The October 2009 Celestial Timings are dedicated to the one year anniversary of the 
passing of Nicole Christine who died on October 18, 2008.
She was a Divine Creation High Priestess founding the Awakening the Priestess Within Process in 1994, The Magdalene Mysteries Process in 1996, The Global Citizen University in 2000, and The Sacred Order of the Venus Templars and The Divine Creation High Priestess Process in 2007. She was also the author of several books, including The Temple of the Living Earth, My Ascension Journal, and Under Her Wings, The Making of a Magdalene.
She was a mentor, sacred sister and beloved friend and I am grateful I had the opportunity to know her, work and play with her, and to be with her for her last days on this Earth. My life was radically altered last year as she passed from this world leaving me and several others with the daunting task of carrying her work forward. This past year I have personally completed all but one of the tasks she asked me to complete for her and that will be done on November 1. It has been a great privilege to be a part of this year of honoring her legacy. I am deeply grateful for the gift of her life and death and all that she has given to me and so many others. Her life benefited this world more than words can express. Here are a few of her words from a 2007 writing…
The Pied Pipers of Love by Nicole Christine

“Pied Pipers of Love. Pied Pipers of Love.” These words became a mantra repeating and repeating in my consciousness. My spiritual family was processing as Pied Pipers of Love, leading the prodigal sons and the lost daughters back Home to the Source. Two by two, united as one, we were bringing our families and friends with us and there was singing and rejoicing in the Heavens as we were welcomed by the Celestial Host, Creation, and the Creator.
Intuitively, I knew that all who are a part of me-and thus me-my sons, my parents, my brothers, my relatives, my students, my friends and associates would return to our Source with me/as me unless they consciously chose separation. And in turn, all who are a part of those who are a part of me would, if they did not resist the magnetic pull, be drawn into the next dimension. If for a moment, anyone could claim the Light, the Love, they could reclaim their Home. How could anyone choose otherwise? I wondered.
“Listen to the new melody,” I called out to all earthlings. Nature hears the new song and is singing along. The Pied Pipers hear and are humming the tune. Listen. Listen. Listen. Choose. Sing along. Come Home. Come Home, en masse, all children of Planet Earth. Home to where your souls are eternally cradled in Love and Peace.”
…Feel your heart beat with mine…with the pulsation of the Universe…of Creation. Feel the expanding and contracting. The exhaling and inhaling. The forgetting and remembering. The exploring and reporting. The going out and coming in. Attune to this moment of remembering and coming in to reconnect with Our Source in expanded conscious activity as One. Feel the Oneness. Observing Highlights for October
This is a stunning time to see Venus, Mercury, and Saturn all together low in the morning sky as the month begins moving toward closer alignments and worth keeping an eye through October 16 when the crescent Moon catches up to Venus and Saturn just prior to the New Moon late on the 17th. Mercury is .32 degrees SW of Saturn on October 7 in the closest planet to planet conjunction this year. Mercury, Venus, and Saturn form a circle of 5.79 degrees visually very close on October 7 and 8. The Moon occults the Pleiades on October 7 and is 9.1 degrees from Aldebaran on the 8th approaching Aldebaran on the night of the 7th and visually beyond Aldebaran on the 8th for those observing in the Americas. Venus is 0.52 degrees from Saturn on October 13 and the Moon joins Venus on the 16th forming a 7 degree triangle with Saturn and Mercury is 8 degrees below Venus. This Venus Saturn Moon event is a highlight of the upcoming Shamanic Astrology event from October 14 to 18. The Orionids Meteor Shower is peaking on Oct 21 with favorable viewing due to the early setting of the Moon. The Moon catches up to Jupiter late on October 26 Pacific Time and morning star Saturn will be visible near the Equinox point as it moves into Libra on October 29.
Daily Timings
Oct 01, Thursday. The Moon is in Pisces approaching retrograde Uranus (24 Pisces 03) with Mercury (22 Virgo) and Saturn (26 Virgo) opposite. Mercury opposes Uranus exactly on October 4 and conjuncts Saturn in a visible morning sky appearance on October 7. Messenger Mercury in Virgo conjunct Saturn reminds us of the ongoing restructuring (Saturn) of the sacred web of life (Virgo) in ways that promote greater health and well being with the change agent Uranus assisting through revolutionizing the domain of radical compassion. Radical compassion includes radical acceptance of ourselves and whatever life experiences we are having no matter how difficult without having to fix or change anything.
Allowing for what IS in a safe and accepting space facilitates the possibility of deep and profound healing. Radical acceptance may feel counter intuitive to the way we have been trained to respond to crisis and yet it may be what is most needed to catalyze a breakthrough to a whole new way of experiencing life. When we experience total acceptance – we also experience a natural catalyst for the possibility of turning our pain and dis-ease into wisdom and strength. (See October 31)
There is great wisdom in acceptance of what IS on the path of co-creating our reality. The fascinating paradox of the co-creative process is the encounter with experiences beyond our control that have nothing to do with the state of our thoughts or feelings. From the reality of our limited human experience we do NOT always have control over all life events. For example, there are natural disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes, and tornados. There are also experiences such as global economic crisis, jobs disappearing when companies fail, or the death of a loved one.
We also seemingly do not have control over the life circumstances we are born into or the genetic advantages or disadvantages we may face. Some people are naturally healthy and strong while others may be prone to illness or missing limbs or eyesight or other physical attributes we take for granted. Yes, we chose the circumstances of our birth from the wisdom or our higher Self before being born and then forgot why at birth. However, whatever the reason for choosing those circumstances it came from a higher wisdom and it wasn’t because we were being punished for some misdeed in the past. It may have been to learn forgiveness, or acceptance, or self-love, or compassion or a mulititude of other reasons.
Regardless of what the cosmic reasons may be the beyond our control situations we encounter provide us with an opportunity to grow when we are willing to choose acceptance while embracing our humanity.
If you are experiencing circumstances beyond your control that feel unfair (Saturn) then now is the time to listen to the message Mercury is bringing you and the reminder that through radical compassion (Uranus) for yourself, your whole assemblage point can shift to a new experience even though the outer circumstances remain seemingly the same. We can always choose to accept what IS even if we don’t like it and often that is the key to creating the assemblage point shift that liberates us from the belief that we are not good enough just the way we are.
Oct 02, Friday. Mercury (22 Virgo) and Venus (15 Virgo) are moving to conjunct Saturn and oppose Uranus in the next few days and the Moon is exactly (24 Pisces) conjunct Uranus today. (See October 1) Today also opens the Aries Full Moon Window exact
tomorrow at 11:10 pm Pacific Time. This is the Full Moon of the committed Warrior who upholds and protects the cosmic order of life. The Egyptian Goddess Sekhmet is a great example of one who is actively committed to upholding and maintaining the law of Maat (sacred cosmic law). Sekhmet is a fierce lion headed goddess who was sent to Earth by her father RA to restore balance and order among the people.
Her name is derived from Sekhem, an ancient Egyptian word meaning “power or might”. Sekhmet carries the power to transform through inspired action intended to support the fulfillment of Divine Will. This is a time to take inspired action designed to further whatever cause you feel most committed to engaging. Any action that supports this intent is worthwhile. It might help to chant Sekhmet’s mantra as a way to increase and balance our inner divine power. The mantra is Sa Sekhem Sahu. Oct 03, Saturday. Today is the Aries Full Moon (11 Aries) at 11:10 pm Pacific Time, so the Moon will be full for many on October 4. Tonight is the fullest rise of the Moon by tomorrow night it will have already begun to wane. The Aries Full Moon is energizing the fruition of our intentions through inspired action. Also this is the closest Full Moon to the Autumnal Equinox. What we think and say are important elements in co-creating our reality. The third key element of co-creation is what we DO. Our actions produce results. If you are not experiencing the results you desire, then it is time to commit to healthy new actions. If you don’t know what action to take, then pick something that will inspire you, or help you relax, so new insights and possibilities can come through.
The rest of this month finds Neptune hanging out at 23 Aquarius making its last transit through the Tail of the Goatfish (a.k.a. Capricorn see the difference between the signs and constellations). It will be about 165 years before Neptune returns to this area of the sky.
23 Aquarius is currently zodiacally aligned with the fixed stars Nashira and Deneb Algedi (23º Aquarius). The early Arabs referred to these two stars as the Fortunate Ones, or the Bringer of Good Tidings. The Goat Fish or Sea Goat is a magical mystical imagery linked with Ea the chief god of the Mesopotamian city of Eridu. (A Guide To The Gods by Richard Carlyon). Ea was god of the waters, with great oracular powers and consulted by the gods as Lord of the Sacred Eye. Ea was often shown as a Goat with a fish tail. The symbol of the fish tail represents balanced movement, the ability to be in the flow or current of life. Neptune in this area of the sky is energizing movement and change in the natural evolutionary flow of life for the rest of October into November.
Note: Jupiter passes by 23 Aquarius for the last time from December 8 to 24 and Chiron passes by here early next year. IT will be about 12 years before Jupiter returns to this area of the sky and 50 years before Chiron returns. (see October 26 Sky Map)
Oct 04, Sunday. Mercury (23 Virgo) sextiles Mars (23 Cancer) and opposes Uranus and Mars (23 Cancer) trines Uranus (23 Pisces). This alignment suggests Mercury is acting as the messenger to Mars and Uranus. Mars has been engaging the quest of Cancer and how to create new ways to do family and community (locally and globally) providing a safe space for the children (literal and figurative) to grow and flourish. Uranus has been investigating the mysteries of radical compassion since 2003. Mercury in Virgo has the ability to perceive and communicate the changes within the greater patterning of life. Therefore, this is a good time to actively (Mars) seek the wisdom and insights Mercury is bringing to further inspire revolutionary change (Uranus) that supports the co-creation of new patterns of communication and perception that are anchored with reverence for all life.
Oct 05, Monday. The Moon moves into Taurus reminding us of the importance of taking time to savor, enjoy and appreciate the beauty and abundance in our world. One way to rapidly raise our personal energy or vibration, and thus the energy and vibration around us, is through Gratitude. Spending time each day feeling genuine gratitude for the gifts of life and the beauty that surrounds us, draws more of these experiences to us. This includes gratitude for life’s challenges trusting these challenges ultimately support growth and understanding of who we really are.
Oct 06, Tuesday. Mercury reaches greatest elongation at 18 degrees from the Sun in the morning sky. Jupiter (17 Aquarius 16) is slowing to station direct on October 12 at 17 Aquarius 10. If you have planets, nodes or angles in Aquarius, you are personally impacted by Jupiter’s station direct. Taking time to tune in and opening to receive a renewal of vision is especially useful now taking note of the synchronicities guiding your way. Jupiter in Aquarius is exploring healthy expressions of mature idealism and the awakening of humanity to who we really are in the realms of universal truth and divine love.

The glyph or symbol for Aquarius shows two waves. One wave represents the zeal for radical uniqueness, which historically has almost always aligned with the progressive, avant-garde, egalitarian, and universal ideals of humanity. The other wave represents the specific spiritual orientation of Aquarius: objective awareness, or the ability to locate the cosmic overview, the “high” or fair witness, like a great eagle that flies closest to Great Spirit.
Oct 07, Wednesday. Mercury is conjunct Saturn and the Moon occults the Pleiades as it moves into Gemini crossing into the Sacred Hoop, or Great Shining Circle. This hoop of stars is a Great Above symbol for the Sacred Hoop in the Great Below. The circle of stars formed by Procyon, Sirius, Rigel, the Pleiades, Capella, Castor and Pollux also features the Galactic Cross at the center of the Circle. In William Henry’s book The Peacemaker and the New Key of Life he says that if the peacemaker arrives carrying both the circle and the cross peace will return to the planet. Marion Zimmer Bradley’s book The Mists Of Avalon describes a similar image when Vivien the Lady of Avalon or Lady of the Lake says:
…the worlds shall once again come together,
a world with room for the Goddess and for the Christ,
the cauldron (or circle) and the cross…
The circle of stars forming the Hoop symbolizes the cauldron. The cross is symbolized by the Milky Way band that intersects the track of the ecliptic meeting at the center of the Hoop of Stars. The circle or cauldron symbolizes the world of magic and alchemy. The cross represents the world of structure and form.
As suggested in the Mists of Avalon these worlds were split long ago and the world of
magic mostly withdrew into the mists of mythic time. However, we do still live in a magical world if we know where to look. There is the magic of being newly in love, watching the birth of a child and/or watching a child grow and explore their world. There is the magic of a beautiful sunset or sunrise, music, chanting, dancing, drumming and swimming with dolphins. There is unexplainable magic when the thing a person is searching for mysteriously appears in a spot they know they have thoroughly searched several times before. There is the magic of synchronicity and being in the right place at the right time. There are many forms of magic that sometimes escape our notice.
These simple forms of magic are happening more and more frequently, alerting us to the fact that magic happens daily and we are moving beyond the accepted bounds of duality that have limited our experience through definitions of what is real or unreal, good or bad, right or wrong. This current movement beyond the dualistic good vs. evil, mystic vs. mechanist etc. supports the full reintegration of the world of magic back into the world of form. They are not separate, either/or. Rather both are a part of the true experience of wholeness and the opportunity to truly co-create the magical experience of living Heaven on Earth.
The magical magician Mercury is encountering the structural reality of Saturn drawing our awareness and perception to the ways the world of magic are already being consciously integrated into the world of form.
Oct 08, Thursday. Tonight and tomorrow night the waning Moon is rising and setting near its most northern extreme in the Northern Hemisphere and is rising and setting near its most southern extreme in Southern Hemisphere at the Center of the Sacred Hoop near the Galactic Edge. Once each month the Moon accesses and transmits energies from beyond our galactic realm indicating we are receiving a whole new download of inter-galactic information and vibrational frequency beyond the bounds of our current life experience. This vibrational shift has been in process for many years and will continue to support additional vibrational shifts in the months and years to come. Noting where the Moon is tonight is a great way to tune in and receive the transmissions coming in from this part of the sky.
Oct 09, Friday. The Moon moves into Cancer, Venus (24 Virgo) is opposite Uranus (24 Pisces) and Mercury re-enters Libra completing with this sign on Oct 28. Mercury first entered Libra this year on August 25 and stationed retrograde on September 6. Retrograde Mercury re-entered Virgo on Sep 17 and stationed direct on September 29 at 22 Virgo. Mercury will pass the degree of its retrograde station on October 14. Messenger Mercury in Libra focuses on the mysteries of conscious equal partnership and the interrelatedness of all creation.
The Libra mysteries are learning about taking personal responsibility for how we are relating to ourselves and each other. Taking note of our relationships and the messages they have for us will be especially informative as the High Priestess (Venus in Virgo) creates a sacred container for radical compassion (Uranus in Pisces) to further inform the new emerging expressions of conscious equal partnership (Mercury in Libra).
Oct 10, Saturday. Sun (17 Libra 11) trines Jupiter (17 Aquarius 11) and will trine Chiron (21 Aquarius) on October 14 and Neptune (23 Aquarius 49) on October 16. These Sun trines are signaling the slowing process of these outer planets as they prepare to station direct. Jupiter stations direct on October 12, Chiron stations direct on October 31 and Neptune stations direct on November 4.
Mercury (0Libra52) squares Pluto (0Capricorn52) for the third time since August further deepening our perception through the encounter with our deepest fears around the mysteries of relationship, family and community. Pluto is the deep alchemical initiator transforming through experiences of death and rebirth and integration of the shadow. This is a potent time for examining your own shadow and being willing to express through thoughtful, heartfelt, courageous communication consciously expressing what is yours to communicate in ways that are intended to create empowerment through greater peace, harmony and understanding. If your intent is clear the results of your communication will ultimately reflect that intention even if initially it doesn’t feel like that is what is happening. When shadow is brought to awareness it generally looks and feels messy. As we learn to trust the process and gain the gifts of integrating our shadow our creative communication is further empowered.
Oct 11, Sunday. The Last quarter Moon is 18 Cancer and the Moon occults Mars (27 Cancer) though not really visible except in the Indian Ocean. Moon occultations cover and uncover either a planet or star similar to an eclipse. Moon occultations accelerate change and even though we might like to know what it means more specifically, we also know that the meaning will vary from person to person based on the individual context of their experience.
Oct 12, Monday. The Moon moved into Leo last night and is inviting us to celebrate our divine essence, knowing the amount of work to be forgetful is the same amount of work or perhaps even more work than what it takes to be fully aware of our divinity and radiantly alive. Gay and Kathleen Hendricks describe the importance of self-love in their book Conscious Loving.
True self-love is not conceit. Conceit is trying to prove to yourself and the world that you are all right, after you have become mired in self-hate. True self-love is an ongoing celebration of who you are no matter how well you perform. It is an ability to greet the dark parts of yourself with the same gracious embrace as you greet the light. Love draws no distinctions. It IS. Love exists outside the normal constraints of time and space. That is why love can heal something in a second that has been bothering you for a decade. If you are angry or afraid, for example, and have never loved yourself for feeling that way, one moment of loving yourself for having those feelings can set you free.
Jupiter stations direct creating another portal for accessing the divine inspiration and ideals of the Aquarian mysteries that reflect the egalitarian ideals that we all have the right to take responsibility for our own evolutionary path. (See Oct 6)
Oct 13, Tuesday. Mercury moves beyond the degree of the Sep 6 retrograde station (6 Libra) late tonight or early tomorrow depending on your time zone meaning Mercury is moving into new territory after the deepening process that occurred last month when Mercury retraced its steps as observed from Earth. It might be useful to take note of what you have learned about yourself and how you relate to others over the past few weeks?
Venus conjuncts Saturn (28 Virgo) and sextiles Mars (28 Cancer) suggesting this is a time the divine feminine and masculine are working to honor both the Earth Mother and the Divine Mother energies by actively creating a new matrix or energetic field that nurtures and reveres the sacred expression of all life. Consciously choosing to unplug or disconnect from the old fear based forms or the old limiting structures as demonstrated by Neo in the first “Matrix” movie are useful images to work with now. The old forms are rapidly becoming non-functioning illusions. When we connect with the Earth and attune to her for guidance we actively participate in co-creating the New Earth in ways that are balanced and sacred.
The Leo Moon is visible approaching Regulus tonight. (See October 14)
Oct 14, Wednesday. The Moon conjuncts Regulus as it moves into Virgo transmitting the mysteries linked with an ancient pattern containing the repository for all the codes of Time especially those linked with the natural cycles and rhythms of Earth and Sky. There is ancient Arab proverb that says , Man fears time, but time fears the Pyramids. This quote is also written as Man fears time but time fears the Sphinx found in David Hatcher Childlress’ book Lost Cities and Ancient Mysteries of Africa and Arabia. The Sphinx is considered to be older than the Pyramids though we can see in the picture here that these two great structures sit beside one another. The Moon’s passage near Regulus, the heart of the Lion, draws our attention to the Lion in the Great Above as symbolized by the Sphinx in the Great Below.
Sitting beside the Sphinx is the Great Pyramid built to track the rhythms of Earth Time through the Solstices and Equinoxes, star alignments, and highly sophisticated mathematical formulas. According to some sources, including Moira Timms in her book Beyond Prophecies and Predictions, Everyone's Guide to the Coming Changes, the Giza pyramid is located where the greatest amount of land mass exists on the planet. Drawing intersecting polar lines from North to South and East to West one finds there are only two places on the planet where the intersecting lines cross. One is in the middle of the ocean and the other is where the Great Pyramid sits.
The Great Pyramid sits on over 13 acres and underneath this massive structure is an underground granite mountain supporting the pyramids two million, three hundred thousand, blocks of stone that weigh anywhere from two and half tons to seventy tons each. This represents more stone than all the churches, chapels and cathedrals built in England since the time of Christ.
The Great Pyramid is a timing device. Moira Timms discusses this further in Beyond Prophecies and Predictions. She cites several significant historical points in time that were synchronistically encoded into the Pyramid. For example, in the great pyramid the "...Ascending Passage or Hall of Truth in Darkness, commences with the date 1486 BC. This year has been attriubted to either the Exodus or the time when Moses brought the law..." In the Grand Gallery the timeline begins with 30 AD representing the year of the crucifixion and on the otherside of the Gallery is the year 1776 coinciding with the American Revolution.
The final date offered by the Great Pyramid was Sep 17, 2001. This suggests a new Timeline for humanity was set to occur by that date. For months before this date, September 17, 2001 was being hailed as “The Day of Truth” by those who knew about its significance. And... just six short days earlier on September 11, 2001 the twin towers fell and the world was forever changed. The impact of these changes are still being felt and are still in process.
With the Moon near Regulus today along with the Sun trine to Jupiter four days ago, its exact trine to Chiron today and Neptune in 2 more days our attention is drawn once again to the mysteries of Time and the “timewave zero” or zero point as discussed in previous Celestial Timings. The Sun is the center of the Earthly Time Clock telling us what time it is in any given day as well as the time of the year and where we are in the Great Galactic Year of nearly 26,000 years. Whenever the Sun trines an outer planet, that planet is slowing down to either station retrograde or direct. In the case of Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron they are all getting ready to station direct over the next couple of weeks.
These aspects along with many others have been consistently altering our perception and experience of Time. We are entering an entirely new dimensional realm that reaches beyond our previous experience of Time. Most everyone has experienced the highly accelerated and changing nature of the pattern of Time as we have known it. One way to ground our experience of this time shift is to work with the natural encoding inherent in the changing seasons and the cycles of the Moon and planets as they relate directly to the natural world.
Additonally, today Venus moves into Libra where it remains until Nov 22. This means Venus is crossing the September Equinox marker or one of the four Solar Seasonal Gates of the year (near an exact square with Pluto) and is entering an initiatory timing for deepening our experience of the mysteries of conscious equal partnership, harmony and balance.
Oct 15, Thursday. Venus (0 Libra 57) squares Pluto (0 Capricorn 57) and Moon conjuncts Saturn (28 Virgo) late tonight or early tomorrow morning. Venus began its current cycle square Pluto on April 3 adding potency to the transformational power of the Venus Cycle. August 1 Venus was opposite Pluto and in December Venus will conjunct Pluto during her underworld journey. Once every eight years Venus rises 24 minutes before the Sun near the December Solstice lighting the Ireland New Grange passage prior to Sunrise. With the Moon conjunct Saturn we also have an amplification and illumination of the newly forming structures with in the emerging sacred pattern of the New Earth. These new structures are intended to support reverence and care for our beloved Earth as we find ways to live in greater harmony with the natural world, while also taking responsibility for living in a sacred way that includes sustainability for all life!
Oct 16, Friday. As the Sun trines Neptune today (see October 14) the Moon moves into Libra meeting up with Venus (2 Libra and still square Pluto) as she passes through the seventh gate and releases her royal robe or Garment of Ladyship and any distortions she may have connected to her first chakra a.k.a the root chakra. The Moon also connects with Mercury (8 Libra) adding the mystic messenger to this seventh gate activation where Inanna or Venus prepares to face her death. The Root Chakra is most linked to survival and all that goes with it including shelter, food, clothing, safety, health, overall well being and anything else needed for basic survival. The root chakra is located at the base of the spine (sacrum). This is where according to yogic traditions the kundalini or source of life force energy is awaiting awakening.
At this Venus gate Inanna releases issues that affect her sense of safety and well being such as anxiety, mistrust or distrust, fear, insecurity, abandonment, isolation, depression, and disconnection from source. The disconnection from source can express as greed, or obsession with material wealth, or feelings of lack and poverty even if someone is wealthy or has more than enough money to meet their needs.
Physical issues associated with a root chakra imbalance include the obvious lower back pain and sciatica that are often symptoms of feeling unsupported by life, as well as digestive and reproductive issues, obesity, constipation, hemorrhoids and varicose veins. Ways to bring this chakra back into balance include whatever grounding exercises work for you. It is also helpful to spend time in nature as much as possible and sit or lay on the ground, feeling the Earth support your body while imaging the life force energy flowing into you from the Earth while gratefully contemplating all the ways you are already being supported.
Physical exercise, especially outdoor exercise like running, hiking, swimming, walking, biking, outdoor yoga, along with indoor and outdoor drumming and dancing are all great activities for balancing root chakra. Eating red foods, such as watermelon, raspberries, strawberries, red apples, pomegranates, cherries, red peppers, and cinnamon, wearing red clothes and enjoying red flowers, connecting with red rocks or gemstones such as rubies, garnets, red coral, red jasper, red agate, bloodstone, red sandstone are some other ways to nurture and balance the root chakra. A few of the essential oils that support the root chakra include rose, cedarwood, clove, cinnamon, frankincense, sandalwood, and patchouli. The best guide for letting you know when your root chakra is balances is when you feel safe, secure, supported, confident and energized.
Oct 17, Saturday. The Libra New Moon (25 Libra) is near Spica providing us with an opportunity to seed powerful new ways of being in relationship with ourselves and others that include the importance of conscious, loving, co-creative relationships.
According to the Book Starlight Elixirs and Cosmic Vibrational Healing by Michael Smulkis and Fred Rubenfeld, Spica has the ability to transfer awareness from the super conscious to the waking conscious mind and can also enhance lucid dreaming states and psychic abilities. Spica strengthens the physical body in the cervical vertebrae of the spine. This is the physical location in the body that symbolizes the separation of body and mind. So Spica creates an interchange between the separated selves assisting in the remembrance that there is ultimately no separation. Thus Spica helps to bring the principle of oneness more fully into our conscious minds.
Oct 18, Sunday. The Moon moves into Scorpio transmitting the mysteries of death and rebirth, the edgewalkers and the willingness to explore and expand the edges of our
personal and collective experience. Edgewalking comes from a willingness to explore the edges of the old and the new ways of experiencing life, bridging what has been with what is emerging, allowing death to embrace all that no longer serves, creating space for new ideas, new ways, and new experiences to birth. The Scorpio edgewalkers are willing to surrender what is known exploring the edges of death and rebirth while also exploring beyond the edges of contemporary beliefs and existing paradigms reaching beyond the known edges of reality into unexplored territory where new life and growth occur.

Oct 19, Monday. From about October 13 to November 21 the Sun travels just above the constellation known as Centaurus (pronounced ken taurus) impressively spanning about 60 degrees of the sky. The Sun’s passage here means the constellation is not visible but is being activated by its radiant energy.
Star Names Their Lore and Meaning by Richard Hinkley Allen tell us that this constellation was highly important to the ancient Egyptians and there were at least nine temples throughout Egypt that were built from 3800 to 2575 BCE to capture the autumnal equinox heliacal rise (rising just before the Sun in the morning sky) of the brightest star in Centaurus known as Alpha Centauri (a.k.a. Rigil Kentaurus, Hadar and Tolliman see satr map above). Due to the precession of Equinoxes and Solstices this star is no longer rising before the Sun at Autumnal Equinox and is also no longer visible at those latitudes. Alpha Centauri is the third brightest star in our night sky and the closest fixed star to Earth (only about 4.3 light years away). Some of you may remember this star as the destination of the Robinson family in the TV series Lost In Space.
In ancient times, Centaurus was the original constellation associated with the Centaur Chiron and the temples built to track the heliacal rise of Alpha Centauri were also healing temples dedicated to Chiron who at one time was more important than Zeus. As the ecliptic shifted and Centaurus sank lower so it was no longer visible in the Northern Latitudes Centaurus was replaced by the Archer as Chiron’s constellation. While the Sun passes by this constellation it may be useful to tune into the energies of Centaurus and the Shamanic Healer Chiron especially considering we are approaching the direct station of Chiron on October 31. (see Oct 31)
Oct 20, Tuesday. Transformational messenger Mercury (17 Libra) is trining the expansive energy of Jupiter (17 Aquarius) moving onto to trine Neptune (23 Aquarius) on October 24. This window increases intuitive knowing and mental alertness while also clarifying and expanding perception, cognition, and communication. It might be helpful to ask how to integrate and better communicate egalitarian ideals based in universal love and truth? This is enhanced by the move of the Moon into Sagittarius illuminating the mysteries of the quest for truth and the quest for meaning and the quest for enlightenment.
Oct 21, Wednesday. The Moon is occulting the royal star Antares (10 Sagittarius) around 8:30 am Pacific Time for the 11th time this year visible in Europe, NW Africa & NW Turkey. Even though this occultation may not be visible where you are, its effects are still worth noting. The Moon is a transmitter amplifying the mysteries of the heart of the Scorpion, watcher of the west, and is connected to Archangel Uriel who instructed Enoch giving him 64 keys for the New Heaven and the New Earth. Interestingly, physicist Nassim Haramein, founder of the Resonance Project, discovered the basic geometry of all creation is a 64 tetrahedron vector equilibrium grid. http://www.theresonanceproject.org/index.html
The ancient system of the I-Ching consists of 64 hexagrams or teachings that speak to the sacred nature of the number 64. In J.J. Hurtak's book The Keys of Enoch the 64 keys are said to be revealing 64 areas of physical and spiritual scientific knowledge. These 64 Keys or Codes are literally the structural basis of our entire creation. Greater awareness and conscious experience of these mysteries are coming to us through the light frequencies emanating from stars such as Antares located near the Galactic Core.
The current series of Moon Occulations over Antares are amplifying these light codes coming from this area of the sky and are helping to accelerate the changes already taking place within our personal and collective DNA. A visual connection with the Moon and Antares is a powerful way to tune in to these energies. Last night the Moon was visible approaching Antares and tonight the Moon is visible beyond Antares. Journeying and or meditating on the Moon and Antares are also recommended if you cannot connect with them visually.
Oct 22, Thursday. Sun moves into Scorpio at 11:44 pm Pacific Time through this area of the sky until Nov 21 illuminating the shamanic mysteries of death and rebirth, conscious manifestation, empowered life force energy, and as mentioned on October 18, edgewalking.
It takes great courage to be an Edgewalker, or one who walks the edges of the old and new ways integrating the past and future into the Now assisting in the birthing ascension process for ourselves and for the Earth. Edgewalking often requires being willingly to die to the old and being willing to explore beyond the edges of what is known and what is familiar. Successful Edgewalking requires the release of attachments to what has been and embracing what is becoming birthing into the power and magic of who we truly are.
In current times we have borders that define the boundaries of countries. These boundaries often touch one another representing places where differences encounter one another. When we can embrace these differences, and honor the diversity of our world, while also recognizing we are all in this together, the edges blend and merge more easily as we acknowledge our unity and diversity in this ever changing world. We may not understand or even like the ways of others and yet it is the path of the Edgewalker to discover the edges of new territory accepting that all authentic people and cultures are worthy of our respect in the same way that what we authentically bring to the tapestry of life is also worthy of the same respect.
This time of year reminds us of the importance of going further and deeper than we have ever gone before into our selves, into our feeling, into our beliefs and into our personal edges so that we can love ourselves and our lives more than ever before. In this place of deep and total surrender, with acceptance and gratitude for what IS, we find empowerment, we find magic, we find miracles and we find a new way to experience a new reality filled with great love.
It is interesting to note that according to Guy Ottewell's Astronomical Calendar citing the Annals of the Old Testament by Archbishop James Ussher (1650) according to the Julian calendar calculated for 4004 BC the creation of the world began at nightfall on October 22. No additional information is given about why this date was chosen and would be worthy of further research as it is more likely this date represented an indicator for the beginning of a new age, in this case it was around when our current recorded history began.
Oct 23, Friday. The Moon crosses the Galactic Cross near Galactic Center as it passes into Capricorn and conjuncts Pluto (0 Capricorn 42). The Moon is at 26 degrees south declination or 2.5 degrees beyond the maximum southern declination of the Sun at Winter Solstice. Once again the Moon is reaching beyond the confines of ordinary reality and encountering the Shamanic Initiator Pluto who has returned to the center point of the Galactic Cross where the Plane of the Galaxy or Milky Way and the Plane of the Solar System or Ecliptic intersect. Pluto activates the initiatory energy of empowerment through the process of bringing our deepest fears to light. This is not about denying what we fear or trying to get rid of it but rather engaging with these feelings to gain the gifts of understanding and strength that is possible when we are no longer running from what scares us as well as what frustrates and infuriates us.
When these deep shadow places remain unacknowledged they influence the choices we make and the way we conduct our lives. Shadow issues for example are what fuel the desire for revenge. If we are seeking revenge, then our energy is being directed toward that end, and we may be missing the magic of the life we were meant to live.
Oct 24, Saturday. The Sun (0 Scorpio) sextiles Pluto (0 Capricorn) signaling a full speed ahead time for Pluto now rapidly approaching the degree of its station retrograde last April at 3 Capricorn 18. Pluto reaches this degree once again on January 1, 2010. Any sextile with the Sun finds Pluto in direct motion. In this case Pluto stationed direct on September 11 at 0 Capricorn 39, the closest Pluto station to the Galactic Cross possible in Plato’s Great Year of nearly 26,000 years. The next Pluto sextile to the Sun will occur Feb 23 (4 Capricorn 56) a few weeks prior to Pluto's station retrograde on April 6, 2010 when Pluto is at 5 Capricorn 25.
Earlier this year Pluto was sextile the Sun on Feb 21, 2009 (2 Capricorn 49) a few weeks prior to Pluto's station retrograde on April 4, 2009 at 3 Capricorn 18. Pluto is the slowest moving of the initiatory bodies (no longer considered a planet, yet powerfully transformative nonetheless) taking about 248 years to make one circuit round the Sun from the Earth's perspective. These year 2009, these degree points are especially important for anyone with natal planets or angles between Zero and Four degrees of the Householder signs (a.k.a. Cardinal Signs Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn). Next year, 2010, those with planets or angles between 3 and 6 degrees of these signs will be in a powerful Pluto initiation.
When Pluto and the Sun reach 60 degrees (a sextile) from each other after the direct station there is a sense of fueling Pluto's mission for bringing about a further integration of the last retrograde cycle while also preparing to move deeply into the new territory. This Sun Pluto sextile also signals the approaching conjunction of Pluto with the Sun on December 24, 2009 at 3 Capricorn. When we allow ourselves to come from acceptance of what IS, accepting all that we are feeling including our hurt, vengeful, confused, angry, less than lovable places most of us carry inside, then we are able to accept and embrace our denied parts, transforming them through radical forgiveness, radical love, and radical acceptance. This is the magic elixir that allows our individual Will or feelings to come into alignment with our individual expression of Spirit.

Oct 25, Sunday. The First Quarter Moon is 3 Aquarius illuminating the Aquarian ideals of living free from the rules imposed by outside authorities who seek to control, limit and restrict the human experience. Unique, innovative and ahead of its time, the Aquarian energies break down old restrictive systems for the purpose of breaking through to new experiences of expanded states of awareness. The First Quarter Moon is seeking more ways to think outside the box and do something completely original and unexpected. This kind of action further liberates and frees us from what is known along with any associated stagnate energy.
Oct 26, Monday. The Moon conjuncts Jupiter (17 Aquarius) visible 3 degrees NNW of Jupiter moving on to conjunct Chiron and (21 Aquarius) and Neptune (23 Aquarius). Once each month the Moon passes by this triple conjunction amplifying this unusual initiatory energy through the end of this year and increasing the likelihood of extremely novel events that could drastically alter our current reality through unpredictable, unexpected experiences that originate outside the realm of anything we have currently imaged. From the Celestial World perspective of Neptune everything is unfolding as it should. From the middle world perspective of Jupiter these are very strange times that test our ability to trust the changes and go with the flow. From the underworld perspective of Chiron as the Shamanic Healer where we encounter the wounds that are ready to become our gifts it can feel chaotic and frightening. Trusting the process, and that whatever is happening is divinely guided, is a key to navigating these times.
Oct 27, Tuesday. The Sun is passing by the fixed star Khambalia, located in the Foot of the Virgin Priestess over the next few days exact on October 29. Once each year about this time of year the Sun passes this star. In his book The Living Stars: Eric Morse says Khambalia is a star linked with secret knowledge. Remembering that the Sun is a doorway, this is a great time to tune into the secret mysteries Khambalia represents.
Oct 28, Wednesday. The Moon moves into Pisces energizing a mystical connection with the divine and the messenger Mercury moves into Scorpio traveling through this part of the sky until November 15. When Mercury travels through Scorpio the mind is intended to operate through the eros produced when one is thinking about, and acting on, the things they feel the most passion for and the most life force energy or juice! This about aligning the thoughts and feelings with passion and juicy aliveness as our guide.
Venus (17 Libra) trines Jupiter (17 Aquarius) suggesting this is a great time to receive a renewal of vision around the mysteries of relationship as it relates to these unique and rapidly evolving times. This is not so much a time for making changes as it is a time for receiving insights and understanding and preparing to act on them. Wise preparation is the key to future success.
Oct 29, Thursday. The Sun (6 Scorpio) squares Mars (6 Leo) fueling the awareness of how the sacred masculine is or isn’t loving and accepting what IS in the moment. The Sun in Scorpio illuminates the places where the sacred masculine has self-judgment and hasn’t integrated the shadow with the light. Both are valid and have value. Once the shadow is integrated we contact our essential strength and greater empowerment can emerge. Self-love cannot truly exist until we love all the parts of ourselves, even the ones that we have judged as wrong or bad because it is both the shadow and light that informs our human experience.
Saturn moves into Libra until October 6, 2012 beginning a journey intended to restructure our awareness around conscious equal relationships and what it means to be personal. Often we resist our personal nature and the longing to be acknowledged and loved just the way we are with all our seemingly human deficiencies. After all we ARE human and with that comes the opportunity to experience the imperfections of the human condition and learn to love and embrace it all.

Oct 30, Friday. Tomorrow is Halloween and is a holiday (holy day) that originated as an outgrowth of an ancient Celtic Cross-Quarter festival called Samhain (pronounced sow-in) that marked their New Year. This was the time of the final harvest of the year and the time for honoring the Dead. Halloween was their celebration of the ancestors and those who died during the previous year. Individual hearth fires were extinguished and a community bonfire was lit. The people dressed in animal skins and heads and danced about the fire. When the party was over they re-lit their personal hearth fires.
Some Roman traditions were adopted during the time of the Roman occupation of the Celtic lands. Then came the influence of Christianity and the designation of Nov 1 as All Saints Day by Pope Boniface IV in an attempt to replace the Celtic Festival that celebrated the Dead. This was originally called All-hallowsmas (coming from Middle English meaning All Saints Day). The night before became All-hallows Eve and eventually was shortened to Halloween.
The Moon returns to Aries again this month further energizing a call to action that is inspired and in the moment. The Aries energy operates through the courage to trust in spontaneously guided action that supports the cosmic order of life. See October 3.
Oct 31, Saturday. Chiron Stations direct at 21 Aquarius 14. This is especially significant for those who have planets, nodes or angles between 21 and 27 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Scorpio and Taurus as this represents a shift toward greater synthesis of your current Chiron initiation. Chiron is the archetypal Wounded Healer who teaches about the transformative power that lies within our wounds when we are willing to accept these gifts and turn the wounds into our medicine transforming them through radical acceptance of our human condition and the paradox of being human and divine at the same time. Chiron’s story reminds us of this issue because he was one of the Gods, an immortal, or someone with a highly developed divine nature who was also developing his human nature through a compassionate encounter with a wound he could not cure.
As a master healer with an incurable wound Chiron came face to face with circumstances beyond his control. Ultimately, Chiron did not do anything wrong to cause his incurable wound. It was an accident that became his greatest initiation. It was not a punishment. When encountering difficult circumstances in life it is easy to wonder what we did wrong, or what we did to deserve this experience, or how our thinking created the situation. It may simply be whatever we are encountering is an initiation designed to take us further and deeper than we have been before into the feelings, into the human experience, into the place where we learn about acceptance and surrender, trusting that what is happening is designed to facilitate the initiation process and has nothing to do with how good or bad we have been.
If you are a human being you have experienced some kind of wounding in your life. It is the nature of living in this reality and no matter who you are it is unavoidable. The purpose of the wounding is to learn how to authentically transform our wounds and to gain the gifts the healing journey provides. Acceptance of what IS and forgiveness of ourselves and others are keys to this process. When we come to accept the wounds we carry then they can magically transform so we are no longer at the affect of them. This is where we can successfully detach emotionally from our story, and when we are emotionally detached the story no longer defines us but rather can now become a medicine teaching assisting and inspiring others who are going through a similar journey.
In Chiron’s story he transformed his wound through his desire to help Prometheus who was being punished for stealing fire from the Gods. Chiron reasoned that since he was in so much pain anyway there was no reason for them both to suffer. When Chiron approached Zeus with his plan, Zeus was so moved my Chiron’s compassion he freed Prometheus and allowed Chiron to become the starry constellation Centaurus. Chiron’s story reminds us that even the gods themselves were at the affect of circumstances beyond their control teaching them more about themselves and things like compassion, caring, acceptance, and discernment. Ultimately, based on Chiron’s choice to accept and embrace his wound and still be in service he was transformed from the Wounded Healer to the Shamanic Healer who was allowed to die to his old form birthing into a new form that continues to inspire our understanding of the value and gifts awaiting us when we embrace and accept our own Chironic wounds.
