Grace and the Celestial
This is a work in progress...so be sure to check back soon.
The Celestial World initiations are reminders of the power of Loving Grace to transform our lives in an instant. Grace is not something we can earn by being good enough or doing enough. Grace does not happen in ways that are logical and rational and often comes in the least expected moments of absolute surrender, when we are simply being with what IS.
“What is grace” I asked God.
And He said,
“All that happens.”
Then He added, when I looked perplexed,
“Could not lovers
say that every moment in their Beloved’s arms
was grace?
Existence is my arms,
though I well understand how one can turn
away from
me
until the heart has
wisdom.”

Grace Defined
There are moments we notice
because their clamor for attention is
insistent and loud.
And then there are the moments
that are there for you to find,
if you are aware.
If you haven't let yourself
be hypnotized by all the whistles and bells
and bright lights that are so much
a part of this noisy world.
The moments that sit quietly waiting for our discovery
are a kind of grace,
something granted that can never be asked for.
You simply cannot ask for grace
to be conferred upon you.
Choose almost any movement
of any moment
the one you love commits -
a downward turn of eyes,
hands reaching out, arms embracing,
a foot, quietly turned,
the long curve of the neck,
the mouth with a gentle smile -
in each, grace exists.
But let us choose just one, simple, almost
unnoticed act
because sometimes in the moments we pay least notice
exists everything we should aspire to.
Let us choose the moment when the woman you love
pulls her hair behind her ear
in a movement that has
all five fingers seemingly dancing over the ear
in a display of lightness and grace.
That one simple act
is like a movement in some long,
forgotten ceremony,
a moment of such grace
you may live several lifetimes
and never see the like again.
