Use binoculars to catch Mercury and Spica in conjunction on Friday evening the 21st. (Their exact positions with respect to each other will depend on where you are.) The old rule is that stars twinkle and planets don't, but when you're viewing through this much of Earth's unsteady atmosphere, even a planet is likely to twinkle a bit. Sky & Telescope diagram.

October Daily Timings
The following information is excerpted from the Summit Lighthouse website. There they have extensive information about the Violet Flame: what it is, how to use it, and the benefits of using it. Whenever engaging this type of information, be sure to follow your inner guidance and trust what you know works for you. http://www.tsl.org/violet/violetflame.asp
…The violet fire transmutes anything negative that is lodged anywhere in your spiritual or physical being. This includes everything from kernels of self-hatred to physical viruses. When the violet flame goes to work, it passes through the clogged spaces between the electrons and the nuclei. It ejects these particles of dense substance from your body and dissolves them. This process transmutes the negative energy into positive energy and restores it to its native purity….
A Violet-Flame Pillar
When you invoke the violet flame, you can vis-ualize yourself surrounded by a violet-flame pillar about six feet in diameter and about nine feet high. It can extend from beneath your feet to well over the top of your head.
See the violet flame come to life as if you were looking at a movie. The flames rise and pulsate around you in different shades of purple, pink and violet.
Around this violet-flame pillar, you can see your tube of light, an even bigger pillar of white light that protects and seals the violet flame.
Keep this visualization in mind while you are decreeing and throughout the day. Every time you think of it, you are reinforcing this image.
Saint Germain has given us the violet-flame decree:
"I AM a being of violet fire!
I AM the purity God desires!"
When you recite this and other violet-flame decrees, the violet flame permeates every cell and atom of your body, into your mind, your emotions, your subconscious, and your memory.
For additional information on the healing power of the Violet Flame see the July 2007 Celestial Timings Archives.
Here is information about the False Dawn that is prominent this time of year.
Visible Planets
- Sun (7 Libra to 8 Scorpio) The Sun conjuncts Retrograde Mercury beginning a new Mercury cycle on October 23.
- Mercury (4 Scorpio to 23 Libra) begins the month in the evening sky going Retrograde on October 12 and conjuncting the Sun on October 23 at 00 Scorpio 49. Mercury returns to Spica on October 28 within 2.8 degrees.
- Venus (25 Leo 04 to 21 Virgo 14) Venus and Saturn are coming together again around mid-month within 4 degree of Regulus. Venus passes within one degree of Regulus again from October 5 to 9, reaching its exact conjunction on October 7. (See Saturn for spectacular Triangle with the Crescent Moon.) Venus rises four hours before the Sun in late October and reaches greatest elongation (46.5 degrees away from the Sun) on October 28.
- Mars (1 Cancer 08 to 10 Cancer 59) is growing brighter this month as it moves through the constellation of the Twins. Mars is slowing down this month as it prepares for its Retrograde Station on November 15 at 12 Cancer 27.
- Jupiter (14 Sagittarius 18 to 19 Sagittarius 31) Stationed Direct on August 6, in alignment with Antares, the Heart of the Scorpion and is continuing its move through that constellation. Jupiter begins the month conjunct the Great Attractor (See June 2007 Archives) and by end of month sets about two hours after the Sun.
- Saturn (3 Virgo 29 to 6 Virgo 27) On October 5, Venus is 7.5 degrees to the upper right of Saturn and both Saturn and Venus are about 4 degrees either side of Regulus visible in the morning sky several hours before Sunrise. On October 7, we have a triangle of 6 degrees by 4 degrees by 3 degrees of Venus-Saturn-Regulus rising with the Crescent Moon inside it. The closest alignment of this trio is from October 9 to 13 when they are in a 5-degree circle. On the mornings of October 14 and 15, Venus and Saturn are less than 3 degrees apart. Saturn is fainter than it has been in years as it conjuncts Venus. By month’s end, Saturn rises about five hours before the Sun and is located 15 degrees to the upper right of Venus and 6.5 degrees to the lower left of Regulus.
- Moon (Goes through all the signs in a month starting October in Gemini and ending it in Cancer.) The most spectacular expression of the Moon this month is on October 7 when the Moon is in the triangle of Venus, Saturn, and Regulus. Moon passes Aldebaran on October 1, and Mars on October 2, and Venus on October 6, and Jupiter on October 15. The Moon occults Regulus on October 7, visible in Northwest Africa, Spain, and Britain.
Invisible Planets
- Uranus (15 Pisces 52 to 15 Pisces 01) Retrograded June 23 at 18 Pisces 41, reached opposition to the Sun on September 9 and Stations Direct on November 24 at 14 Pisces 46.
- Neptune (19 Aquarius 30 to 19 Aquarius 15) Neptune Retrograded May 24 and Stations Direct on October 31 at 19 Aquarius 15.
- Pluto (26 Sagittarius 27 to 27 Sagittarius 03) Retrograded on March 31 at 28 Sagittarius 58 and Stationed Direct on September 7 at 26 Sagittarius 18.
- Chiron (10 Aquarius 36 to 10 Aquarius 30) Retrograded on May 21 at 15 Aquarius 41 and Stations Direct on October 20 at 10 Aquarius 28.
October Stars
Fomalhaut the royal fixed star that was involved in the August 28 Lunar Eclipse and the brightest star in Pisces Astrinus is appearing in the southeast this month. This star is worth noting as it will be giving a direct transmission especially as the North Node approaches Fomalhaut for an exact conjunction next month. Above and to the east of Fomalhaut is the large square or diamond shape of stars marking the Square of Pegasus.
Capella is the bright yellow star in the northeastern evening sky. It is the brightest star in the constellation Auriga, located in the upper left corner as you look at the constellation. You should see a small triangle of dim stars just to Capella's right. Capella has about the same surface temperature as the Sun and is about 100 times brighter than our Sun. However because Capella is about 46 light years (46X6 trillion miles) away it appears to us to be dimmer than our Sun.
Aldebaran is the orange-tinted star that you will see to the right of Capella, almost directly east. It is 64 light years away and is considered a red giant. Aldebaran is in a "V" of stars that represents the face of Taurus the Bull, called the Hyades. Aldebaran is the eye of that face. The Pleiades, the "Seven Sisters," is the group of young stars that you will see above Aldebaran. They are over 400 light years away. The Moon is visible near Aldebaran October 27 and 28.
The Orionid Meteor Shower lasts from October 2 to November 7 and peaks on October 21 during a time when the Moon sets after midnight.

Daily Timings
October 1, Monday. We begin this month with the Moon just past Aldebaran in the Lunar Standstill window at the Galactic Edge. The Moon is transmitting stellar and galactic codes coming in from beyond our galaxy giving us the tools to create outside the boundaries of our current reality. This is a key to knowing now is the time to co-create a New Earth form. Surrender to, and acceptance of, this birth process helps facilitate this transition. (See September 30.)
From September 18 to October 11, Jupiter is making its third pass within one degree of the Great Attractor. If you have planets, nodes, or angles between 12 and 16 degrees of Sagittarius, you have a direct link to the Great Attractor and the Jupiter activation that is activating your natal chart. This is the last pass Jupiter is making over this area for about 12 years.
Galactic Astrologer Philip Sedgwick has written a lot about The Great Attractor. He feels that certain people with the Great Attractor prominent in their natal chart are having a highly important impact on the planet. This includes impacting masses of people, often in subtle ways that they may not even be aware of yet. Also, these people seem to hold the key to universal knowing whether they know it or not, as the Great Attractor is a doorway to unseen dimensions. This is due to the Great Attractor’s massive gravitational force that seemingly bends the space-time continuum giving us an unexpected view to the back of the Universe. (See the June 2007 Archives and Philip's article http://www.philipsedgwick.com.)
Venus begins the month within 4 degrees of Regulus, moving into one degree of Regulus on October 6, is exact on October 7, and moving beyond six degrees by October 15. This is visible in the morning sky beforfe sunrise. (See September 2007 CT Archives.)
October 2, Tuesday. The Moon moves into Cancer crossing the Galactic Edge and meeting up with Mars (1 Cancer 20). Mars entered Cancer on September 28 and is preparing for a new quest that begins December 24, when Mars rises in the east opposite the Sun setting in the west. Grandmother Moon is helping Mars to prepare for a new quest, in part to discover the Divine Father within. This is Father as the safe, nurturing space; the compassionate, kind, generous, caring, and supportive Father whose greatest delight is celebrating the gift of his children in his life. This quest is also about healing any remaining wounds around the effects of experiencing a punishing, patriarchal Father that is never pleased or satisfied. This quest will last about 26 months and preparations are already underway.
October 3, Wednesday. Today is the Cancer Last Quarter Moon (10 Cancer) telling us the waning Moon will be rising around Midnight. Any last Quarter Moon represents a time to integrate the lessons learned from the old cycle and to let go of whatever does not serve healthy movement into the new cycle. This Cancer Last Quarter Moon (10 Cancer) is an excellent time for releasing any old feelings of shame and of not being good enough, and embracing the fact that we are divine children, and our very existence is a great gift. One way to do this is through the use of the Violet Flame. (See July 1, 16 and 18, 2007 Archives and October 2007 Intro.)
Also today, Venus (27 Leo) still near Regulus is again trine Pluto (27 Sagittarius) for the third time since July. This aspect supports the Divine Feminine in experiencing greater empowerment, first through dying to what is NOT in alignment with her authentic essence. This then helps bring to greater conscious knowing the pure expression of the Divine Feminine light codes within her DNA that catalyze unprecedented evolutionary growth.
October 4, Thursday. The Moon moves into Leo energizing a time for noticing how accepting you are of yourself and the circumstances of your life. Do you approve of who are? Do you love and celebrate who you are? What do you love about yourself? And are you confident of who you are and valuing how you are showing up in your life? If not, then it helps to know this is a key piece to fulfilling your divine destiny and is worthy of your healing attention, because healthy Leo knows their greatest gift to humanity is showing up in their radiant self-love while also inspiring others to do the same.
A mighty transformation is unfolding. The spiral is turning. Are you ready to serve the Call of your True Self? Remember Dear ones, to lovingly accept yourselves, to end your denials, to merge into the highest octave of yourselves possible. Then simply be. Your bright, shining spirits shall be as glowing beacons of Light upon this reborn sphere – illuminating all with deep joy and profound peace.
~The Legend of Altazar by the Hermit of the Crystal Cave
October 5, Friday. The Asteroid Vesta (24 Sagittarius) is moving to conjunct Pluto (26 Sagittarius) at Galactic Center exact on October 10. Vesta is the Goddess expression of the High Priestess behind the scenes that reminds us of the importance of honoring the sacred nature of life. Vesta is contacting the alchemical transformer Pluto at the center of the Galaxy. This alignment is like a ceremonial preparation for Jupiter’s month long contact with Pluto and Galactic Center in December. Being aware of the light codes beaming in from this area of the sky helps anchor the energies within our hearts and within the Earth. Vesta reminds us it is time to light the sacred fire within our hearts, honoring the Goddess as the Keeper of the Healing Flame.
This is a great time for working with the Violet Flame. You can use the Violet Fire decree in the Introduction to this month’s Timings or you can adjust the decree for this Timings as in the example below. .
I embody the Sacred Fire. I am the Love the Light requires.
(Repeat at least 9 times.)
October 6, Saturday. Venus is conjunct Regulus (28 Leo) exact tomorrow and in range until October 10. Plus, the Moon occults Regulus and is making its second conjunction with Venus since it rose as a Morning Star on August 24. This marks a powerful passage of the Queen of Heaven (a.k.a Inanna) through the second gate into the Underworld, where she gives up her measuring rod or staff, symbolizing her sixth chakra release, where Venus releases all the ways she no longer trusts her inner vision.
Accompanying this gateway, we also have the occultation of Regulus overseeing this initiatory process. This is an extremely rare alignment of aspects and occultations coming together. This expression of the eight-year Venus cycle only passes by Regulus three times for a window of about 40 years, and this window began in 1975. Plus, we have the 19-year Lunar Standstill synching with this Venus Retrograde over Regulus, meaning Regulus is being occulted at the same time the Moon is conjunct Venus near Regulus. Early tomorrow, Saturn is also being occulted, adding additional energy to this stunning stellar and planetary event. It may have been more than 200,000 years since all of these factors could have come together.
The magnitude of what this means is beyond our ability to fully comprehend and is something best experienced with open-hearted Awareness. That being said, there is also a sense of letting go of the old records or the old programs that have been running the Earth’s bio-computer for eons of time. We can participate with this by focusing our intention to release old DNA programs and co-create a new love-based operating system that is facilitating a harmonic recalibration with the incoming stellar and galactic light codes now providing greater access to the Hall of Records and our Divine Sovereignty.
October 7, Sunday. The Virgo Moon occults Saturn (4 Virgo) and then conjuncts the South Node (7 Virgo) while Venus returns to Virgo. Venus, Saturn and Regulus are forming a rare, tight triangle; and several hours before Sunrise (primarily in the Americas), the Crescent Moon is visible sitting inside the triangle. This is well worth observing in the early morning sky. This triangle of Venus, Saturn, and Regulus remains within a close 5-degree circle from October 9 to 13, though, of course, the Moon is only within the circle for a few hours.
Venus went Retrograde in Virgo on July 28 at about 3 Virgo and rose as a Morning Star at 22 Leo around August 24. Venus then went Direct in early September and has now returned to pass by the fixed royal Behenian star Regulus once again. Whenever a planet is within 6 degrees of a Behenian star, the energy of that star is greater. Saturn is currently within about 4 degrees of Regulus. It is important to remember that we inform the mysteries as much as they inform us; and when we are aware of what is occurring, and then we can consciously engage and help direct what is happening in the Great Above, as it relates to our So Below reality by aligning our intent with the unfolding Divine Will. This is the most effective way we can participate as co-creators of the New Earth. The mysteries of As Within, So Without remind us this is about uniting Heaven and Earth in a sacred marriage where we are living the integration of both simultaneously.
October 8, Monday. Mars (4 Cancer) sextiles Saturn (4 Virgo) supporting the Earth and her inhabitants in actively restructuring the old programs and Earth grids while also attuning them to the new vibrational energy that is in greater harmony with the overall divine plan.
Sun (15 Libra) sextiles Jupiter (15 Sagittarius) suggesting a time of integration for greater creative expression around the expanding Sagittarian Mysteries of this past year. Jupiter is most at home in the Sagittarius domain as it is about the ever expanding quest for truth and meaning. Sagittarius recognizes that truth changes as our consciousness and awareness expand and change. This is a great time to be checking in to see how your truth has changed this year and how it is continuing to change as you allow your awareness to be with whatever you are thinking and feeling.
This is greatly facilitated when we take time to breathe into our heart center and embrace the ALL of life. This is not about repressing or ignoring what we might judge as negative feelings, but rather, about embracing the polarities of light and dark, love and hate, kindness and cruelty etcetera. When we embrace it all with Awareness, then what is NOT true simply and easily falls away. (See October 31.)
October 9, Tuesday. Jupiter (15 Sagittarius) squares Uranus (15 Pisces) in this Libra New Moon window adding to the unpredictable nature of this New Moon energy. This is an opportunity to experience an expanded assemblage point shift that catalyzes radical change. It helps if we are embracing the unpredictable nature of these radical changes rather than trying to hold on to what is familiar and safe. For some this may feel crazy but when we are willing to risk being crazy, magical changes happen, as described in this anonymous quote:
Here's to the crazy ones,
the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers,
The round pegs in the square holes,
the ones who see things differently.
They're not fond of rules,
and they have no respect for the status quo.
You can quote them, disagree with them,
glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They push the human race forward.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones,
I see genius.
Because the ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.

October 10, Wednesday. Today is the annual Libra New Moon (17 Libra 30) marking a seed point around the mysteries of conscious equal partnership that begins with a healthy relationship to ourselves. A healthy relationship with self is founded on healthy self-love. Gay and Kathleen Hendricks describe the importance of self-love in their book, Conscious Loving,
True self-love is not conceit. Conceit is trying to prove to yourself and the world that you are all right, after you have become mired in self-hate. True self-love is an ongoing celebration of who you are no matter how well you perform. It is an ability to greet the dark parts of yourself with the same gracious embrace as you greet the light. Love draws no distinctions. It IS. Love exists outside the normal constraints of time and space. That is why love can heal something in a second that has been bothering you a decade. If you are angry or afraid, for example, and have never loved yourself for feeling that way, one moment of loving yourself for having those feelings can set you free. http://www.hendricks.com/default.asp
Asteroid Vesta (26 Sagittarius) is conjunct Pluto (26 Sagittarius) See October 5.
October 11, Thursday. Mercury Stations Retrograde (9 Scorpio) today and conjuncts the Sun on October 23 at 0 degrees Scorpio and goes Direct on November 1 at 23 degrees Libra near the fixed star Spica. Plus, the Moon moved into Scorpio late last night and will conjunct Mercury tomorrow in the evening sky, energizing the mysteries of alchemical transformation through life, death, and rebirth. Scorpio reminds us to connect to our heart’s passion and what feels most alive, joyous, and energized.
Scorpio explores the benefits of death and dying to what no longer serves. What beliefs, ideas, concepts, habits, and attitudes can we transform (die to) to support the fullest connection to passionate, alive, life force energy? Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio emphasizes the passionate experience of the mind designed to take us deeper and farther than we have ever gone before, when we are willing to surrender and walk the edges of new ways of thinking and processing information. (See more about Mercury Retrograde on the Articles page.)
October 12, Friday. Moon conjuncts Retrograde Mercury (9 Scorpio) and Sun (19 Libra 21) trines Retrograde Neptune (19 Aquarius 21) suggesting this is a great time for receiving key insights and visions on what is seeking change in our reality and how we can then assist that change through our choices and actions. Whenever an outer planet (with the exception of Mars) trines the Sun, it means the planet has either just gone Retrograde or is just about to go Direct and is nearly stopped in the sky. The Sun trine Neptune signals the Direct Station of Neptune on October 29 at 19 Aquarius 14 moving only 7 minutes over the next two and half weeks.
This means we are in the Still Point window of the Neptune cycle. Intuitive guidance is now far more reliable than logic and reason. Neptune operates in the Celestial Realms beyond the ordinary experience of logical and rational reality. This is a realm where true miracles and magic occur when we let go and really trust our inner guidance no matter how illogical it may seem.
October 13, Saturday. Venus conjuncts Saturn (5 Virgo) both very near the South Node (6 Virgo) reminding us that the biological circuitry of Earth has been undergoing a massive recalibration over the past few years creating an enormous quantum level shift in the vibrational signature of the Earth and all who dwell on her. We are in a time of accelerated change and transformation intended to take us into a whole new dimension and way of being.
It is important to be gentle and caring toward ourselves and each other as we continue to experience this vibrational shift. Taking time to tune into the emerging changes within the Earth Grid (or web of life), as well as our own changes, helps us to navigate what might feel like disorienting times. We may feel our personal energy and/or our life situations are fluctuating as the old patterns are up leveled to a new more efficient operating system. This is the time for tuning into inner guidance about how to participate in ways that ease these changes through prayer, or meditation, or ceremony, or whatever way works best for you.
On October 15 Venus will conjunct the South Node (6 Virgo) and on October 22 Saturn will conjunct the South Node (5 Virgo). This encounter of Venus with Saturn near the South Node is an opportunity to complete with things of the past that no longer serve while also noting what wisdom from the past supports forward movement toward our destiny. This suggests a High Priestess council has convened to determine the best way to hold the space for the sacred changes already in motion.
October 14, Sunday. The Moon moves into Sagittarius and is visible approaching Antares tonight. This Moon conjunction with Antares is paving the way for the final occultation this year of the Moon over Antares on November 11. (See May 26, 2007 Archives.) http://www.aao.gov.au/images/captions/uks030.html
The Moon in Sagittarius is transmitting the mysteries that expand our Awareness of the quest for knowing the truth of who we are and expanding our experience to its widest possible expression. The truth changes as our understanding and vibration change. What was true for you a few years ago, a few weeks ago, a few days ago, or even a few moments ago, may not be what is true for you now, or what will be true for you tomorrow. Abraham agrees, saying,
Everything that has ever been lived, everything that has ever been written down or documented, has been vibration first. Everything has been conjured in vibration first before it manifests. So if something has manifested and you continue to give it your attention, the fact that it is true should really hold no weight with you. The question that we would ask is not, is it true, or is it undeniable? The question that we would ask is, “how does it make you feel when you focus upon it?” And if the answer to the question is, “it doesn't make me feel very good when I focus upon it,” then we would say, true or not, it does not serve you. And if you will activate a different part of your vibration--the "truth" will shift. –Abraham http://www.abraham-hicks.com/index.php?i=1 March 28, 2002
October 15, Monday. The Moon conjuncts Jupiter (16 Sagittarius) exact at 9:30 p.m. EDT and 6:30 a.m. PDT. Therefore, tonight is the best time to observe the Moon and Jupiter near each other. Plus, Jupiter has only moved about 5 degrees away from Antares and 2 degrees beyond the central point of the Great Attractor. (See October 1.) The Moon transmits and Jupiter magnifies the transmission from this area of the sky. This is worth visually connecting with when possible as it enhances our experience of these energies. (See October 18.)
The North Node is coming into range of the fixed star Fomalhaut (marking the mouth of the Southern Fish in Piscis Austrinus and will in range until mid-December. This is further activating the Lunar Eclipse degree (4 Pisces) of August 28.
The Royal Stars have been traditionally linked with monumental change whenever the Solstice or Equinox points have aligned with them. Aldebaran marked the zero Aries point in 3044 BC, Antares marked zero Libra 3052 BC, Fomalhaut marked zero Capricorn, 2582 BC, Regulus marked zero Cancer 2345 BC. These Royal Stars are again alerting us to the monumental changes we are already experiencing. In August, all four Royal Stars were activated. Fomalhaut was featured in the August 28 Lunar Eclipse, also that month, Mars was with Aldebaran, Venus and Saturn were with Regulus, and Jupiter Stationed Direct with Antares.
October 16, Tuesday. Once each month, the Moon joins Pluto (26 Sagittarius) at Galactic Center, calling our attention to the importance of embracing and transforming our fear. Fear is often a direct result of our addictions or attachments to outcome. When we become aware of being in fear due to attachments to the way we think we want things to be, we don’t have to try and change our desire; but rather, shift the desire from an addiction to a preference. When we are attached to what others do or don’t do, it can generate unconscious fear that we will be disappointed or hurt or betrayed.
Pluto teaches that Life is what it IS. We do not have control over what others do or even what the planet does. So when we can come from the flexibility of what we prefer, without being attached to the results, then it is much easier to go with the flow of what is happening especially when it is beyond our control anyway. What we do have control over is our response and when we are responding to life by accepting what IS, we move out of resistance and stop giving energy to what we fear. Amazingly, this awareness is the catalyst that allows our fear to disappear. In essence, this is about getting ourselves out of the way by surrendering to what IS and allowing Spirit to move through us and guide our lives. (See October 17 and 18.)
October 17, Wednesday. The Lunar Standstill Moon moves into Capricorn crossing the Galactic Gateway near the center of our Milky Way Galaxy. This is a release point or a place of dying to the old energies and the old forms and making room for new energies and new forms that are literally beaming in from the Galactic Core and being amplified by the Moon. The Moon is a transmitter and is transmitting new codes of light directly to the Earth three days each month. Today is the center point of that transmission. (See October 16 and 18.)
October 18, Thursday. Jupiter (17 Sagittarius) is about to join Pluto (26 Sagittarius) at Galactic Center for the entire month of the December. When we consider the renewal of magical possibilities ignited through Jupiter’s time with Antares and the Great Attractor, and all that has been gathered from them during this past year, we get a sense of the magnitude of what Jupiter is bringing to this meeting with Pluto who is the transformational alchemist. The wizardry of this combination is worth pondering especially when we consider it has probably been nearly 3,000 years since Pluto and Jupiter have joined each other at Galactic Center a.k.a. Hunab Ku.
The Mayans considered Hunab Ku to be the ultimate creator and conscious principle that organizes all matter in the manifest creation. They believed that Hunab Ku or Galactic Center constantly gives birth to new stars and planets as well as being the portal or gateway to other galaxies beyond ours. They also believed everything that happens in our Galaxy comes from the center through cyclical energy waves or bursts. Scientists are now concluding that Galactic Center is not only consuming huge amounts of matter but it is also giving birth to stars and other celestial phenomenon as well. http://www.aztlan.net/rumblings_center_galaxy.htm
Plus, we have had the monthly transmissions from the Lunar Standstill Moon meeting with Jupiter, Pluto and Galactic Center. This is combining a 19-year cycle (Moon) with a 12-year cycle (Jupiter) and a 248-year cycle (Pluto) at Galactic Center. That means it has probably been about 57,000 years since these cycles could have all come together at one time. And there is an additional factor going beyond the mind’s ability to fully comprehend the magnitude of this timeframe when we include the alignment of the Winter Solstice Sun near Galactic Center. This is an event that can only happen for about 144 years every 26,000 years and that is happening now. This tells us we are looking at a unique Timing that perhaps has not ever come together in this way before. The question many are asking is, “What in the world does this mean?”
Certainly we can gather that this is an exceptionally rare time. The key here isn’t so much about knowing what it means specifically because meaning and experience depends upon individual context. However, when we consider that Galactic Center was central to Mayan cosmology as well as Egyptian, and many other ancient cultures, we know we are in a time of transformative alchemy that reaches beyond galactic proportions. What this cosmology is reflecting is a confirmation regarding what the prophecies and channeled information are telling us. What it means depends upon how we engage the energies, because we inform the mysteries as much as they inform us, and we are co-creating the New Heaven and the New Earth through our thoughts, words, and actions.
October 19, Friday. This Capricorn First Quarter Moon (25 Capricorn) also features Retrograde Mercury (5 Scorpio) sextile Saturn (5 Virgo). The First Quarter Moon represents a rapid growth acceleration of what was seeded in some earlier cycle. So, this is a time for taking decisive action. Of all the mystery schools, healthy Capricorn understands and utilizes the most effective and efficient pathways for manifesting Spirit into form. The underlying principle of Capricorn that maybe useful to remember as we revision and recreate the structure of our world can be summed up in this saying from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi of the Transcendental Meditation movement, “Do Less and Accomplish More!” This is a time for answering the question, “How can our thoughts, words and actions produce the greatest, most efficient and effective results possible when we truly understand the creative process that allows us to do less and accomplish more. Then there is the ultimate creative process where we learn how to do nothing and accomplishing everything. That is when we know we have returned to the place of being master creators on the wheel of life.
October 20, Saturday. Chiron goes Direct today at (10 Aquarius 28) and the Moon occults Retrograde Neptune (19 Aquarius) in the early morning hours after Midnight tonight. This calls forth deep healing into our dreamtime experience especially as it relates to the Aquarian ideals of living freedom beyond the rules of the current culture that seek to control, limit and restrict the human experience. Innovative, unusual and often way ahead of its time, the Aquarian energies question old restrictive systems for the purpose of gaining insight into new experiences of expanded states of awareness. Chiron brings healing energy to any lingering wounds from the old paradigm, and Neptune brings new visions of possibilities for the New Earth experience. Doing something completely unexpected outside of old routines and patterns helps shift the neural net or old assemblage point and supports us in experiencing greater freedom of being. (See October 22.)
October 21, Sunday. The Moon moves into Pisces energizing the mysteries of inspired dreaming through the conscious use of our imagination. Consciously choosing where we focus our thoughts and dreaming energies is key to the co-creative process. Healthy Pisces serves the divine through compassionate sacred service and inner intuitive listening that observes cues from the external world, but is ultimately acting from an inner place of knowing.
Mars has also moved within 6 degrees of being zodiacally conjunct the Behenian Star Sirius. Due to the Mars Retrograde in November, Mars will remain within 6 degrees of Sirius until about December 10 and then will return to make a final pass after Mars goes Direct at the end of January. This is a great time to visually connect with Mars and Sirius in the Evening Sky, although Mars does not appear near Sirius due to its location below the ecliptic, meaning Mars is appearing much higher in the sky than Sirius. (See October 30.)
Orionid meteor shower peaks tonight.
October 22, Monday. The Moon is occulting Uranus (15 Pisces 13) creating another opportunity to shift the old assemblage point or old established patterns in our personal and planetary neural net revolutionizing our experience of this reality. One way to engage this is to make a few purposeful changes in our daily routine.
Some simple ways to shift your routine are to sit in a different chair, rearrange your furniture, drive a different way to the store, or work, or school, or where ever you might be going. Or you might try walking backwards for a few paces, sleeping on different side of the bed, trying a different form of exercise, or try something you have never tried before. The idea is to change your perspective in whatever way is easy, fun and effective. Be creative and trust that you are helping to facilitate your own personal assemblage point shift that will help you to experience greater freedom of being.
Tomorrow is the exact Saturn South Node conjunction (5 Virgo 45). This is about shedding old ways, beliefs and concepts that have limited and restricted our sacred connection with the Divine. Completing with these old patterns and constructs opens the way to genuinely experience new, innovative, and creative structures now being established in the world of form. We have been in a time that has been about deconstructing the old DNA, the old operating manual, the old programs, much like a snake shedding the old skin it has outgrown. It may help to remember that snakes feel irritable and cranky during the shedding process so it is important to be gentle with ourselves as we release the old and make room for what is new.
October 23, Tuesday. The Sun Moves into Scorpio and conjuncts Retrograde Mercury (0 Scorpio 49) then Mercury returns to Libra. The passion and intensity of the Scorpio mysteries are heightened as the Sun and Mercury join at the edge of the Scorpio domain. Edgewalking is a favorite Scorpio activity that explores unchartered territory particularly in the realm of the feelings. The Right Use of Will by Ceanne DeRohan is a kind of Scorpio manual that recognizes the importance of giving ourselves permission to feel what we feel, in a safe way, no matter how scary those feelings are.
This book describes the split that occurred between Will and Spirit. Will is described as our feelings including the entire range of our feelings. The split between Will and Spirit happened when a belief was adopted that certain feelings (or Will) were not acceptable. This led to the repression of what was judged as “bad” feelings and that led to a split between our conscious and unconscious knowing.
Then the shadow of these repressed feelings began to grow. Right Use of Will points out that, …the Will of God is not in opposition to the Will of the individual… This means that when our Will is healthy and all our feelings are embraced, then we are automatically aligned with Divine Will and there is no conflict or experience of separation.
The fastest way to heal and evolve the Will according to The Right Use of Will is to “express everything you feel, and do not stop expressing, emotionally or otherwise, until you have really finished. You must not impose this on others that do not want it, for just as it is not spiritual balance to deny yourself in favor of others, it is not spiritual balance to deny others in favor of yourself either…”
Intentionally giving ourselves the mission to explore and accept our feelings, while responsibly finding ways to go deeper than ever before, no matter how scary or intense, creates a space for unprecedented healing and life force to flow into our being, facilitating orgasmic ecstatic growth.
October 24, Wednesday. Today opens the Taurus Full Moon Window that is exact tomorrow. Taurus knows life is meant to be pleasurable and fun. This happens naturally when we are fully integrated with all our feelings through our willingness to be aware of what we are feeling. (See October 23 and 31.) This happens more easily when we relax, breathe deeply, and release all the “should’s” and ways of being that keep us caught up in Doing rather than Being.
October 25, Thursday. Tonight is the Fullest rise of the Taurus Full Moon (2 Taurus 23) at 9:51 Pacific or 12:51 Eastern and Venus (15 Virgo) is opposite Uranus (15 Pisces) suggesting another unusual vibrational shift in the Earth Grid bringing the Earth back into alignment with the harmonic of the Garden of Earthly Delight, only this time without the Fall. This shift is greatly facilitated by our focused intention on the power of pure love. Loving ourselves and loving the Earth and loving each other helps to fuel miracles of change, including brilliantly innovative, technological advances lovingly aligned with the divine design of the Earth.
The Taurus Full Moon reminds us that being open to receive and allow for love-directed miracles to occur in our lives increases our chances of experiencing them on a consistent basis.
October 26, Friday. Messenger Mercury (27 Libra) is sextile Pluto (27 Sagittarius) further bringing to our awareness the dark night of the soul or the places within us that have been forgotten or denied usually because of fear. When we can embrace the All of ourselves, especially the parts we judge as bad, with awareness, love, and acceptance, then we find ourselves magically transformed and empowered in new ways beyond anything we have previously experienced.
October 27, Saturday. The now waning Full Moon is moving into Gemini and is visible tonight approaching the royal star Aldebaran, the Eye of the Bull. This area of the sky located along the Milky Way was seen by ancient cultures as the Silver Gate where souls enter this dimensional realm. Aldebaran is a stargate portal that was considered the key to the Silver Gate resting in the Hand of Orion. The Silver Gate was of great interest to the Egyptians and to the ancient Irish who predated the Celtic tribes.
October 28, Sunday. Today opens the Lunar Standstill window exact tomorrow and Venus (18 Virgo) is at greatest elongation (46.5 degrees form the Sun) meaning she has stretched as far away from the Sun as possible in this cycle as a Morning Star. With the Moon at its maximum declination and Venus at its greatest elongation, the Great Above is reminding us that we are outside the boundaries of ordinary reality. (See October 29)
Venus at maximum elongation in this Morning Star appearance symbolizes her reaching or stretching into new areas of the Leo Divine Feminine expression that Venus is currently investigating. Venus in the sign of Virgo is also bringing to this Leo Queen the sacred mysteries of the High Priestess. Venus has now stretched as far as she can away from the Source, represented by the Sun. During the synodic cycles of Venus there are two times when she connects with the Sun and two times when she reaches greatest elongation (once in the morning sky and once in the evening sky). This stretch effect lasts for at least a week before and after today’s exact date.
It might be helpful to notice how you are being stretched in your relationship to the Divine Feminine as she explores her royal expression through the archetype of the High Priestess. This is especially important for anyone turning a multiple of eight (i.e. 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 72, 80, 88, 96, etc) between August 24, 2007, and April 3, 2009, as this is a feature of your 8-year Venus return cycle. This is a time for asking if you are allowing yourself to be stretched toward new insights and inspiration or if you are holding back and attempting to stay with what you have always known?
Retrograde Mercury is conjunct Spica within 2.8 degrees. Starlight Elixirs and Cosmic Vibrational Healing by Michael Smulkis and Fred Rubenfeld http://hilarion.com/stars.html indicates that Spica has the ability to transfer awareness from the super conscious to the waking conscious mind and that Spica can also enhance lucid dreaming states and psychic abilities. Spica strengthens the physical body in the cervical vertebrae of the spine, the physical location in the body symbolizing the separation of body and mind. So Spica creates an interchange between the separated selves assisting in the remembrance that there is ultimately no separation. Thus, Spica helps to bring the principle of oneness more fully into our conscious minds. (See September 2007 Archives.)
October 29, Monday. The Moon enters Cancer crossing the Galactic Edge in the center point of the Lunar Standstill window. This is the most northern extreme rising and setting of the Moon for the Northern Hemisphere and most southern rising and setting extreme for the Southern Hemisphere in its 19-year cycle. This means the Moon is outside the boundaries of the maximum distance the Sun can rise at these points taking us outside the boundaries of ordinary reality. This is happening in the area of the sky most connected to the Silver Gate. (See January 2007 Archives.)
The Silver Gate is currently being activated monthly by the Moon. The Moon is transmitting codes of energy and information coming from beyond our Galaxy. These codes are intended to support the vibrational shift of all life on Earth and the Earth herself. All of 2007 we are continuing to experience these incoming inter-galactic frequencies from beyond the bounds of our previously known reality during the three days each month when the Moon is crossing this doorway to other galactic realms.
Venus (19 Virgo) is still near her greatest elongation and is squaring Jupiter (19 Sagittarius) suggesting Venus is receiving a renewal of vision concerning her sacred expression as a radiant and shining one who completely loves who she is and loves to be in service to Spirit.
Sun (6 Scorpio) sextiles Saturn (6 Virgo) reminding us that Saturn will remain in Direct motion until December 19, so this is a great time for forward movement and progress, when we have a clear direction in mind that we are passionately committed to furthering.
Jupiter (19 Sagittarius) sextiles Neptune (19 Aquarius) expanding our awareness of the Truth in each moment. This is especially true when we learn how to naturally maintain our moment-to-moment Awareness, accepting what IS without a need to change it or make it be different. Osho has this to say about the truth in the Book of Secrets,
Truth is always here. It is already the case. It is not something to be achieved in the future. You are the truth just here and now, so it is not something to be created or something which is to be devised or something to be sought…The truth is in the present, and mind is always in the future or in the past, so there is no meeting between mind and truth.
This reminds us that the mind cannot possibly know it all and the pure truth exists beyond what the mind can fully comprehend. Therefore, the actual truth is something we experience beyond the mind or beyond what we can know with our minds. The truth is an in the moment, whole-being experience.
October 30, Tuesday. The Moon is conjunct Mars (11 Cancer) during this gestation phase of the new Mars cycle that will begin December 24, 2007. The Sacred Masculine Mars principle is meeting in council with Grandmother Moon to receive wise instruction on what decisive action will best support acts of daily self-care that nurture and support a healthy life expression.
This meeting is also taking place near the fixed star Sirius (14 Cancer) marking the Eye of the Greater Dog in the constellation of Canis Major. Sirius is the brightest fixed star in the sky, visible in both the northern and southern hemispheres unless you happened to be living north of 72 degrees latitude. Sirius is also considered to be the vertex star of the Winter Triangle that includes the fixed stars Procyon in Canis Minor and Betelgeuse in Orion.
Sirius is often referred to as the Dog Star, also known as the “bright shining one,” and is a star that moves consciousness through changing vibration. As one of the 15 Behenian stars (a.k.a. magical stars), its energies are greatly heightened whenever a planet is within 6 degrees. Mars is within 6 degrees of Sirius from October 20 to December 10; and then due to its Retrograde, comes back into 6 degrees on March 26, 2008, remaining in the 6-degree range until April 21, 2008. Sirius is known for its ability to assist with physical healing and transformation especially when the Moon and Mars are there to activate and amplify these energies.
October 31, Wednesday. The Moon re-enters Leo for the second time this month. (See October 4.) Plus, Neptune (19 Aquarius) Stations Direct. A planetary Station either Direct or Retrograde is an in-between-the-worlds space that can feel confusing and unsettling as it taps into the Still Point where everything and nothing exists together. With Neptune in Aquarius the archetypal Celestial Realm is where this Still Point is occurring. This is the dreaming energy that exists outside the rules of ordinary reality. Unique, innovative, and ahead of its time, the Aquarian energies break down old restrictive systems for the purpose of breaking through to new experiences of expanded states of Awareness.
Awareness is the key, the miracle, the magic that transforms our reality. There is a wonderful U-tube video of Osho talking about Awareness. He says it doesn’t matter what you feel. It doesn’t matter if it is love or hate or indifference. The key is to feel it with Awareness. This removes the need to judge or change how we are feeling.
Osho urges us to experience all life with Awareness including our anger, hurt, guilt, hate, jealousy, love, compassion and kindness. It is not about getting rid of, or changing, our “negative” feelings. It is not about making them be different in anyway. It is about being willing to experience all of our feelings, positive or negative with Awareness.
Osho says that whatever we experience with Awareness that is not of our essential nature will simply disappear, because it was never real anyway. When we resist our anger, guilt, shame, fear, etc. and try to change it, get rid of it, make it be different than what it is, then we actually give it more energy. When we simply observe our feelings with Awareness, they will either deepen if they are an expression of who we are, or they will disappear if they are not.
Awareness is the magical key that easily and automatically allows our true essence to deepen. Love deepens with Awareness. Anger and hate disappear with Awareness. It is that simple. Osho also reminds us that we are the only one who can find what is right for ourselves, and we do this by keeping the thread of Awareness running through all that we do. One way to practice being Aware is to notice your breath. Just notice…and that brings your Awareness to the present moment.
