This is one of the last writings that Debby Joy ever did and captures the essence of who she was and how she lives on in our hearts.
Once a very very long time ago there was a Princess of Magic. Why was she a Princess of magic?
Because she knew Love.
She knew love was the most powerful thing. She knew that loved lived almost everywhere in almost everything and almost everyone. She knew the love in her green, green planet. She loved the Earth and she knew it loved her. There was love in the leaves of the plants and trees; love in the rocks and rivers and lakes and sand. She knew that the trees and the air and the sky helped her breathe. The storms gave rain or snow or water to give her something to drink.
The whole world was growing from the water and the Sunshine. Her sunflowers were growing. Her food was growing from her garden and other gardens would have food for their stores. She knew some animals had love and some people had hearts of love and she knew lots of children had lots of love.
She knew the world was good and gave her a lot to help with and enjoy. She liked her little pony and helped give it food and water. She liked swimming in her pond and there she would go....

Writing the February Celestial Timings with Mercury going retrograde in the sign of my own Mercury has been an interesting test of acceptance and patience that continues from my experiences last month. My mind is not entirely happy that time and circumstances did not allow me sufficient time to edit this month’s Celestial Timings. My heart knowing is this offering is exactly what it needs to be at this time. My hope is if and when you find yourself noticing a greater number of typos and places that still need editing that it acts as a reminder to smile and know in your heart we are all connected as I will be noticing them too and reminding myself to do the same!!!
Visible Planets (These are the highlights for this month with more details and 
interpretations shared in the Daily Timings)
- Sun reaches the astrological cross-quarter of 15 Aquarius on Feb 3.
- Mercury begins the month stationary direct at 21 Capricorn and reaches greatest elongation in morning sky on Feb 13. Mercury and Jupiter may be visible side by side in the morning sky before sunrise similar to their evening star appearance at the end of December.
- Venus is still near her maximum height and brightness in the evening sky as February begins and then she begins to drop lower toward the western horizon. and Moon joins Venus on Feb 27.
- Mars is still within 15 degrees of the Sun continuing the underworld phase of the Mars Journey until March. Mercury Mars and Jupiter are in tight triangle in the morning sky though not easily visible due to closeness with the Sun.
- Jupiter moved into Aquarius on January 5 and conjuncts Mercury and the North Node this month.
- Saturn rises earlier and is brightening in the evening sky and is moving toward opposition to the Sun in March meaning Saturn will then rise as the Sun sets. Saturn is still located in the constellation of the Lion.
- Moon begins this month in Aries and ends it in Taurus. Feb 3 the Moon occults the Pleiades (29 Taurus to 0 Gemini) for the second time this year visible in Alaska Northern Canada, Greenland and Iceland. Moon occults Antares in early morning sky on Feb17 visible in Australia and Asia and Moon occults Mercury on Feb 22 at 9 Aquarius visible in Japan, Russia and Alaska.

- Uranus (19 Pisces 15 to 20 Pisces 25) stations retrograde July 1, 2009 at 26 Pisces 37 and will station direct at 22 Pisces 42 on December 1, 2009. Uranus (24 Pisces) opposes the Sun (24 Virgo) on Sep 17.
- Neptune (22 Aquarius 27 to 23 Aquarius 29) stations retrograde May 28/29 at 26 Aquarius 29 and stations direct on November 4, 2009 at 23 Aquarius 42. Neptune (25 Aquarius) opposes the Sun (25 Leo) on August 17.
- Pluto (00 Capricorn 09 to 1 Capricorn 14) stations retrograde April 4, 2009 (03 Capricorn 18) and stations direct November 4 at 00 Capricorn 39 on September 11. Pluto (2 Capricorn) opposes the Sun (2 Cancer) June 23.

APPROACHING COMET: Comet Lulin (C/2007 N3), discovered in 2007 by a collaborative team of Taiwanese and Chinese astronomers, is swinging around the sun and approaching Earth. The photogenic comet has a bright tail and an "anti-tail" visible in mid-sized backyard telescopes. At closest approach in February, Comet Lulin is expected to brighten to naked-eye visibility. Stars worth noting in the Night Sky this Month
This month Procyon and Sirius are the two bright stars in the eastern sky after Sunset. Sirius is the brightest fixed star in our night sky shining brightly this time of year above the Eastern Horizon after Sunset. Procyon (11 light years from Earth) is the star known as "before the dog" rising just before the Dog
star Sirius (8 light years from Earth). Look for Sirius to the lower left of the three stars of Orion's belt. Also prominent is the bright red star known as Betelguese marking the shoulder of Orion. All three stars, Procyon, Sirius and Betelguese form a perfect equilateral triangle known to some cultures as Heaven’s Gate 
where souls enter this dimension.
Look for the Zodiacal Light about an hour or two after sunset on clear moonless nights this month and next. The zodiacal light is a faint, glow seen in the night sky near where the Sun sets along the ecliptic (path the planets follow) or zodiacal constellations. If there is bright Moonlight or light pollution you won’t see it.

Daily Timings
Feb 01, Sunday. This month begins with the Moon moving into Taurus transmitting the mysteries of pleasure, beauty, intimacy and receivership while Messenger Mercury is Stationary Direct at 21 Capricorn. The direct station of Mercury lasts for several days before and after the exact station point giving us greater access to the magical mysteries of magician Mercury in this still point where we can peak behind the veil and see how the magic is created. This is not a time when things will work logically or rationally so it is important to be open to how the magic is revealing itself.
Also worth noting is the emphasis on the Aquarian themes this month with as many as 8 planets and asteroids lining up in Aquarius at one time. The seasons are determined by the location of the Sun in relationship to the Earth. The seasonal sign of Aquarius is marked by the lengthening days that begins 30 days after the Winter Solstice. Over 26,000 years every seasonal sign overlays every constellation and currently when the Sun is in the season or time of year we call Aquarius it is traveling through the constellation of the Goatfish (a.k.a. Capricorn). (See article on the Difference between Signs and Constellations)
Astronomers and astrologers alike are challenged to understand that Signs and Constellations are two totally different things. Below is an example from Marcus Manilius a first century Roman astrologer and poet who wrote five books called Astronomica. These books provide a sense of how the constellations were viewed about two thousand years ago. This passage is describing a view of the Goatfish or Capricorn when the season of Winter or sign of Capricorn overlaid this constellation in the first century:
In her shrine Vesta tends your fires, Capricorn {Goatfish}: and from her you derive your skills and callings…You also give a fondness for clothes and wares which dispel the cold, since your lot falls for all time in winter's season, wherein you shorten the nights you have brought to their greatest length and give birth to a new year by enlarging the daylight hours….
[Astronomica, Manilius, 1st century AD, book 4, p.241.]
This description was derived from the seasonal experience of the Winter Solstice when it resided in this constellation. What Manilius did NOT understand is the Winter Solstice does not always fall in the constellation of the Goatfish “for all time in winter’s season” as he describes above. In fact, the Winter Solstice now resides at the Galactic Cross between the Archer and the Scorpion (see star map below) and the season of Aquarius now overlays the Goatfish. This means that when we reach the seasonal time of year we call Aquarius when the days are growing longer and are moving toward Spring (in the Northern hemisphere) the Sun is traveling through the constellation of the Goatfish and is NO longer traveling through the constellation that has been traditionally associated with Aquarius known as the Waterbearer.
This change is due to what is called the precession of Solstices and Equinoxes through the zodiacal constellations and is the mechanism that causes our myths and symbols to change with time. And it is this difference between the Signs and Constellations that causes so much confusion and misunderstanding. The confusion originated when the reality of precession was forgotten in the dark ages and at that time the signs and constellations were mistakenly named the same names.
This means that the signs for the seasons were named the same names as the constellations and that is the core reason there is so much confusion in the astrological and astronomical world today. In fact it is this issue that fuels the main differences between sidereal and tropical astrologers. Shamanic Astrology understands this difference and is incorporating the changes into our current view of the archetypes as they are undergoing a rapid evolutionary change. This issue when properly understood explains why we are at an even more vital Turning of the Ages than what some are calling the Age of Aquarius. What we are experiencing is far bigger! Feb 02, Monday. In addition to Ground Hog Day this is a time that is also traditionally celebrated as Candlemas (festival of lights) or Imbolc marking the cross-quarter between Solstice and Equinox that is exact when the Sun reaches 15 Aquarius exact tomorrow. The Celts regarded this cross-quarter time as the Feast Day of the Goddess Brigit or Brighid. She was a Celtic goddess of fire, the hearth, the fields, poetry, marriage and childbirth. Remnant of her influence are still evident because to this day women share an aspect of her name (Bride) when they marry. The season of Imbolc was a time to extinguish the old ceremonial fires and light new ones in honor of the returning light and lengthening days. In some parts of the world, winter is loosening its hold and the seeds are stirring, breaking free of their shells, and showing signs of growth. This also reminds us that the seeds planted deep within ourselves are also stirring.
Interestingly today is the Taurus First Quarter Moon (14 Taurus) very near the exact astrological Cross-Quarter. When the Sun reaches 15 Taurus in May we have the Beltane Cross-Quarter point and that is where the Moon is located today. This means we have the Sun at the Imbolc Cross-quarter and the Moon at the Beltane Cross-Quarter magnifying the cross-quarter energies that are also known for opening portals between the worlds. This is a powerful time to receive additional insights, inspiration and even future knowledge.
The First Quarter Moon represents a time of accelerated growth as the Moon rapidly gains in light over the next few nights moving toward the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on February 9. This is an important time to express genuine gratitude for all the gifts of life we already enjoy further opening the doorway to the mysteries of true receivership already within our hearts. Genuine feelings of gratitude attract more for us to be grateful for fulfilling the natural sacred circuit of giving and receiving.
Venus moves into Aries crossing the Spring Equinox marker in the sky in the constellation known as the Fish (a.k.a Pisces). Venus goes retrograde next month and stays in Aries until June 5 except for a short re-entry into Pisces in April. As Venus moves through Aries she is also reclaiming her independent Amazon Warrior Wild Woman self who does not need anyone to help define who she is. She knows herself through her own authentic experience of herself and life. She knows herself through her dedicated commitment to the further the causes she supports. She is spirited, adventurous, spontaneous, and treasures her sovereignty.
Feb 03, Tuesday. The Moon occults the Pleiades as it moves into Gemini illuminating the mysteries that take us beyond ordinary reality, beyond the limiting rules of this dimension, beyond rational and linear thought processes. This is the domain of the coyote trickster who encourages us to let go of pre-conceived ideas and beliefs and reminds us things are not as real as they appear. Passing through the Sacred Hoop of stars over the next few days the Moon is approaching Aldebaran, the eye of the Bull tonight, and by tomorrow night it will appear just beyond Aldebaran. In some cultures Aldebaran was considered the all-seeing “eye of god” and marked the key to the silver gate where souls descend into this reality.
Feb 04, Wednesday. Mars moves into Aquarius until March 14 and catches up to the asteroid Juno on Feb 11 and 12, to Jupiter on Feb 16 and Mercury catches up to Mars on March 1. Then Mars catches up to Chiron and Neptune later in March. Every two years Mars brings its powerful catalytic energy to the Aquarius realm actively engaging the quantum leaps in conscious awareness and change that are coming to us through these planetary energies as they assist Earth in integrating the new biological light codes or frequencies that will eventually phase out the old electromagnetic spectrum and consciousness grid – and phase in an entirely new upgraded system. Mars is an active force engaging this powerful vibrational assemblage point shift that symbolizes the ultimate Aquarian conspiracy towards massive paradigm shifts in consciousness and awareness.
When we consider the uniqueness of this Timing and the destined coming together of Mars in a two year cycle with Jupiter in a twelve year cycle and the North Node in is 19 year cycle along with all the other Aquarian energies that are converging this month we know these alignments are assisting in preparing the way for even more powerful Aquarian initiations taking place all this year and in particular come May and June when Jupiter Neptune and Chiron all station around 26 Aquarius taking us ever deeper into these radically transformative energies.
Feb 05, Thursday. The Moon moves into Cancer crossing the Galactic Cross at the Galactic Edge. Saturn is opposite Uranus and Venus is Square Pluto. The energies today with the out-of-bounds Moon (reaching beyond ordinary reality) are creating an additional trigger point to the Venus Pluto square exact today. This combination accelerates the disintegration and annihilation of current shadowed structures that deplete the Earth and all who live here. Pluto excavates these shadowed forms and the powerful Venus in Aries Warrior Goddess energy fights to right any wrongs and to establish the cause of freedom and justice for all.
Today also marks the second exact Saturn Uranus opposition. The first one occurred on the day that Obama was elected the 44th president of the United States of America and a wave of inspiration, hope and joy spread across the planet setting the new template for the New Earth. Uranus breaks up the crystallization of the old forms so that new evolutionary growth can occur. The more resistant to the changes we are the more dramatic and intense the process is. The more open and accepting we are the more liberating and freeing the process feels.
Feb 06, Friday. All this month we have a planetary Convergence with the North Node around the fixed star Armus also known as the Heart of the Goat. Jupiter, Mars, Juno, Mercury and the North Node are all within range of Armus (12 Aquarius 44). The energy of this heart star is being expanded by Jupiter all of February and into March with an exact zodiacal alignment on February 28.
The ancient Greek astronomer Ptolemy felt this star was related to the energies of Venus and Mars. One way to look at this is to say the heart of the Goat connects with the heart of the Divine Feminine and the heart of the Divine Masculine expression as they learn to engage in conscious equal partnership as symbolized by Juno. Feb 07, Saturday. Moon moves into Leo and also reaches perigee (closest approach to Earth meaning the tides are higher at this time and the nearly Full Moon looks bigger at it rises). It also suggests that the light of the Moon is closer and so the transmissions coming through now are more brilliant than usual. This is fitting for the nearly Full Leo Moon as it transmits the mysteries of radical radiant self love.
In Neale Donald Walsh’s book Conversations with God Book One, God says:
“…you have forgotten what is was like to be loved without condition. You do not remember the experience of the love of God. So you try to imagine what God’s love must be like, based on what you see of love in the world…This fear-based love reality dominates your experience of love, indeed, actually creates it. For not only do you see yourself receiving love which is conditional, you also watch yourself giving it in the same way…
Fear is the energy which contracts, closes down, draws in, runs, hides, hoards, harms.
Love is the energy, which expands, opens up, sends out, stays, reveals, shares, heals…
…When you choose the action love sponsors then will you do more than survive, then will you do more than win, then will you do more than succeed. Then will you experience the full glory of Who You Really Are, and who you can be…
One way to engage the Leo Moon energy is to do a self-love breathing practice. This is a practice your might find familiar as the general instructions are to breathe into your belly for a count of 4, hold for a count of 4, release your breath for a count of 4, and then hold for a count of 4 before repeating the practice. An alternate way to do this breathing practice is instead of counting to four say to yourself, I LOVE MYSELF, (there are four syllables in this statement so it replaces the need to count), while doing this practice. It takes about 15 seconds or so to do one round if you do say I Love Myself slowly and breathe deeply. If you do a minimum of 12 rounds it will take about 3 or 4 minutes to establish the mind body connection with your breath and to anchor this loving act within yourself. This is a great practice to do as you are waking up in the morning or as you are going to sleep at night because it truly establishes the mind body connection in a place of Self-Love and Self-Care. You may also find you become more keenly aware of your heart beat as you do this practice drawing your attention to your heart and the love that is there for us. (See Feb 15)
Feb 08, Sunday. In most time zones tonight marks the fullest rise of the Leo Full Moon reaching its exact Full Moon point early tomorrow morning when it will also go through a penumbral eclipse visible in Indonesia, eastern Australia, New Zealand, Queen Maud Land and Marie Byrd Land in Antarctica, South America, Central America and all but the extreme northern part of North America.
This eclipse cycle is similar to one that occurred in the 1960’s. January 20, 1962 was the Leo Full Moon Eclipse at Zero Leo and featured four planets in Aquarius. Two weeks later on Feb 4, 1962 at the New Moon Solar Eclipse (similar to our January 26 Eclipse that just happened) there were 7 planets and the South Node in Aquarius. In 1962 Mars and Saturn were at 2 and 3 degrees Aquarius. 
Sun and Moon were at 15 degrees Aquarius, Mercury and Venus were at 16 and 17 degrees Aquarius and South Node and Jupiter were at 18 degrees Aquarius. (Note that Jupiter was conjunct the South Node then and is conjunct the North Node now in 2009).
The Aquarius Eclipses 47 years ago were a major catalyst that helped to initiate the revolutionary events of the 1960’s. We have again entered similar revolutionary times though this time we have the assistance of Neptune and Chiron that were not part of the 1962 line up as well as many other major factors that speak to an even stronger revolution of consciousness and light frequency or as stated in the 60;s “good vibrations”.
The following quote from Marianne Williamson's book A Return to Love sums up the essence of the Leo Mysteries and is a perfect reminder for this South Node Eclipse. South Node Eclipses opens doorways to the limiting thoughts feelings and patterns that hold us back from our fully living our divine destiny assisting in bringing them to conscious awareness so they can be transformed into new lighter frequencies that resonate with the fulfillment of our divine destiny. South Node Eclipses are also a time for reclaiming any mastery from the past we have gained that supports the movement toward fulfillment of our current life intent while releasing what holds us back. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Feb 09, Monday. Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 21 Leo within 9 degrees of Regulus. This Eclipse is also related to the August 2008 Eclipses that accelerated an awakening for the purpose of living more fully from our Divine Essence. At that time the words from Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings helped to frame one way to connect with the unfolding energies. This comes from Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.
Today’s Lunar eclipse is a further acceleration of what was seeded last August in reclaiming a healthy connection to our royal divine essence. In a Lunar Eclipse the Earth passes between the Sun and Moon casting a shadow on the face of the Moon. The Moon is a transmitter and for a brief time the transmission from the light of the Sun to the Moon is interrupted by the Earth. The light we see from the Moon is diminished somewhat in a 
penumbral Eclipse, brightening once again as soon as the Earth’s shadow moves away from the Moon. This is similar to the line of the poem above that says “A light from the shadows shall spring”. (picture right shows the shadow of a beginning penumbral eclipse)
Renewing the blade that was broken symbolizes the renewing of personal divine authority, divine kingship and the responsibility that comes with embodying divine power. This reminds us we all have the right and responsibility to determine our own life path as the masters of our own destiny. The revolutionary changes have already begun and are being accelerated even more now with Aquarius/Leo Eclipses are bringing about radical shifts and are inviting us to embrace our Global Responsibilities in co-creating a world that supports the egalitarian ideals of peace and plenty for all.
Feb 10, Tuesday. Moon moved into Virgo late last night or early this morning illuminating the sacred patterning of life. The patterns are everywhere, in everything, at every level of creation. These patterns include growth, death, rebirth and all the cycles of life (including the planets around the Sun and in relationship to the Earth). Also included are the seasonal patterns, as well as vibrational patterns including light, sound and mathematics (especially sacred geometry).
These patterns or codes exist within every bit of creation, within every cell, molecule, atom, sub-atomic particle, galaxy, universe and so on. There are patterns within patterns and codes within codes all vibrating within the manifesting grids of our space-time experience and they contain all the information necessary for us to live in sacred harmony and relationship with all life. It is time to further invoke this sacred relationship through our words, thoughts and actions attuning to the information we all carry and can access within our own DNA.
Feb 11, Wednesday. Moon conjuncts Saturn (16 Virgo) transmitting the mysteries of the sacredness of all life. Saturn’s journey through Virgo reviews the structural nature of the archetypal Web or field of Energy that connects everything, noting how well it is functioning and what parts of the Web need to change. Spider medicine includes knowing the importance of where and how to weave our personal web so that what is needed comes to us. Is the pattern you are currently living working for you? If your web or the structure of your life is not drawing to you what you need to fulfill your life purpose then it is time to consider weaving a new web. Perhaps the structure of your life is already changing and you feel like a snake who is shedding its skin.
The first step is to note the patterns around you and how you are co-creating them. If your actions are not producing the results you desire then it may be time to make a different choice and choose different actions based in love, acceptance and compassion for yourself and others. Listen to your heart-knowing, and act on that even if it doesn’t make rational logical sense. (See Feb 07, 13 15)
Feb 12, Thursday. Sun conjunct Neptune (24 Aquarius) deepens even more the inner process of Neptune intending to further develop intuitive knowing and the qualities of inspired dreaming. In Aquarius this process is usually unexpected and revolutionary. The Neptunian shift often occurs through chaos and confusion. What once seemed so clear suddenly may be hazy. A fog rolls in and the clearly defined landscape of the mind is muted or even invisible. Trusting and surrendering to your inner knowing is the only accurate guide available now.
The Moon moves into Libra this evening energizing the mysteries of conscious equal partnership and coming together in equal partnership to create a new world based on the egalitarian ideals that we all have value and worth to bring to the Sacred Hoop or the Round Table or the Medicine Wheel of life.
Feb 13, Friday. Today is the first of three Friday the 13th days this year with one in March and another in November. Friday is named after the planet Venus from the Norse tradition
whose primary Goddess was Freya. Friday is Freya’s day. In ancient times, the number 13 was a sacred number of the Goddess thus Friday the 13th was a day when Earth-based cultures honored the Goddess staying home from normal work routines to celebrate her various expressions of love. This was later vigorously discouraged by the religious and political leaders proclaiming both Friday and the number 13 unlucky.
On this sacred Friday the 13th messenger Mercury (29 Capricorn) is reaching its greatest elongation from the Sun (26 degrees) in the morning sky. Mercury will begin to sink back toward the horizon and then catches up to the Sun by the end of the Month so this is the most extreme reach of Mercury as a Morning Star.
Also today Jupiter exactly conjuncts the North Node at 9 Aquarius. This is the first Jupiter conjunction with the North Node in the sign of Aquarius since January 1915. This will NOT happen again for 130 years meaning it will be April 29, 2139 before Jupiter and the North Node meet at 10 degrees Aquarius. Jupiter is a cycle that takes about 11.5 years to return to its starting point. The Nodes take about 18.6 years to return to their starting point but the Nodes move the opposite direction of the planets. Therefore about every 7 or 8 years Jupiter and the North Node meet each other in the sky in different signs. For example, in 2001 Jupiter and the North Node met in Cancer and in 1994 they met in Scorpio. In 2016 the North Node and Jupiter come together in Virgo and Taurus in 2023. (See Table)
When Jupiter and the North Node come together there is an expansion and renewal of vision connected to the Earth’s destiny in that archetypal realm. Today’s exact conjunction further seeds the egalitarian Aquarian Ideals based in the awareness that all life has the right to choose its evolutionary path. This is being reflected in the mass consciousness with the 44th president of the United States Barack Obama as a Jupiter in Aquarius and Aquarius Rising President. The hope he has inspired in so many speaks to the mass evolution that has already taken place and will continue to accelerate over this next year.
This is the type of aspect that directly impacts the middle world we live in and everything not in alignment with the intent of radical revolutionary change that supports divine evolution will come up for clearing because this is no longer just a Celestial World vision held in the place of unattainable ideals due to Middle World hierarchical systems that have fueled mass skepticism. Our Middle World consciousness has now evolved to bring about the changes that support tangible manifestation of these visions and ideals.
Feb 14, Saturday. Happy Valentines Day. Still well within the exact conjunction of Jupiter and the North Node, the Waning Scorpio Moon is energizing the mysteries of alchemical transformation through conscious death and rebirth and the empowerment that occurs when we face our fears. In his book Dune, Frank Herbert gave us a wonderful litany that is a great way to engage the fears that hold us back from living our true destiny.
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." Dune by Frank Herbert
Mercury also returns to Aquarius today until March 8. Innovative, unique, revolutionary, unexpected, avant-garde, and unusual describe Mercury as it expresses through the Aquarius lens. This is a great time to ponder new revolutionary thoughts outside the box of the old accepted reality while entertaining and expressing innovative ideas designed to radically shift personal and collective assemblage points from the old belief systems and ways of communicating.
From the place of objective awareness and divine ideals it is easier to create a space for connecting to the big picture or grand cosmic perspective that is constantly changing and evolving through the natural flow of life. We are living in rapidly changing times requiring new ways of thinking to keep up. Mercury catches up to the North Node on February 22 and to Jupiter on February 23 bringing additional messages designed to support the manifestation of the emerging Egalitarian Ideals already seeking form in the middle world.
Feb 15, Sunday. The North Node, Jupiter and Mercury are all now zodiacally conjunct the Fixed Star Armus the heart of the Goat. In the Book Fixed Stars & Constellations in Astrology Vivian Robson tells us this story of the Seagoat and Armus explaining that when the Gods were at war with the giants (and Titans), the Gods were driven into Egypt and pursued by Typhon the last son of Gaia who with his 100 serpent heads was the most grotesque and dangerous. In order to escape, Typhon each God was forced to change shape. The God Pan leaped into the Nile and turned his upper part into a goat and the lower part into a fish, a shape considered by Jupiter worthy of commemoration in the heavens. [Vivian Robson*, p.35.] Zeus eventually defeated Typhon by trapping him underneath Mount Etna.
Armus, the heart of this Goatfish reminds us of the importance of following and living from our hearts. Research shows that the intelligence of the heart is far greater than the intelligence of the mind and that the heart is continually sending meaningful messages to the brain that the brain not only understands but also responds to these messages. Neurocardiology is the study of how the heart and brain communicate with each other via the nervous system. When emotions, or feelings, and thoughts are out-of-phase overall awareness is reduced.
Learning to tap into the power of our heart is on the cutting edge of many new technologies emerging to assist us in navigating these drastically changing times. Drunvalo Melchizedek’s wonderful book “Living in the Heart” is just one example of many books, classes, and techniques that have become available in recent years.
These new techniques and processes are designed to tap into your heart knowing in ways that help you get more heart connected, including heart meditations for living more fully in the heart or leading from the heart or just plain heart living. The Great Above is also directing us to explore the mysteries of the Heart as the North Node (representing our current life destiny) and Jupiter (representing our fastest path to attain current life goals) align with the heart of the Goat.

Feb 16, Monday. The Scorpio Last Quarter Moon (28 Scorpio). This Moon phase marks the crossing of the return threshold of the current Moon journey similar to the hero or heroine’s quest when they return to the world they left for their journey. This suggests a time of mastering the experience of multiple worlds as the journeyer is returning with the gifts and boons gained during the journey for his or her people and his or her world. As the Moon continues to wane this week it is also a time to notice what the new seeds are to plant in the next cycle beginning with the next New Moon in Pisces on Feb 20.
The Last Quarter Moon is sometimes known as the Shaman’s Moon and archetypally, the Scorpio Mysteries are most associated with the shamanic mysteries. Shamanic traditions recognize the importance of personal power. When healthy this is NOT the power over others but rather is the ability to access and generate personal power from within.
Venus (10 Aries) sextiles Jupiter (10 Aquarius). Remember when Venus and Jupiter were conjunct a stunning evening appearance back around Dec 1, 2008? Now they are 60 degrees apart but Venus is in the evening sky and Jupiter is barely visible in the morning sky. Even though they aren’t visible together this is still a good time to tune in to see what is emerging from what was seeded at the time of their conjunction.
Feb 17, Tuesday. The Moon moved into Sagittarius yesterday and occults Antares sometime today. Antares is another heart star and is one of the four royal stars of ancient times, known as, Watcher of the West. According to Bernadette Brady’s book on The Fixed Stars, all four of the royal stars (including Regulus, Aldebaran, and Fomalhaut) are linked with their own unique teachings, special powers and successes when we are able to meet their challenges as part of the heroic journey of life. Antares is also associated with archangel Uriel guardian of the mysteries of peace and inspiration. In Hebrew Uriel means “Flame of God” or “Fire of God” and personifies the divine flame that originates from universal mind. This is the fire of creation as spirit descends into density and form. Uriel is also the archangel that teaches Enoch the As Above, So Below mysteries of the stars and planets.
Mars is conjunct Jupiter (10 Aquarius) very near the North Node at 9 Aquarius and the Fixed Star Armus, the Heart of the Goat. This is a time for inspired heart-directed action designed to further the fulfillment of the New Earth. One imagery we could derive from this combination of Aquarius and the Seagoat particularly as it relates to the heart of the Goat is the ascent of the heart energy, the ascent of the light returning to the planet via the heart moving the focus away from the mind and back to the heart. A great inspired Mars action to engage as a way to assist yourself and the Planet with this process is to work with the Violet Flame to purify our hearts and minds so that we can live more fully from our heart energy and our heart knowing. Feb 18, Wednesday. The Sun Moves into Pisces until March 20. This seasonal cycle of the Sun burns the fuel of compassion, imagination, and dreaming. It is a time to focus on the dreams that need our conscious attention, nurturing, and care to come into manifestation. In the cycle of plant growth this is when the tender new shoots require attentive protection and nurturing (not too much sun or water but also not to little) to grow into healthy young plants. Compassionate attention to the needs of our growing and ever evolving selves assists this physical growth process.
Feb 19, Thursday. The Moon moved into Capricorn late last night and conjuncts Pluto (2 Capricorn 47) today. When Grandmother Moon meets with Pluto in Capricorn we have one of the most powerful symbols for the power of the “circle of grandmothers” returning to guide the world at this time of monumental change. Feb 20, Friday. Mercury reaches the degree of its Retrograde station today and passes beyond late tonight or early tomorrow morning. This means we have now moved out of the degrees of last month’s Mercury Retrograde just as Mercury approaches its exact conjunction with the North Node on Feb 22 and Jupiter on Feb 23. So Mercury, North Node and Jupiter are in the seasonal sign of Aquarius but are traveling through the constellation of the Sea goat and are meeting near the heart star of the Goat, Armus.
Our destiny, our renewed vision, the message of Armus to us at this time is to live and express from our hearts, to trust our heart-knowing, heart-intelligence, heart-directed inspiration! It is our hearts that will guide us safely through these times, not our minds. Our minds are usually fear based where as our heart knowing comes from love and trust. (See Feb 15 and 17)

Feb 21, Saturday. The Sun (2 Pisces 50) Sextiles Pluto (2 Capricorn 50) meaning it is about 60 days after the Sun Pluto conjunction that took place at the December Solstice 2008 (0 Capricorn). Pluto conjunct the Sun is similar to a New Moon when the Sun and the Moon are conjunct. It is a time that further illuminates our personal and collective experience of authentic power. This is not intended to be about power over others but rather the power of our divine essence fully expressed. Pluto now sextile the Sun is activating revolutionary growth based on the intentions seeded then. Continuing to release any fear still lingering in our awareness assists us in having a more authentic experience of our essential core self. Any lingering shadow issues including the fears and judgments, and forgotten or denied skills and abilities we carry may surface now for further clearing. The Sun brings to light any remaining shadowed elements providing the fuel to transform these aspects so we can claim their wealth as the medicine we carry. (See Feb 14 for the Litany)
Feb 22, Sunday. Moon occults Mercury (9 Aquarius) and Jupiter (11 Aquarius) near the North Node also at 9 Aquarius and then conjuncts Mars (14 Aquarius). Occultations occur when the Moon covers a star or planet, symbolically covering and uncovering the mysteries contained therein. This is an opportunity to uncover hidden beliefs that limit our life experience, releasing them with compassion and acceptance. See Feb 6, 15, 17, 20)
Feb 23, Monday. Moon conjuncts Neptune (24 Aquarius) and Mercury conjuncts Jupiter (11 Aquarius) continuing to dissolve old forms in unusual and revolutionary ways. What we think and perceive about reality is a construct of our collective dreaming. That construct is in an unstoppable dissolution process because it’s time for something new to emerge, something revolutionary, something unique, something cutting edge and innovative, something that is a quantum leap from where we have been. We may not have yet imagined the full reality of the New Earth as our consciousness and awareness expands into new territory with each passing day. Now is a great time to be open to the unusual and out of the ordinary kinds of messages that are intended to expand our awareness into even greater multi-dimensional possibilities.
Feb 24, Tuesday. Today is the Pisces New Moon (6 Pisces 35) and a time to seed the visions and dreams of the New Earth. When we take time to vision and dream we begin to create the reality we are envisioning. The magic of our dreams made manifest is the direct result of consciously engaging our imagination, or clearly imagining a desired reality. Remembering the world is as we dream it, it has never been more vital to be conscious of the dream we are choosing at this time. Carl Jung referred to this as “dreaming the dream onward.”
Dreamtime holds powerful opportunities. It is a field where potential, past, and future are held in the same matrix as the present moment. Feb 25, Wednesday. Mercury (13 Aquarius) sextiles Venus (13 Aries) and the Moon conjuncts Uranus (22 Pisces) further activating the mysteries of radical change around healing co-dependent issues. When we are living from co-dependent addictions then we tend to take life more personally and will react from emotional instability and the belief that these are events are the result of unworthiness and perhaps are also a punishment from the God. Releasing the deepest layers of co-dependence and victimhood comes when we realize that the events we experience in life are intended to inspire growth and self-awareness through the power of acceptance of what IS. We don’t have to like what is happening, however we can save a lot of time and energy through acceptance and not being upset about things we cannot change. This alone can facilitate miraculous change dissolving the feeling of being punished and transforming it into feelings that are inspired by the magic and wonder of life.
Feb 26, Thursday. The Moon moves into Aries transmitting the mysteries of the Warrior who protects the Cosmic Order. This is a great time to take decisive action to further a cause or a goal you feel committed to supporting. If you don’t know what action to take then do something spontaneous that is inspired in the moment. Aries energy often finds greater inspiration through action than through sitting still. In the Aries domain taking action helps move the energy and then it is easier for the next step to reveal itself.
Feb 27, Friday. The Moon meets with Venus (14 Aries) at the mysterious 8th gate and is visible about 35 degrees above the horizon after Sunset. This Moon/Venus conjunction is near the degree where Venus will station retrograde next month marking the final council of Venus and the Moon in the larger 584 day before she begins the retrograde phase. The eighth gate or eighth Moon conjunction with Venus remains somewhat mysterious as to the exact meaning because in Inanna’s story she only goes through 7 gates. If the first seven gates mark the seven chakras of manifestation, i.e. life force, self worth, personal power, self love, personal voice, inner vision, and direct link with the divine, then the eighth gate may symbolize mastering an ability to enjoy our co-created reality. Sometimes we are so busy co-creating that we forget to take time to enjoy this creation. It is worth pondering the energy of this mysterious 8th Venus Gate maybe even taking time to sit with the Moon and Venus to see what insights may come through.
For those born in an eight year (8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 72, 80, 88, 96, 104, etc.) turning one of these ages between Jan 20, 2006 to Aug 24, 2007, this is your personal Venus return so this is an especially important time to connect with this Venus gate and ceremonial tune into what it means for you.
Feb 28, Saturday. The Moon is returning to Taurus for the second time this month energizing the mysteries of the Garden of Earthly Delight that was not subject to the Fall from Grace. Grace, in this case is defined as a holy blessing freely bestowed by God, Great Spirit, or a higher power, for no apparent reason. Grace, is not a reward for good behavior, or something that is earned, purchased, or won. Grace is realized when we are open to receive it.
Practicing Self-acceptance and receiving yourself as you are is a key to truly being open to receive the gift of Grace. Trust the experience and know you are a vital expression of the life force current when you fully receive with love and gratitude the gifts of life and grace that are always available to us when we are willing to receive them.
