THE VAULT OF HEAVEN:
The night sky, with its eternal fixed stars and majestic constellations, is the ancient root of all astrology and the deepest source of the creation myths of mankind. Long before there were horoscopes, aspects, houses or signs, dedicated (priestess and) priest-astrologers of Sumer, Akkad, Babylon, Greece, Phoenicia, Egypt, China, India, (North), Central and (South) America, indeed, of virtually every civilization of which we have record, patiently observed and measured sky-patterns. The mysterious risings, settings, and circlings of heaven were weighed against mundane phenomena of earth, sea and humankind; learned astrologers compared, synthesized, and integrated all they knew of earth and sky, that mankind might comprehend its part in the great mystery. Their greatest responsibility lay in recording and handing down all they had learned so that we, their heirs, could carry forward the sacred task.
Now, at the end of the 20th century of the Common Era - more than 5,000 years after the earliest scribes of Sumer first recorded already ancient wisdom passed down to them by memory-chanters - the recovery and translation of ancient texts have made it possible to rediscover, analyze, test and employ this great heritage of star-knowledge. What was once known only to the most learned priests (and priestesses) of the earliest civilizations has come into our hands, that we may now take our place in the sacred succession. Diana K Rosenberg http://www.ye-stars.com
The Celestial Timings are offered as a very beginning step in taking our place in the sacred succession of somehow, in some way, comprehending at least this part of the Great Mystery as the planets and stars continue to inform our evolutionary process especially now at The Turning Of the Ages.
http://www.shamanicastrology.com/articles07.htm What is shared here for each day is only one of many possibilities of how these energies may manifest. As we learn the essence of each energy, and how they interact, and how we are interacting with them, then we can more consciously choose how we want to participate with the unfolding Great Mystery.
Last month a Grand Fire Trine formed when Venus and the Moon moved through the mid-degrees of Aries trining Saturn at 18 Leo and Jupiter at 19 Sagittarius. This month the Sun (April 8 and 9), Moon (April 16) and Mercury (April 20 and 21) will form another Grand Trine. The Grand Fire Trine energy this month inspires action and participation through the imagery of the Phoenix and the alchemical fires of transformational change. Blessed Be!!!
Important reminder: Every aspect mentioned has an influence for at least three days beginning the day before and ending the day after the exact aspect. Many influences last several months and I do my best to clarify the ones that last longer.
Visible Planets
- Mercury (15 Pisces to 6 Taurus) is not visible in the North but may be visible later in the month in southern regions
- Venus (18Taurus to 21 Gemini is still dominating the evening sky after Sunset setting more than three hours and half hours after the Sun has set. Venus is near within 2 and ½ degrees of Pleiades on April 11 and moves onto toward Aldebaran catching up to it on April 19.
- Mars (26 Aquarius to 18 Pisces) is brightening and rising about 2 hours before the Sun.
- Jupiter (19Sag45 stationing retrograde April 5 at 19 Sag 47 ending the month at 18Sag52) has moved beyond Antares by 11 degrees and will retrograde on April 5 reversing direction moving back to conjunct Antares again later this summer.
- Saturn (retrograde 18Leo27 goes direct April 19 at 18Leo09 and ends the month at 18 Leo15) within 12 degrees of Regulus, the heart of the Lion. See April 25
- Moon (goes through all the signs in a month starting the month in Leo and ending it in Virgo). The Full Moon in Libra is near Spica on April 2 and 3 and then moves onto Antares showing up 2 degrees to lower right of Antares before Sunrise on April 7. The Moon is 6 to 7 degrees to the lower right of Jupiter on April 8 and Moon catches up to Mars on April 13 and 14. The New Moon crescent joins with Venus 40 degrees from the Sun on April 20 and the waxing gibbous Moon joins Saturn 2 degrees to Saturn’s lower right setting around 3 am on April 25 and is 1 and ½ degrees from Regulus on April 26. The Moon rejoins Spica on April 30.

Apr 01, Sunday. The Moon is moving into Libra today opening the Full Moon window exact tomorrow. So tonight we have the fullest rise of the Moon while it is still waxing. By tomorrow night the Full Moon will have begun to wane by the time it rises, though it will still appear full. Also, we are still in the energy of the Pluto station retrograde that happened yesterday. This deepens the journey of Pluto excavating the truth of how we are choosing to live our lives.. Pema Chodron speaks to this beautifully in her book The Places That Scare You asking the question: “Do I prefer to grow up and relate to life directly, or do I choose to live and die in fear.” Pluto requires us to face our fears and integrate all the parts that scare us for the purpose of empowering us to live our true destiny.
Also today, Mercury conjuncts Uranus and the North Node (16 Pisces) further opening an even greater possibility of receiving a radical, perception altering, message related to our unfolding divine destiny. Uranus and Mercury are experimental energies so working with experimental ideas, concepts and ways of doing things are featured now over the next few months as Uranus and the North Node continue to energize the experience of radical compassion designed to take us into new territory. Choosing to embrace the changes and new ways of experiencing life now presenting themselves are key factors in co-creating a magical life. Sarah Ban Breathnach author of Simple Abundance agrees saying "Choice is destiny's soul mate."
Apr 02, Monday. Today is the Libra Full Moon (13 Libra) with Venus (18 Taurus) square Saturn (18 Leo) illuminating the mysteries of conscious equal partnership and relationship with ourselves and others. The Venus Saturn square reminds us of the importance of structuring our lives in new ways that relieves us of the old Saturnian paradigm that would have us believe we are not good enough the way we are. Because the old Saturn paradigm has been such an uncomfortable collective program many of us have found ourselves projecting onto others that they should be different than how they are. There has been a standard of perfection that no one can really meet but many have believed that others can and should. When we can forgive ourselves and forgive those around us especially when we fall short of the perfection we think we should achieve then we begin creating a new paradigm structured in the knowing that we are divine beings learning and growing and loving ourselves in the process. When we forgive and love ourselves then it is much easier to love and forgive others.
This Libra Full Moon is a great time to energize conscious loving partnership with ourselves and others. In their book Conscious Loving - The Journey to Co-Commitment Gay and Kathlyn Hendricks describe unconscious loving as the primary factor that turns relationships into entanglements that ultimately wind up sapping energy and creativity. Co-Commitment on the other hand supports a state of well-being that enhances the energy and creativity of both partners. A co-creative relationship is passionate, productive and harmonious and the good news is we don’t even need a willing partner or even any partner at all to create this for ourselves. Basically our first and most important primary conscious relationship is the one we are co-creating with our Self and this Full Moon is a great time to note and value where we are in the journey toward conscious relating while releasing any attachments to perfection or what we think it should look like.
Apr 03, Tuesday. The Moon moves into Scorpio until Apr 6 transmitting the shamanic mysteries of death and rebirth, surrendering who we believe ourselves to be in a shamanic death for the purpose of being fully empowered and birthed into who we truly are.
Apr 04, Wednesday. Mercury (19 Pisces) squares Jupiter (19 Sag) expanding the messages of compassion for the truth of where we are in this moment without the need to change it or fix it.
Venus (21 Taurus) squares Neptune (21 Aquarius) increasing awareness around our collective and personal visions and dreams, as well as the illusions, of our relationship to beauty and intimacy.
“The ideals which have lighted my way and time after time have given me new courage to face life cheerfully have been kindness, beauty, and truth.”
—Albert Einstein
Apr 05, Thursday. Jupiter (20 Sag) stations retrograde until August 6 when it stations direct at 10 Sag near the fixed star Antares. Retrograde Jupiter takes us more deeply into the quest for the truth of who we are and the meaning of our lives. The journey of Jupiter as it retrogrades near Galactic Center and then returns to Antares, the gate keeper of the central galactic mysteries, is worth noting. It is only every 12 years Jupiter will cross this area of the sky. This year we have the added feature of Pluto at Galactic Center, an event that only occurs every 248 years and Pluto just went retrograde a few days ago as well. Jupiter and Pluto together is a powerful symbol for alchemy and magic when we have integrated the shadow aspects of ourselves and can courageously embrace the depth and power of this expansive energy.
Apr 06, Friday. Good Friday. Mars moves into Pisces further energizing the mysteries of radical compassion for ourselves and for others. Quoting again from the book The Places that Scare You by Pema Chodron we have a wonderful example of the essence of radical compassion as a tool for how to help and heal ourselves.
When we touch the center of sorrow, when we sit with discomfort without trying to fix it, when we stay present to the pain of disapproval or betrayal and let it soften us, these are the times that we connect with bodhichitta (Pema defines bodhichitta as follows….chitta is “mind” and “heart” and ‘”attitude” and bodhi is “awake”, “enlightened” or “completely open”. “Sometimes the completely open heart and mind of the bodhichitta is called the soft spot, a place as vulnerable and tender as an open wound”).
Tapping into that shaky and tender place has a transformative effect. Being in this place may feel uncertain and edgy but it’s also a big relief. Just to stay there even for a moment, feels like a genuine act of kindness to ourselves. Being compassionate enough to accommodate our fears takes courage, of course, and it definitely feels counterintuitive. But it’s what we need to do.
The Moon is moving into Sagittarius and will move into the Lunar Standstill window tomorrow. For the past two years the Moon has been located at its 19 year lunar extreme rising near Galactic Center located between the constellations of the Archer and the Scorpion. Once each month for all of this year and into 2008, due to the 19 year lunar extreme, the Moon is passing directly over or occulting Galactic Center providing us with a consistent monthly download further illuminating and transmitting the incoming vibrational energies from this central galactic portal. It is important to remember that we are informing these energies as much as they are informing us. So, what we are thinking, feeling and intending is contributing to what is unfolding. Being conscious of our co-creative participation reminds us to responsibly think and act in ways that match our truest heart’s desire in alignment with Divine Will.
Apr 07, Saturday. Mercury (25 Pisces) sextiles Venus (25 Taurus) and the Grand Fire Trine with Jupiter, Saturn and the Sun comes into a tight one degree orb intensifying the transformational potency of this three day Lunar Standstill window beginning today. The Grand Fire Trine assists in the resurrection energy powerfully expressing in the mass consciousness as Easter.
Grand Fire Trines operate in the realm of Spirit animating and activating vital life force energy and represents all the astrological Fire signs (Sagittarius, Leo and Aries). When healthy these energies express their fire in different ways. Sagittarius expresses the fire of adventure for ever-expanding truth and meaning. Leo expresses the fire of the Sun—showing up as a radiant, shining, bright light spreading their light and warmth through radical self-love. Aries expresses active fire that moves with passionate focused purpose and commitment to its cause.
What messages are coming through the element of fire now? How does Saturn in Leo, trine Jupiter in Sagittarius, trine the Sun in Aries find inspired healthy expressions for new actions based in new truths while also animating new forms based in radical self-love and the genuinely passionate love of life?
This Timing calls our attention to the fire element and to the ways the Sun (another fiery symbol) is illuminating the two planets most connected to “this” world initiations. Saturn and Jupiter as initiatory energies do not operate in the Celestial World or the Underworld. Their initiations are about the changes we experience in the world of form or the world of our everyday existence. Grand Trines also represent mastery of the element though when the Sun trines any outer planet that planet (in this case Jupiter and Saturn) are nearly stationary in the sky or they are at the Still Point of their cycle where anything can happen. Accessing our own Still Point in relationship to this Timing may be the best way to receive the messages and inspiration available now.
Apr 08, Sunday. Happy Easter. The Lunar Standstill Moon conjuncts retrograde Jupiter (19 Sag) and Pluto (28 Sag) and moves into Capricorn. The Sun (18 Aries) trines Saturn (18 Leo) today and trines Jupiter (19 Sag) tomorrow. The Lunar Standstill days each month of this year take us beyond the boundaries of what we believe is ordinary reality where new possibilities are seeking expression in this world of form. Putting this together with the alchemical energy of the Grand Fire Trine the image of a Phoenix arising renewed from the alchemical fire comes to mind. The Phoenix is a Fire Bird or Sun Bird and during the Middle Ages was the primary Christian symbol for the resurrection of Christ. The Fixed Star Site talks about the Phoenix symbolism and its connection to the Fire Bird or Sun Bird.
Taoists called the phoenix the 'cinnabar bird' (tan-niao), cinnabar being red sulfur of mercury. Furthermore, the phoenix corresponds, emblematically, to south, Summer. Fire and the color red. Similarly, its symbolism is akin to the Sun, life and immortality. The Phoenix represents the sun itself, which dies at the end of each day, but is reborn the following dawn….To the ancient mystics the phoenix was a most appropriate symbol of the immortality of the human soul, for just as the phoenix was reborn out of its own dead self seven times seven, so again and again the spiritual nature of man rises triumphant from his dead physical body…. Philosophers say that the phoenix is the symbol of the transmutation and regeneration of the creative energy commonly called the accomplishment of the Great Work. (The Secret Teachings Of All Ages 1928 by Manly P Hall). http://users.winshop.com.au/annew/cons0.htm
Thus, as the Sun moves into complete this Grand Fire Trine in the Lunar Standstill window at a time when many are already celebrating the mysteries of resurrection we are being reminded from the Great Above that indeed the alchemical transformational fire is ready to assist us in rising renewed and resurrected from the limiting beliefs of the old paradigm while also remembering the mysteries of the Phoenix as a member of the Fire Bird Tribe. (See April 9)
Apr 09, Monday. Sun (19 Aries) exactly trines Jupiter (19 Sag) continuing the Grand Fire Trine energy as we are completing the Lunar Standstill Window. This Grand Trine energy will continue on for many months and will formulate again when the Moon passes through Aries on April 16 and when Mercury reaches the mid-degrees of Aries on April 20 and 21. Mars will also catch up to form the trine in early June. If we are not feeling resurrected into a new form yet there is still time to embrace this possibility stepping into a renewed way of being that includes inspired action arising from the firelight of passionate inspiration. For those who are feeling renewed and resurrected this is a great time to further journey on how to best express your renewed fiery energy.
The Phoenix, aka Sun Bird or Fire Bird reminds us of our key connection to the source of all life. The Fire Bird or Phoenix is one of the members of the Bird Tribes. Back in the 1990’s Ken Carey brought attention to the Bird Tribes in his book Return of the Bird Tribes. He suggested that the Bird Tribes had once been found inhabiting places all over planet Earth but they began withdrawing when humanity grew more violent. The last place they occupied was the Americas. They left the physical Earth plane with a promise to return when the Earth prophecies were fulfilled. These quotes from a website devoted to the Bird Tribes capture some imagery to inspire whatever is your connection to these mysteries.
Reality is not constrained by limited conceptions about its nature - and the Bird Tribes know no separation from that Reality.
"We are the BirdTribes, We the winged Ones,
who have not lost connection to the whole.
We are the Gardeners of this field of stars
wherein there grow the flowers of consciousness.
It is our work to oversee your souls
development and growth towards the light
and to this aim we bring perception of
the Beauty and the Harmony of Love.
We are the people of the Truth, of Peace.
We are the BirdTribes, listen for our Songs
in field and forest, mountain and sea shore
and you will hear us calling you back home".
'We the Winged Ones' by Dan Vantari http://www.birdtribes.ws/WhoAre.htm
Apr 10, Tuesday. The Capricorn Last Quarter Moon (20 Capricorn) is a great time for organizing our thoughts, plans, actions and space around us in ways that help to integrate effective expressions of who we really are. When in balance the Capricorn mysteries operate with awareness of how our actions effect the next seven generations and how we can actively contribute to the health and well being of our personal and collective environment? To be responsible citizens of this global community it helps to use our personal and Earthly resources wisely.
Mercury (28 Pisces) squares retrograde Pluto (28 Sag) providing us with an opportunity to integrate the energy and wisdom of our fears with compassion and willingness to be with them. What we fear or resist requires our energy keeping us “at the effect of” dictating our experience. Mercury’s message now is about taking responsibility for what we are experiencing no matter how much it looks like it is happening outside of us. The truth is every experience is a reflection that lets us know how well we are doing in accepting and trusting the unfolding life process.
Then…Mercury moves into Aries until April 28 energizing the aspect of thinking that comes from spontaneous action based on Knowing that is beyond logic and reason. The innocence and courage of Aries reminds us of the strength found in the beginner’s mind.
“In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert’s there are few.”
—Suzuki Roshi Zen Master
Apr 11, Wednesday. The Moon is moving into Aquarius bringing through the mysteries of the cosmic revolutionary experimenting with innovative ideas intended to accelerate growth and consciousness. And the Sun (21 Aries) is sextiling Neptune (21 Aquarius) heightening physical sensitivity and inner intuitive processes. When an outer planet sextiles the Sun it is always direct in motion and picking up speed in its orbit from the Earth’s perspective. This suggests the initiatory energy of Neptune is operating in a direct and straightforward way so progressive forward movement toward the fulfillment of our visions and dreams is accomplished.
Venus moves into Gemini tonight until May 8 and is visible near the Pleiades suggesting the divine feminine energy is sending us a transmission from the Pleiadian Stargate located on the edge of the Sacred Hoop http://www.shamanicastrology.com/2002PlanetaryAlignment.htm. Venus in Gemini energizes the feminine archetype of the heyokah coyote woman who loves to remind us life is not as serious as it sometimes seems liberating limited and narrow viewpoints and beliefs?
Apr 12, Thursday. Moon conjuncts Neptune (21 Aquarius) illuminating any confusion around our shifting inner assemblage point. If our beliefs are assembled around limited outmoded views then this can be an uncomfortable time. Neptune archetypally operates in formless form or the field of all possibilities where dreams originate and ideas shape shift in and out of our consciousness unless we are quick enough to formulate them into action, with an intent to ground these ideas and vision into a concrete expression. It might be helpful to note what is still being dreamed and what is ready to find reality through action?
Apr 13, Friday. Friday is the day the week named after Venus in her Norse Goddess incarnation Freya. In ancient times, this was a day earth-based cultures honored the Goddess staying home from normal work routines to celebrate her various expressions of love. This was discouraged by the religious and political leaders proclaiming both Friday and the number 13 unlucky.
Interestingly because the way our months are set up, the 13th falls on Friday slightly more often than any other day of the week. According to the Guy Ottewell’s Astronomical calendar over a 400 year period starting in 1582 the 13th day of the month fell on Saturday 684 times, Sunday 687 times, Monday 685 times, Tuesday 685 times, Wednesday 687, Thursday 684 times and Friday 688 times.
The Moon is moving into Pisces and occulting Mars (6 Pisces) energizing the mysteries of the compassionate heart, reminding us to not only have compassion for others but especially to have compassion for our own challenges and wounds, loving and accepting who we are even though we may not feel we are perfect or acceptable in some way. Expect the unexpected today in ways that will may dramatically shift your perceptual reality. (See April 6 for more on true compassion) And since this is falling on Friday the 13th this is a great time to shift our perception about Friday the 13th and honor it again as a sacred day of the Divine Feminine.
Apr 14, Saturday. The Moon occults Uranus (17 Pisces) for the second time this year and the 11th time since last April 2006. This accelerates the incoming energies of radical compassion as demonstrated by the archetypal energy of the Divine Mother. One of her more well-known incarnations is Kwan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion. She reminds us to be aware of our thoughts and emotions, and how we are creating our reality with them. Kwan Yin does not interfere with what we are choosing to create however she does hold the place of radical compassion by maintaining a loving space for us to choose to remember the strength and power of our true divine essence. It is up to us to choose to receive this love and compassion that is always there for us when we are ready to accept it.
Apr 15, Sunday. The Moon is moving into Aries encouraging us to take inspired decisive action to live our passion and commitment to our soul’s purpose. If you don’t know what your passion or purpose is then this is a time to commit to taking actions that will help you find your purpose. One way to start is by exploring what interests you and seeing where that leads.
Apr 16, Monday. Moon conjuncts Mercury (9 Aries) and both will be moving to complete the Grand Trine. The Moon later today and Mercury by April 20. (See April 7, 8, and 9) The messages coming through now are linked to inspiration and enthusiasm for a worthy cause. Spontaneous decisive action, based on trusting the-in-the-moment intuitive process for inner guidance, helps direct and support the courageous authentic actions of this timing. Aries asks "What parts of the cosmic order are you committed to furthering and upholding?"
Apr 17, Tuesday. The Aries New Moon (27 Aries) is at 4:36 am PDT and then the Moon moves into Taurus at 9:11 am PDT. New Moons occur about every 29 and ½ days when the Moon aligns with the Sun from the Earth’s perspective. The New Moon is a conception point, a time when farmers plant their seeds, or a new adventure (or initiation) begins. Working with a clear intent during the New Moon window (a three day window including the day before and after the exact New Moon) is a wonderful timing for collectively planting seeds, or prayers, for wholeness, healing, harmony, balance, peace, and so on. As the crescent Moon increases in light, growing bigger each night, it symbolizes the growth of the seeds planted at the New Moon. The Aries New Moon is an excellent timing for planting seeds around what projects you are committed to furthing.
Apr 18, Wednesday. The Sun (28 Aries) trines Pluto (28 Sag) and is in a wide trine to stationary Saturn (18 Leo) stationing direct tomorrow. The Sun is illuminating the shadow that Pluto so powerfully excavates. This is a time for gently and lovingly integrating the shadow parts that scare us and zap our energy. With Saturn at the Still Point of its annual cycle there is an opportunity to note the new forms that are ready to emerge when we successfully integrate the gifts of any wounds and fears that have prevented us from fully living the power of who we truly are.
Apr 19, Thursday. The Moon is moving into Gemini transmitting the mysteries of “crazy wisdom” designed to expand conscious awareness and remind us that life is not as serious as we sometimes believe it to be. This quote from Chuang Tse comes from the book Crazy Wisdom by Wes Neskar and is from memory so it may not be word for word but hey that is also perfect for the Crazy Wisdom of Gemini.
Right is not right. So is not so. If right were really right, it would differ so greatly from not right that there would be no need for argument. If so were really so, it would differ so greatly from not so that there would be no need for argument. -Chuang Tse
Apr 20, Friday. The seasonal move of Sun into Taurus marks the phase of the year when we begin to see the fruits of accelerated rapid growth. Acknowledging and complimenting ourselves daily on the ways we contribute to creating feelings of beauty, joy, pleasure, acceptance, harmony, and love in our world attracts more of these experiences into our life.
The Gemini moon conjuncts Venus (10 Gemini near the fixed star Aldebaran) marking the passage of Inanna/Venus through the fifth gate on her journey OUT of the underworld. When Inanna Queen of Heaven and Earth goes INTO the underworld she is required to release a vestment at each gate. She has no choice! This is a shamanic initiation beyond her control and she must play by the rules. This initiation is a death to who she believes herself to be, eventually being reborn into a clearer more real sense of self. Inanna is forever transformed by this experience. In her ascent FROM the underworld she retrieves the symbols she released going in and finds she has a whole new, healthier relationship and experience with them. In one version of the story, Inanna retrieves her double strand of lapis beads symbolizing healing and protection in how she uses her voice to express her true authentic self. Truth spoken from the heart, not from the head, or from the wounds, or from insecurity, or from fear, but rather from love, is healing for all who hear it.
Apr 21, Saturday. Lunar Standstill Moon moves into Cancer crossing the Galactic Edge, Mercury (18 Aries) trines Saturn (18 Leo) and Jupiter (19 Sag) in a nearly exact Grand Fire Trine Once each month for all of 2006 and 2007 the ‘out of bounds’ Moon accesses and transmits energies from beyond our galactic realm indicating we are receiving a whole new download of inter-galactic information and vibrational frequency beyond the bounds of our current life experience. This vibrational shift has been in process for many years and is now being magnified in this 19 year lunar standstill window.
It is easier to assimilate these energies when we consciously focus our thoughts and actions on what we are choosing to create without attachment to the outcome. If we allow for the possibility that everything is perfect just the way it IS in every moment then we are engaging the flow of life rather than resisting it.
This Timing pushes us to the edge of our galactic reality in ways that are perfectly orchestrated for continued release and expansion into a whole new way of experiencing life even if at times it seems overwhelmingly intense. Jupiter and Mercury lead the way reminding us to let go of attachments and beliefs that hold us in a limited form of experience.
"To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; we must first set our hearts right."
—Confucius
Apr 22, Sunday. Earth Day. Mercury (21 Aries) sextiles Neptune (21 Aquarius) and Venus (12 Gemini) squares Mars (12 Pisces). These aspects suggest that messenger Mercury, drawing upon the vast inner knowing of Neptune that goes beyond logic and reason, is providing important messages to the Divine Feminine (Venus) in her relationship to the Divine Masculine (Mars) in signs that are both In Service to Spirit but approached in completely different ways. Venus is Gemini is the entertainer, the coyote trickster, who serves spirit through stretching (or shapeshifting) and expanding our perspective so that we can get the cosmic joke. Pisces serves through compassion and doesn’t always comprehend the playful nature of Gemini. Today then is an opportunity to expand our perspective to see how these differing energies can work together to serve spirit in new, innovative, compassionate and definitely fun ways.
Apr 23, Monday. The Moon’s journey through the late degrees of Cancer opens the First Quarter Moon window moving into Leo later today. The exact first quarter Moon for Pacific Time at 11:35 pm tonight in the Eastern Time zones is at 2:35 tomorrow morning. The First Quarter Moon symbolizes a time for taking inspired action that furthers a cause we are committed to or furthers the heroic journey of our lives. Today the focus is mostly on the Cancer mysteries. Healthy Cancer operates from the accepting, loving, forgiving parental perspective starting of course with ourselves. Self-forgiveness, self-acceptance, and self-love are all foundational in healthy nurturing. It might help to look at an issue or situation that you have any judgment about and consider how this is a reflection of how you are accepting and loving yourself or not and then consider what the gifts are for you that the person or situation is bringing you in deepening your ability to truly nurture and love yourself. Often those we judge the most harshly are actually facilitating the greatest personal awakening and growth possible when we are willing to shift our perspective.
Apr 24, Tuesday. The Leo First Quarter Moon (4 Leo) is a half Full Moon balanced between shadow and light. When healthy Leo shows up with its charismatic shining divine essence it inspires others to see their own divine essence as well. A shadow expression of Leo is; “I am God and you are not.” Or “I am special and you are not.” However, the pure essence of Leo knows that everyone is a divine being, and no one is more or less important than anyone else. Even the Super Star steps off center stage at times to allow others to play their roles in the spotlight. Leo knows that the starring, leading role is only one essential part of the greater whole and without the supporting roles the whole is not complete and therefore without all the roles being fulfilled they (the Leo super star) are not complete either. No one Being is any more important or less important than any other. As the Hopi Elders have shared and it really can not be said enough… “We are the One’s we have been waiting for.”
Apr 25, Wednesday. The Moon occults Saturn (18 Leo) early this morning and by tonight can be seen very near the fixed star Regulus, marking the heart of the Lion. The Lion constellation in the Great Above corresponds to the Sphinx in the Great Below where “The Hall of Records” is located. In his book Fingerprints of the Gods http://www.dreamscape.com/morgana/bauval.htm, Graham Hancock pointed out that the First Time date of 10,500 BCE also denoted the beginning or first Time of the Age of Leo. This was when the Lion constellation would have risen heliacally (at dawn before the sun) on the day of the vernal (spring) equinox. This event brought the celestial lion to rest due east, thus in perfect alignment with the Sphinx. The Sphinx, in other words, was made to look at his own image in the horizon -- and consequently at his own "time." We are in the reverse of this time now as the Lion constellation is rising with the Autumnal Equinox and thus the Sphinx is once again looking at his own image at the opposite equinox, at a time of balance between light and dark. As the Moon passes by here once each month and Saturn has been lingering in this area of the sky this past year we are receiving a transmission that includes new understanding of these codes or records and how best to put them into form. This timing reminds of the divine codes we all carry within ourselves. This is a powerful time for intentionally accepting, integrating and living our true divine natures.
Apr 26, Thursday. The Moon moves into Virgo transmitting the mysteries that understand and co-create with the patterning of life. The ancient sky watchers were trained in the knowledge of the sacred timings and when to perform the special ceremonies that kept life in balance. Attuning to the unfolding pattern these next couple of days is a helpful tool for guiding our next steps.
Mercury (28 Aries) trines retrograde Pluto (28 Sag) and Venus (17 Gemini) squares Uranus (17 Pisces) providing opportunities for unexpected breakthroughs especially in the area of innovative creativity. It helps to roll with the flow and embrace changes that are designed to support greater freedom of being.
Apr 27, Friday. Mercury into Taurus for the next 15 days before entering Gemini on May 11. Mercury symbolizes our mind, our style of thinking and communication, or said another way…through what archetypal lens we perceive our reality. Mercury in Taurus includes the art of aesthetics, beauty, intimacy, pleasure, enjoyment, and receivership. In the mystery school of Taurus one key to experiencing the joy of powerful life force energy is in the ability to receive, enjoy and savor the experience of Sacred Pleasure.
Apr 28, Saturday. Venus (19 Gemini) opposes Jupiter (19 Sag) expanding the playful crazy wisdom of Venus as she continues her ascent out of the underworld. A crazy wisdom master might say; “Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.”
Mars conjuncts Uranus (17 Pisces) breaking down the old forms to break through to new experiences that are unusually liberating. Mars and Uranus together is a combination often found when accidents happen acting as a wake up call intended to radically shift our reference point especially if we have been sleepwalking in some area of our life.
Apr 29, Sunday. The Moon moved into Libra yesterday where it remains until May 1 once again transmitting the mysteries of conscious loving relationship. (See April 2) This is a good time to note how we encounter others whether they are an intimate partner, a family member, a good friend or someone we just met. How we relate to others reflects how we relate to ourselves. James Redfield suggests in The Celestine Prophecy that everyone we encounter has a message for us. There are no chance encounters. When we lift up another person by sending them loving energy we help them discover the message they have for us. So in that sense energizing another person is essentially the best thing we can do for ourselves even if we do not always know what the message is right away. This is because everyone we encounter that reflects to us a part of ourselves. Sometimes we find what is being reflected is an aspect of ourselves we have a judgment about or don’t like. Conversely we may find the other person is reflecting something we truly appreciate and value. It is likely the message for us from another person is in our response to them and our response is telling us about how we are relating to ourselves and to life.
Apr 30, Monday. Mars (18 Pisces) squares Jupiter (18 Sag) and Venus (21 Gemini) trines Neptune (21 Aquarius) suggesting the energies at this time are illusive and unpredictable with an intent to expand our perception and awareness to include multi-dimensional realms taking us beyond previously known mental and emotional concepts. When we choose to align with the intent of these Celestial energies then this choice more easily supports knowing beyond ordinary knowing, seeing beyond ordinary seeing, and feeling beyond ordinary feeling.
