds’ Moon accesses and transmits energies from beyond our galactic realm indicating we are receiving a whole new download of inter-galactic information and vibrational frequency beyond the bounds of our current life experience. This vibrational shift has been in process for many years and is now being magnified in this 19-year lunar standstill window.

It is easier to assimilate these energies when we consciously focus our thoughts and actions on what we are choosing to create without attachment to the outcome. If we allow for the possibility that everything is perfect just the way it IS in every moment then we are engaging the flow of life rather than resisting it.

This Timing pushes us to the edge of our galactic reality in ways that are perfectly orchestrated for continued release and expansion into a whole new way of experiencing life even if at times it seems overwhelmingly intense. Jupiter and Mercury lead the way reminding us to let go of attachments and beliefs that hold us in a limited form of experience.

Oct 12, Thursday. The Moon moves into Cancer crossing the exact Galactic Edge (where the June Solstice is currently located in space) early this morning and Mars (23 Libra near the fixed star Spica) sextiles Saturn (23 Leo). Attuning to the Cancer mysteries this is a great time to notice how well we are doing with personal self-care and paying attention to our inner needs. This is a time that may benefit from reflecting on our feelings and what we really want and need – as opposed to thinking our way through it. In a world that seems to base value and worth on how much we produce it is easy to forget that our greatest value comes from that fact that we exist and that is more than enough. In fact, it is perfect and we are perfect when we are not comparing ourselves to some external and often impossible standard.

This Mars Saturn connection helps to formulate new ways to value who we truly are. Spica is a blue star located in the Hand of the Virgin Priestess often seen as an ear of wheat or corn. This is a symbol that reminds us that as we sew so shall we reap. When we sew the seeds of self-love and forgiveness then we are growing into a greater conscious experience of our divine essence.

Oct 13, Friday. This is the Last Quarter Moon in Cancer (21 Cancer) with Venus trine Neptune occurring on the infamous Friday the 13th. Friday is the day the week named after Venus in her Norse Goddess incarnation Freya. In ancient times, this was a day earth-based cultures honored the Goddess staying home from normal work routines to celebrate her various expressions of love. Interestingly because the way our months are set up, the 13th falls on Friday slightly more often than any other day of the week.

The historic shift of feeling around Friday the 13th had help from Christian interests who were not keen on this pagan celebration. Friday the 13th slowly began to have unlucky connotations fueled by tragic events such as the arrests that later led to the torture and death of many of the Knights Templar on Friday Oct 13, 1307.

In this time of the Moon near the Galactic Edge in the Lunar Standstill window we have an opportunity to revision Friday the 13th as a day of joyous honoring of the divine feminine in new, innovative ways that genuinely work for us now.

Oct 14, Saturday. The Moon is moving into Leo today where it remains until Oct 16. Leo shows up as radiant, brilliant, shining and charismatic when it is in its strength and power. It is our divine heritage to know and express our divinity with certainty and strength.

In the Journey to Xtlan by Carlos Castaneda, Don Juan states, “We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.”

The Leo Moon transmits the Leo mysteries inviting us to celebrate our divine essence, knowing the amount of work to remain forgetful, and to be less than our radiant and shining selves is the same amount of work as it is to fully radiantly alive and expressing our divinity and in fact it may be even more work to be in denial of the divine blessings our divine expression naturally attracts.

Oct 15, Sunday. Mars (24 Libra) sextiles Pluto (25 Sag) and Mercury (17 Scorpio) squares retrograde Neptune (17 Aquarius). Healthy Mars in Libra acts from conscious loving relationship and when linked with Pluto dives deep to bring forth greater power and strength in this intent. Mercury in Scorpio’s message is to be aware of the power of our dreams and visions without attachment to the outcome knowing the universe has the power to manifest even greater things than we have ever imagined. With an open heart and an open mind we have the power to manifest new visions and dreams outside the constructs of what we consider is ordinary reality.

Oct 16, Monday. The waning Moon is conjunct Saturn (23 Leo) in the morning sky, and the Sun (23 Libra) is sextile Saturn (23 Leo) while the Moon moves into Virgo. The monthly Moon Saturn conjunction transmits new forms of radiant, healthy, creative, radical self-love especially if we are actively practicing self-forgiveness. If we are not truly loving ourselves now is the time to look at the structures of our lives including our belief systems and begin to actively change them in ways that help facilitate a growing conscious experience of our divine essence. The Sun sextiling Saturn indicates we have full forward movement on this process.

The Moon is traveling through Virgo energizing the archetype that knows the patterning of the manifest world and knows how to co-creatively engage the weaving of reality into harmony and balance so that all life is nourished, supported and honored as sacred.

Looking at all these influences today suggests this is a good time to remember to do a self-forgiveness ceremony preparing the way for a better relationship with your self, with others and with the divine source from which all life emerges. One suggestion is to invoke your divine essence in whatever works for you. If you like, you can use any one or all of the examples below or create your own…

I Invite God/dess, Great Mystery, Great Spirit, Source of All That IS within me to operate through me as the power of loving acceptance, blessing all my life experiences as perfect teachings even when I cannot fully see or know the truth of this. I feel and know myself fully and freely forgiven for any harm I have ever thought or done.

I forgive myself for all the ways I have not been fully present or fully myself at any time and have allowed fear to dictate my choices and actions. I forgive myself for believing family, friends, spiritual teachers, and significant others, know more about what I should or should not do to live a fulfilled life. I forgive myself for placing my power, to know myself and what my needs and desires are for living a magical life, outside myself. I forgive myself for all other ways I have not fully been true to my self and I accept that everything I have ever experienced has been divinely sourced and freely forgiven in love and compassion.

I embrace myself as a divine being, knowing that nothing including myself can ever be less than the divine source all life originates from and I give great gratitude for my continued growth in forgiveness and loving compassion for myself and all life. It is done and it is so and I give thanks!

Oct 17, Tuesday. Sun (24 Libra) Sextiles Pluto (24 Sag) suggesting a full speed ahead time for going deeply into transformational experiences that come from acceptance of all that we are even our angry, hurt, vengeful, confused, less than lovable places most of us carry inside. When we can truly accept and embrace all of these denied parts of ourselves then our Will or feelings come into alignment with our Spirit and we experience true wholeness.

Oct 18, Wednesday. Venus (23 Libra) Sextiles Saturn (23 Leo) assisting in structuring new ways of conscious co-creative and co-committed partnership with ourselves and each other. The old forms of relationship are rapidly ending because they do not work especially if they are carrying any form of obligation, restriction or rules. In Neale Donald Walsh’s book Conversations with God we are reminded …Relationship – your relationship to all things - was created as your perfect tool in the work of the soul. That is why all human relationships are sacred ground. It is why every personal relationship is holy.

In this, many churches have it right. Marriage is a sacrament. But not because of its sacred obligations. Rather, because of its unequalled opportunity.

Never do anything in relationship out of a sense of obligation. Do whatever you do out of sense of the glorious opportunity your relationship affords you to decide, and to be Who You Really Are…” http://www.cwg.org/index2.html

Oct 19, Thursday. Moon moves into Libra and Venus (24 Libra) sextiles Pluto (24 Sag) taking the concept of consciously choosing relationship further and deeper. Conversations With God says…Remember, your job on the planet is not to see how long you can stay in relationship, its to decide, and experience, Who You Really Are

That is why it is important to be conscious about why we choose to enter into relationship? If we are choosing relationships because we are unconsciously lonely, bored, depressed, or unfulfilled it is doubtful the relationship will ultimately fulfill those needs. If however we are consciously entering relationship and choosing it as - an opportunity for growth, for full Self expression, for lifting your lives to their highest potential, for healing every false thought or small idea you ever had about you, and for ultimate reunion with God through the communion of your two souls – then we are entering an entirely different domain based on the foundation of consciously choosing our experience. This rewrites our current cultural relationship programming in ways that are liberating, beneficial and supportive to all concerned. http://www.cwg.org/index2.html

Oct 20, Friday. Today we are entering the Libra New Moon Window (exact tomorrow) again bringing our awareness to the importance of conscious loving co-creative relationships. In their book Conscious Loving Gay and Kathleen Hendricks remind us that we can not experience a truly loving conscious relationship unless we love ourselves.

“A co-committed relationship can exist only between two whole people. One hallmark of wholeness is the ability to love yourself. In the realm of love, a paradox exists; you can effectively love others only when you can love yourself. If you cannot love yourself, you will try to fill the void of your own lack of self-love with the love of others. You will tend to demand from others what you cannot give yourself. This demand places an unfair burden on those around you. It makes you a bottomless pit: no matter how much love they give, it is never enough. The same problem exists if you try to give love to other people who do not love themselves. You will turn yourself inside out loving them, but it will not help. We all must learn to give ourselves the love we want. Then other people can love us and it will feel satisfying because it is not filling a void. It becomes love dancing with itself.” http://www.hendricks.com/default.asp

Oct 21, Saturday. Today is the Libra New Moon (28Libra40 at 10:14 pm PDT or 1:14 am Oct 23 EDT) and the Moon conjuncts Mars and Venus before entering Scorpio. Continuing with the theme of self-love as the key to healthy relationships and the ability to embrace all of who we are Gay and Kathleen Hendricks define self-love…

“True self-love is not conceit. Conceit is trying to prove to yourself and the world that you are all right, after you have become mired in self-hate. True self-love is an ongoing celebration of who you are no matter how well you perform. It is an ability to greet the dark parts of yourself with the same gracious embrace as you greet the light. Love draws no distinctions. It IS. Love exists outside the normal constraints of time and space. That is why love can heal something in a second that has been bothering you a decade. If you are angry or afraid, for example, and have never loved yourself for feeling that way, one moment of loving yourself for having those feelings can set you free.” http://www.hendricks.com/default.asp

Oct 22, Sunday. Moon moves into Scorpio, Mercury conjuncts Jupiter (22 Scorpio), Sun Conjuncts Mars (29 Libra. When Mars is conjunct the Sun in Libra it is an underworld initiation for the masculine principle in regard to how it is doing with the mysteries of relationship. Mercury and Jupiter are expanding the shamanic messages most linked with the mysteries of death and rebirth, conscious manifestation, empowered life force energy and conscious Edgewalking etc… It takes courage and willingness to be an edgewalker, to be someone who willingly explores and expands the edges of contemporary reality releasing or dying to the old ways that no longer serve and embracing what is ready to birth or is already birthing. To fully engage the power and magic of this energy we are required to release all attachments to outcome and to embrace the shamanic death process dying to who we have believed ourselves to be.

We can either choose this process now or sometime when we least expect it life will initiate us into some kind of death experience through events beyond our control. This is a good day (month and year) to look at what is ready to die in your world. What beliefs, ways of being, lifestyle choices, attitudes, expectations, relationships etc. are holding you back from being all you can be? What are you afraid of and avoiding as a result? What more can you forgive either in yourself or in others or in your life circumstances releasing your attachments to things like being in control, being right or being wrong, or being a victim, or being the hero, or any other ways of being that limit your experience?

It is time to go farther and deeper into yourself, into your feelings and into your beliefs than you have ever gone before and to love yourself and your life more than you have ever loved before from the place of total surrender, acceptance and gratitude for what IS and for what is dying and for what is birthing. When done with willingness and courage there is greater magic to experience than we ever thought possible.

Oct 23, Monday. This is a powerfully Scorpio day with Mercury (23 Scorpio) Square Saturn (23 Leo), Sun moving into Scorpio, Mars moving into Scorpio, and the waxing tiny crescent Scorpio Moon conjuncting Jupiter and Mercury (23 Scorpio) in the evening sky. A very important Scorpio edge right now is to further explore feelings (our will) in ways that are safe, effective and transformative. A worthy and important Scorpio manual addressing these issues is the first half of the book Right Use of Will received by Ceanne DeRohan.

This book describes the split that occurred between Will and Spirit. In this case Will is defined as feelings and the split happened when a belief was adopted that our feelings (or Will) were not acceptable. The shadow of these repressed feelings began to grow. Right Use of Will points out that, “…the Will of God is not in opposition to the Will of the individual…” This means that when our Will is healthy and allowed free expression it is then automatically aligned with Divine Will and there is no conflict or experience of separation.

The fastest way to heal and evolve the Will is to …”express everything you feel, and do not stop expressing, emotionally or otherwise, until you have really finished. You must not impose this on others that do not want it, for just as it is not spiritual balance to deny yourself in favor of others, it is not spiritual balance to deny others in favor of yourself either…”

Intentionally giving ourselves the mission to explore and accept our feelings, while responsibly finding ways to go deeper than ever before no matter how scary or intense creates a space for unprecedented healing and life force to flow into our being facilitating orgasmic ecstatic growth.

Oct 24, Tuesday. Venus moves into Scorpio and conjuncts Mars in the Underworld near the Sun, Moon moves into Sagittarius and is visible near Antares tonight. The Egyptians linked Antares with the Scorpion Goddess Selkit, a Goddess of destruction and magical protection. The Egyptians also linked Antares with Isis pyramid ceremonials as indicated by Richard Allen in his book Star Names: There Lore and Meaning. The pyramids are an external reflection of the sacred geometry we all carry within our cellular structure that links us to multi-dimensional experiences. Bernadette Brady’s book of Fixed Stars describes Antares as one of four gateways to the otherworld. At this time it is the descent into the world of darkness as the Sun is now passing by Antares (around Dec 1) as it is approaching the Winter Solstice during some of the shortest days of the year. It is important to note that over 26,000 years this star will link with other seasonal times but right now it is nearest Winter Solstice. Thus, Antares is a star gateway to the realms of expansion and empowerment though death and rebirth.

Also today Venus is moving into Scorpio where she remains until Dec 16 energizing the feminine mysteries of the Shaman Sorceress Witch (witch originally meant knowledgeable or wise one) who works through the alchemical transformation of life, death, and rebirth. Scorpio asks what needs to die…what beliefs, ideas, concepts, habits, and attitudes can we shed, release, or transform to support the fullest connection to passionate, alive, life force energy? With Moon near Antares today is an excellent opportunity to shamanically travel to the other worlds for guidance in what is seeking transformation at this time.

Adding to this whole theme is Venus and Mars now reaching their exact conjunction at 1 Scorpio with the Sun less than a degree away. This is a powerful sacred union symbol taking place off the world stage of either the morning or evening sky as both Venus and Mars are engulfed by the Sun’s light. The masculine and feminine principles are joined with each other and with Source, sourcing a whole new paradigm of conscious, loving, healthy, respectful relationship having an opportunity to go deeper and further than ever before in their interactions with each other. This is an excellent time to engage sacred union within ourselves creating sacred time and space for noting the interaction of how our inner feminine and masculine are in fact relating to each other by holding a healing, honoring, and supportive space for both aspects to fulfill their true purpose in ways that support the manifestation of conscious relating.

Oct 25, Wednesday. Jupiter (23 Scorpio) square Saturn (23 Leo) provides us with an opportunity to manifest the full-on in the body experience of radical self-love in this dimension or reality. See Oct 21 for self-love definition.

Oct 26, Thursday. The waxing Sagittarius Moon catches up to Pluto calling attention to any shadow expressions of our concepts around the truth and meaning of life.

Dane Rudhyar describes the basic Sag quest for truth and meaning in his book The astrology of Transformation, A Multilevel Approach as follows …Back of all these myths is man’s essential need to believe that he lives in a world of order to experience life sanely and securely – a world of meaning. Even if we can not fathom or understand what the meaning essentially is, we have to believe such a meaning exists, and that the cosmos is an organic whole – a structured and harmonic system of immensely varied and complex but balanced activities….

If we have defined the meaning of life based in fear then we will draw to us experiences reflecting that fear. This is the shadow of Sagittarius and the reminder from Pluto (now traveling by Galactic Center, the heart and core of our Galaxy, all this year and next) to look deeply at what we have defined as the meaning of life on a personal and collective level. If we have defined the meaning of life based in love and acceptance then Pluto is further empowering this experience.

Oct 27, Friday. The Sun Conjuncts Venus (5 Scorpio). From the Shamanic Astrology perspective looking at the death process of Venus this represents the deepest descent into the underworld, where the darkest shadows are now illuminated and no longer hidden. This is where the shadows can be faced and integrated for personal empowerment. The shadow often holds our greatest abilities we are hiding from for fear they may somehow prove dangerous to us. The darkness cannot exist within the light of the radiant, illuminating Sun, and yet the light may be so bright we are challenged to open up and look at what is hidden within us. Integration of our opposites, our shadow and light is the place where sacred union exists within our human experience.

Oct 28, Saturday. Mercury goes retrograde on October 28 at 25 Scorpio, conjuncts the Sun on November at 17 degrees Scorpio and goes direct on Nov 17 at 9 degrees Scorpio. Mercury retrograde in Scorpio emphasizes the passionate experience of the mind designed to take us deeper and farther than we have ever gone before when we are willing to surrender and walk the edges of new ways of thinking and processing information. (See Mercury Retrograde Article on the Articles page for more info)

Oct 29, Sunday. Today is the day most of the United States and other parts of the world turn clocks back to Standard Time. We also have the Moon entering Aquarius and the reaching its First Quarter phase, Neptune stationing direct at 17 Aquarius energizing the Aquarian ideals of living free from the rules imposed by outside authorities who seek to control, limit and restrict the human experience. Unique, innovative and ahead of its time, the Aquarian energies break down old restrictive systems for the purpose of breaking through to new experiences of expanded states of awareness. The next couple of days are great for thinking out side the box and doing something completely original and unexpected for the purpose of expressing greater freedom in ways that are constructive and supportive

Oct 30, Monday. Moon conjuncts Neptune (17 Aquarius) and retrograde Mercury conjuncts Jupiter (25 Scorpio) both for the second time this month. See October 3 and 22.

Oct 31, Tuesday. Moon enters Pisces energizing the mysteries of healing through compassion. This is the aspect of compassion defined as the ability to fully love and accept ourselves and others wherever we are no matter how difficult the experience without having to fix or change anything. This includes allowing whatever needs to be in the moment a safe, accepting space where true and profound healing is possible. Often this radical acceptance is all that is needed to catalyze a breakthrough to a whole new way of experiencing life. When we experience total loving acceptance - it acts as a natural catalyst transforming our pain and dis-ease into wisdom and strength. Pisces reminds us that not only is love the answer to every question but Love also heals everything!!!
